Does anyone know how to stop my I Pad from going to the main screen when I'm using it ?
Every time I use my I pad on any screen it jumps back to the main screen any ideas
I'm not sure if this will do it, but try a rest. Hold down the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 15 seconds until the Apple appears.

Does anyone know how to stop my emails disappearing from my Iphone 4s?
My emails appear fine but then after approx a week they just disappear, I have tried to look in the settings but cannot see anything that has an expiry time. Thanks
The primary server appears to only able to turn off. The others appear to be capable of being edited and then deleted.
Go to Settings/Mail, Contacts../ tap the account, then tap account and you should see the servers below if you have access to them. -
Hi! I've just purchased an iPhone 5S but whenever I text people with iPhones it sends from my iCloud account. This means that my email comes up for other people not my name/number which is really frustrating! Does anyone know how to stop this?
Go into Settings>Messages>Send and Receive> Is your phone number checked there? If you do not want your email used, then tap on them and remove the checkmark. If there is no checkmark by your phone number, then turn iMessage off, perform a reset on the phone, hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone will reboot. Turn iMessage on. When it activates, check your settings again under Send and Receive and make sure the number is checked and the emails are not.

Wait until it finishes. It's just downloading the headers of the emails in your account and caching them offline for quick access. Once it has finished it will go back to just downloading new emails as normal.

My iphone5 itunes playlist seems to have a mind of it's own, after selecting a song to play it will randomly flash through songs on my playlist without stopping. I've rebooting, and restored my iphone with no results. does anyone know how to stop this from happening? also I am having trouble syncing songs from my library on my computer to my iphone. the songs so up on my playlist on the computer, but will not synch over to my iphone5. Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you should definitely be seeing a plus sign after tapping Edit, so I would try a couple relatively easy things (closing the Music app, resetting the iPhone):

Does anyone know how to get an episode of a tv programme that never downloaded when I bought a subscription. Episode 1 didn't download and I have all other episodes. I looked at the issues through report a problem but I cannot find an answer.
I bought a series pass and unfortunately epsiode 1 didn't download at all. I was watching the downloads and restarting once they stopped as I allow multiple downloads at athe same timeIt sounds like you may have hidden it, in which case you should be able to unhide it : iTunes Store: Hiding and unhiding purchases. (You can't turn off the hiding of items.)
But you should be keeping and maintaining a backup copy of all of your downloads and not relying on being able to redownload them - any item could be removed from the store by the rights-holders at any time, if they do then you won't be able to redownload them (nor will be able to do redownload items if you move countries). -

to figure out which users have administrative privileges, open the Users & Groups pane of System Preferences; each user other than the Guest User will be shown with a description of either “Admin” or “Standard”. It’s typical for the first user created on a Mac to be an administrative user. -

If you Google ipod nano 6th generation manual, you can download the PDF manual. Here's a quote from page 19:
Transfer purchased content to another computer:
1 Open iTunes on the other computer and choose Store > Authorize This Computer.
2 Connect iPod nano to the newly authorized computer.
3 In iTunes, choose File > Transfer Purchases from iPod.
Songs that are not from the iTunes store can be copied to the new computer, and you just have to do File>Add to Library to get them into iTunes. And if you don't plan to continue using your old computer, you should deauthorize it because you only get 5 authorizations for iTunes store purchases, and this will cancel out the authorization on the old computer. -

Draw the shape which is to be knocked out (a line in the example) in a layer above the logo. The colour doesn't matter because it will be made invisible.
Double-click in the space to the right of the layer's name in Layers panel to open its Layer Style window where advanced blending can be modified.
Set Fill Opacity to zero and Knockout to "Deep" or "Shallow" depending on whether the knockout should be limited to a containing Group. -

Have you set up any security on the Mac Connection Sharing?
Sorry but I don't use that so I'm not familiar with the settings.
But if you haven't setup and security the iPhone might not mind but I know most Windows computers do not like to connect to Open WiFi. and make sure it is WPA or WPA2.
Then again it may be a setting in the connection sharing like some type of MAC filtering or it may simply be that Mac OS X connection sharing only allows one connection at a time. Try disconnecting your phone and then connect the PC.
As to Linc's response about Windows.
Windows basically does care about connecting to open, unsecured, WiFi. But it will normally pop up a windows asking "Are myou sure you want to connect to this open network". And a simple click on yes will get you connected and an IP address.
So this is clearly a Mac OS X problem. -

when I'm on an app, on iso7.1 it will now show the "iPad/iphone" sign - the time - and the battery whilst running in an app. does anyone know how to get rid of that as its effecting the games i play.
If you can hide the status bar, it would be an option inside the app. I have one or two apps where that is an option but in most apps it is not.
