Does anyone know how to stop my monitor from blacking out?

I am getting annoyed that my monitor keeps blacking out on IDLE! Ahh! It does not sleep or power off, I suppose. Just goes black and then comes back alive on a mouse move. This is a desktop.
Here is what I have set off:
Power Management Preferencess in System Menu = Sleep is set to NEVER
in gconf-editor for gnome-power-manager:
ac_dpms_sleep_method: off
ac_sleep_display: 0
dim_on_idle: UNCHECKED
in xorg:

(i was able to disable it in Ubuntu with similar steps, although I only think it 'slept' on that distro. Not blacked out)

My IPad is blacking out during apps and going back to the main screen. It will do it in Outlook, Internet as well as games. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

Sometimes its bescause you have to much memory being used up. Id try:
1. Double tap the home button to bring up the bottom. Hold your finger down on any app until they wiggle. X out of any apps you are not using.
2. Reboot. Hold the home and power button at the same time. Ignore the red slider. Until the screen goes black and the apple logo appears.
Try your game or app again. I know if you have a bunch of stuff running in the background, and run a game like infinity blade or a high processing game. The app will close on you.

I have a bad issue with spam on my Iphone coming in from our email server from Outlook ... It only happens when I log off my computer at night? Anyone have any idea's to solve this issue.

The runaway process has something to do with Apple Type Services. I assume that "genatsdb" means something along the lines of "generate ATS database". So perhaps the issue is not indexing PDFs (which would be Spotlight calling on ATS), but your font collections themselves.

I know this doesn't help you much, but, I think you have to see if your Mac pro does audio out via HDMI. I don't even know if mine does via DVI. I think it may have to do with the adapter. Try going into Audio MIDI and setting the digital out to multichannel
and using the toslink cable for now. Lemme see...apparently DVI does not carry audio at all. Hm. apparently monoprice could be helpful? If I understand what you're saying correctly: you want to take DVI and multichannel audio via the Toslink and have it all go out over HDMI, right? Go into Settings>Messages>Send and Receive> Is your phone number checked there? If you do not want your email used, then tap on them and remove the checkmark. If there is no checkmark by your phone number, then turn iMessage off, perform a reset on the phone, hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone will reboot. Turn iMessage on. When it activates, check your settings again under Send and Receive and make sure the number is checked and the emails are not.

Wait until it finishes. It's just downloading the headers of the emails in your account and caching them offline for quick access. Once it has finished it will go back to just downloading new emails as normal.

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you should definitely be seeing a plus sign after tapping Edit, so I would try a couple relatively easy things (closing the Music app, resetting the iPhone):

to figure out which users have administrative privileges, open the Users & Groups pane of System Preferences; each user other than the Guest User will be shown with a description of either “Admin” or “Standard”. It’s typical for the first user created on a Mac to be an administrative user.

You will need to enable your iPod for disk use. Then, you should see your iPod in "My Computer" and you can open up your iPod's folder there and drag the files into it. You can store the files on the iPod, then connect it to the other computer and drag-and-drop them from the iPod into the designated directory in that computer. Make sure individual files are not larger than 4 GB.

submit report exporting list to memory
then
list from memory and then
use the returned itab along with CALL TRNSFORMATION key word to convert to xml.
but this only going to place the whole list content (including data and formating lines,etc) into a xml element and not the actual data alone in the list .
