Does anyone know how to transfer files (mainly photos) from my ipad2 to another computer .

I have tried to simply email the photos to an email address, and then download and dace them on the main home computer, but this is taking an age to do. Is there a quicker way please?

Hi, I have a picture on my wallpaper on my Ipad2 that I don't want to loose. It is not showing up in my photo file. I don't want to loose this picture and want to save it to my computer but it only is shown on my wallpaper screen. Does anyone know where this picture resides and how I can get it off my ipad and saved to my computer.

How did you get the picture onto your iPad in the first place? If you synced your iPad to your computer and got the photo that way it is most likely already on your computer.
If you took the photo with the iPad camera it should be in the amera roll. If you used a camera and a camera connection kit the photo will be in the all imported photo album. If you received the photo via an email it should be in your photos on your iPad.
In these last instances connect your iPad to your computer. If its a Mac then start iPhoto. If it is a PC then start up your image pasture application. You an then import to your computer the photos from your iPad.

HT1688 does anyone know how to transfer the existing music from my itunes account that i had with an ipod to my iphone? I had my last download on my laptop which crashed and now we have a new computer. I had to download a new version of itunes.

I had my itunes account on my laptop which has since crashed. I had to buy a new computer and iinstall the new version of itunes. It did not pull up any of my information with music library, etc. Does anyone know how to transfer existing music from my itunes account for my ipod to my iphone?

Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not a backup device and media transfer was designed for you maintaining a master copy of your media on a computer which is itself properly backed up against loss. Syncing is one way, computer to device, updating the device content to the content on the computer, not updating or restoring content on a computer. The exception is iTunes Store purchased content.

When you drag a movie from the Media Browser to the Time lIne in GarageBand, you will see a pop-up "Extracting Audio".
The Movie and the audio file will appear in separate tracks. You can copy the audio region from the sound track to a different track to keep it safe and then hide the Movie track.

I tried to give an answer with less steps. I know it's a Pages file & all you have to do is select & copy the content in your Pages file & then open Preview.app. Next time I'll include the exporting to PDF & opening that in Preview.app or in Pages go to File > Print > click on the PDF button in the lower left of the print window & choose Open in Preview.

Use iPhoto. It should show your phone in the left hand column kinda like itunes. It should also give you the option to import your photos. Then it will ask you if you want to delete them from your phone or keep them on it. Whenever I plug my iphone4 into my iMac it automatically launches iPhoto. Sometimes it will not however and I just eject it and plug it in again and then it usually shows up in iPhoto.
