Does anyone know....I have a original dock that is hooked to my Mac via USB
This is a dock from a long time ago (the date on the bottom says 2003) Does anyone know if this provides charging power on the 5V USB and 12V fire wire pins of iPods. The reason I would like to know is I am thinking about buying a 2G iPod Touch and would like to know if I will need to buy a new dock or not.
I know that the dock adaptors will not fit, but I have been using this dock to charge my Nano and Classic and it seems to work fine, its just not that snug in the dock.

I suspect not. If your dock is this one http://support.apple.com/kb/TA26107 it charges using firewire.
I have an older dock that does work. The model # on the bottom is A1153.

My iMac is connected to a Brother printer. I have Snow Leopard 10.7.3 As of yesterday, when I try to print a PDF it prints as a blank black page. Does anyone know how to correct this so that the PDF will print as I see it on screen?
If you are running Mac OS X 10.7.3 then you have Lion installed, not Snow Leopard. It's probably not important to this discussion, but something you should be aware of.
What application are you printing the PDF files from? Have you tried opening the PDF file using the Preview application that can be found in the Applications folder? Does the issue still occur? Have you tried other PDF files from a different source?
Another poster in the following discussion thread reported that this method resolved their black blank PDF issue when viewing (and presumably printing) PDF files from Safari.

There's a solution if you want to see the PDF inside Safari's window :
Go to the folder : Your Hard Drive / Library / Internet Plug-ins.
If you see a file with PDF in its name drag it to the trash.
Quit and restart Safari to test with a PDF.
If it works you can empty the trash. -
i've downloaded some free games for my iphone4 but they are using my internet because they have ads. does anyone know if there are any games that don't have these ads and don't require internet AT ALL?and if i disable my internet connexion, does it help?
Thank you. I put it in airplane mode like you suggested, but it looks to me like all the applications and ads are still running. Anyway, I'm just gonna play when I'm really really bored and use them as less as possible. Thank you again for your quick answer.

I run several firefox profiles at the same time. In the past I have used Tab Renamizer to label the main tab in each profile. I like this because then I can tell them a part from the drop-down list in win 7 when switching between profiles. The new version of firefox is not supported by this add-on. Does anyone know of any firefox add-ons that have a similar feature?
Using firefox 7.0.1core-el, i don't see the advantage of that or i can't figure out how i'm supposed to use it. for starters, i have to click the mouse in order to get "add bookmark here" to open, which is no different than clicking on the star in the location bar, or right-clicking on the page. there are also options in the bookmarks toolbar, but they all require clicking the mouse & holding down the right button, etc.
my goal is to use keystrokes only. typing on the keyboard, using both hands, using the space bar & my left pinky finger to tab over are all painless routines for me. as soon as i have to take my fingers off the keyboard & use the mouse, the pain begins.
as i said, in older versions of firefox, all i had to do to bookmark a page was click ctrl>d, then tab over & arrow down, when appropriate, to find the folder & add the bookmark. for me, as a touch-typist whose speed is between 60 & 80 wpm, this is lightning fast.
if i have this wrong, please correct me. i just see it as more mouse clicks that don't save me time or pain. -

You might try contacting the local school district's special needs people - this is something they will be familiar with. Also if you have a local cerebral palsy organization they might be able to point you in the right direction. Assistive software and devices do exist but I am too far out of that loop these days to give any specific help.

When using quick edit for compressed CSS, edge code does not jump to the particular class but displays the whole thing. This destroys the whole purpose. Does anyone know a fix or extension for that.
I suspect that beautify doesn't touch CSS that it is not aware of (e.g. new properties/syntaxes, vendor-prefixes). See if there's a newer version available.
Which compressed CSS are you using? Most CSS libraries come with both compressed and original stylesheets, so use the original one during development/debugging, and switch to the compressed one for deployment.

You may have a problem with Nikon's driver software for the 10-year-old scanner, though — Nikon may not have updated it for compatibility with recent OS X versions. Check Nikon's site for updates. -
when I'm on an app, on iso7.1 it will now show the "iPad/iphone" sign - the time - and the battery whilst running in an app. does anyone know how to get rid of that as its effecting the games i play.
If you can hide the status bar, it would be an option inside the app. I have one or two apps where that is an option but in most apps it is not.

It's currently taking me ages to send multiple emails as I'm having to copy and paste the email each time. Does anyone know if there is a way that I can send the same email several times but that can be addressed (Dear....) to different people?

When I load itunes it defaults to the store and then I get a Blue Screen. Does anyone know how to change itunes so that it will default to My Music rather than store. I need to be able to do this before I load itunes.

Does anyone know how to "undelete" a Note that was mistakenly deleted? Is there a trash bin for "notes"?
If you backup your iPad, the notes are contained in the backup. But the notes will only be as current as your last backup. If you really want to retrieve that note and you know that you backed up after you created the note, try restoring from the backup.
Bear in mind that everything that was in that backup will be restored to the iPad as well as that one note that you want to retrieve.
