Does anyone know if the scanner function will work for an Epson Workforce 840 aio printer using Mountain Lion 10.8.2?  How is the compatiblity generally speaking?

Hi,
The Epson Workforce 840 do support scanning on Mountain Lion via Apple Image Capture.
You may find the steps to configure the scanner by following the ICA Scanner Driver section below:

No. Only Apple knows that. We are just users like you.

Sorry for the practical joke, but really, there are dozens if not hundreds of threads asking this question and the answer is always the same: No one knows exactly, and that's the way Apple wants it. Apple hasn't even announced that there is going to be an iPhone 5; it's all speculation and rumor for now.
My best guess is that you'll see a new iPhone at the same time iOS 5 is released, which should be late September or early October. (Or not... Apple will only say, "Fall 2011 – nothing more specific.) But it might not be an iPhone 5; it could be a slightly modified iPhone 4, or nothing at all.

does anyone know if m-audio 410 will work with OS 10.8?

The Canon UFR2 v2.41 driver for 10.7 that was released last month also works fine on 10.8.
This driver is for UK English regions where your model is known as the iR1024iF. If you want to check the Canon USA web site for the US English version of the UFR2 v2.41 driver then you should get the correct model name.

  • I have the new Air Port Extreeme model A1521 and I need to set up port forwarding for HTTP. HTTP is not on the list in the set up. Does anyone know if any of those choices work for HTTP?

I am on a Windows 7 Ultimate PC and right now there is no Airport utility for setting up the new Apple Extreme so you have to do it on your iPad or iPhone. Does anyone know how to set up port forwarding for HTTP to get to DVR security cameras? There is nothing in the list that indicates HTTP port forwarding.

Thanks for your reply Tesserax as I did figure this out on my own. It took a bit because all of the options are not clear what they are for like the previous Airport Extreme and Apple does not support or guarantee that port forwarding will work for you application nor did any of the Apple support persons I spoke too have any knowledge for this feature. You also have to fill in the public if you are viewing through someone else's Wi-Fi or on your cell phone carrier network. This new Airport Extreme is a bit different since you cannot use the Airport utility on a PC like the older model and if anyone else is reading this they should be aware that if you do not have an Apple computer, iPhone or iPad and I'm not sure if some of the other network enabled devices like iPod Touch that you must use that can do it, there is no Airport utility for the PC and you would be wasting your money or have to take it back and get another brand wireless router to use if you do not own any of the above mentioned Apple products.

  • Does anyone know if the iPhone 5 will ship before 3-4 weeks?

So, I just ordered the iphone 5.  It says shipment in 3-4 weeks.  Does anyone know if it ever ships before the expected delivery?

Considering this is a user to user technical support forum, no one here would have any way of knowing.

  • Does anyone know if any usb keyboards will work with a imac g3

Do all usb keyboards and mice work with the imac g3

    Jimmer,
Just a note on PC keyboard function keys.  The windows function keys work but you will get frustrated by the location of the command key.  The 'undo' and 'cut' and 'copy' and 'paste are z x c and v but the command key on a PC keyboard is where the 'control' key is on a mac.  You will be giving the wrong command if you use the mac key location and the PC location is a stretch for your thumb to reach.  There is no harm done by plugging in another brand of USB device.

  • Does anyone know if Samsung Registered DIMMS will work?

I have an 2009 MB871LL/A.  Do anyone know if Samsung M393B2G70AH0-YH9Q5 16GB DDR3 ECC Registered DIMMS will work?  I am running Hauptwerk virtual pipe organ software and some of the sample sets require 48-64GB of real memory to load.

    <Re-Titled By Host>

Is this the model build year series of Mac Pro you have? (early, mid, or late 2009)
    http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/mac_pro/specs/mac-pro-quad-core-2.66-early -2009-nehalem-specs.html
The specifications change over various build year models, so to 'identify your computer by serial number' is also very helpful... http://www.powerbookmedic.com/identify-mac-serial.php
Then one could attempt to match RAM specification and compare products. Also, there is a page at OWC where you can cross-reference RAM, that also depends on the build model year series information.
I will ask the host to move your post to the Mac Pro (desktop computer area) because it is not a MacBook.
    Good luck & happy computing!

  • Does Anyone Know Of The fxscript Function In FCE That Shows Date And Time?

iMovie reads the Date and Time of a clip but FCE does not.
Simon, Piero and I suspect there must be some undocumented fxscript function that could do this.
If anyone has any information, please let us know.
    Ian.

    Thanks for all your replies.
This was the info I got from Joe:-
"As far as I've been able to tell, it's not possible to grab much of any meaningful information from FXScript. Timecode and Reelname are just about all FXScript knows about. And ReelName isn't particularly useful.
It's theoretically possible to get this information into a generator using a text filter, XML and a shell script, but I wouldn't exactly call the process convenient or intuitive.
Sorry, this has come up dozens of times over the past five years. I'm hoping this kind of thing is possible with FXPlug."
It doesn't mean a lot to me but I have passed it on to the aforementioned FXScript-writers who will no doubt understand it better.
    Ian.

  • Does anyone know when Siri location services will work in the UK?

I really like the iP4S, and perhaps moving to it from a Blackberry.
However, one of the key features of the 4S is Siri and the last time I checked, it didn't have the "there is a pizza place within 5 miles from you" type service.
I know it's in beta, so that is why.
But I was wondering if anyone knew when it would begin to be released in the UK.  I know it won't be released with ALL services available, but be good to know when it will begin to be available.
That said, I would wish Apple had genuine Push on all accounts.  I don't know if it ever will, but that on it's own is drawing me away from iPhone and sticking wiht my BB.

Apple's faq on Siri suggests that WW locations will roll out during 2012 .
I suspect it will have to exit Beta before anything else happens

  • Does anyone know when the "new" iPad will be available in South Africa?

    Hi
I'm not really sure where this should be posted. I know that there are two releases of the new iPad scheduled, one on the 16th of March, and one at the end of the month. But SA isn't on either of those lists. There is a huge demand for and support of Apple products in South Africa. I own the iPad 2, but now that I've seen what the new pad is capable of, I can't wait to upgrade!

All anyone on here knows is what Apple has published...only thing to do is wait for a release announcement.
