Does anyone know this Sample Edit function??

Hello,
I recently re-installed 8 on my computer and had to start over with my key commands. I lost one major for me and that was the one in the Sample Edit window when you highlight a section of audio and hit the space bar and it plays from where you highlighted.
Does anyone know what that is or a command for it? I checked in the key commands section under "Sample Edit Window" and tried every possible function and nothing worked.

Go to "Windows showing audio files" in the Key Command window and choose your key command for "Play Stop Selection".

Thanks again for the message. I've done the updates and have the App Store on my desktop. I went into it and searched for imovie but couldn't find the basic imovie, which I presume is what I'd need for editing?, rather than imovie 11 for £10.49, which is for making trailers, it seems. Also, were you saying that imovie would be free?

I'm getting this message by loading an XML File from my server into an DocumentBuilder. The only strange thing, if I'm doing that from my local machine (linux) it works, but executing by Java WebStart I get the message above !?!

That is the only idea left, because, in the IDE (Sun ONE Studio 5 Update 1, Standard Edition) it works, and from other projects I know that the IDE is linking its own classes.

Hi I am trying to update my email address since I quit work and left my work email address behind. I now only have one email address, but an iphone and ipod classic and want both of them to use the same email address - but am having problems using the address for my iphone as it is already attached to the ipod classic. I suspect it is to do with the layout manager. See the section in the Java tutorial on Swing layout managers.

Does Anyone Know Of The fxscript Function In FCE That Shows Date And Time?

iMovie reads the Date and Time of a clip but FCE does not.
Simon, Piero and I suspect there must be some undocumented fxscript function that could do this.
If anyone has any information, please let us know.

Trigger line allows programmer to start a process on one or several instruments at a given time. For example, an ADC may often be programmed for triggered single-shot acquisition. Trigger may be critical for synchronizing purposes.

Does anyone know how to edit artist/song names in iTunes 12 for Windows?

Usually I could click on "Get Info" and change it from there, but now it won't let me do anything with the Get Info page. Help!

I had this same problem and I started messing with it a bit then I remembered it was a read-only file that's why it couldn't be changed. So to take this off go to the song right click it. then left click show in windows explorer. After that it will take you to where the song is located at. Right click that then left click on properties. Once that opens uncheck the box Read-Only. Then left click apply then left click ok. Close itunes. Open it again and go to the song you wanted to edit. higlight it then left click file,which is in the menu bar.(to show toolbar press ctrl+B). Go down to get info and hover mouse over it. then press shift right click it and at the same time left click it. The old get info pop-up should show and you should be able to edit from there.

I have recently tried to Boot Camp my Mac OSX Lion. It's not working.
I have bought an Windows 7 Home Premium ISO-file on the web, and burnt it onto a blank CD.
Although, whenever I hit "Install" it asks me to do, what I just did.
Is anyone aware of this?

It's the blank CD thing. Windows 7 will only fit on DVD size, or for some they have the option of USB flash media.

Does anyone know how to edit a song in iMovie ?

Im trying to edit a song that I bought on itunes. I only want to use the middle of the song and not the whole song in Imovie clip...any suggestion. Please advise thank you.

I had the same problem and I used the open-source free programme Audacity which I downloaded http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/legacy_mac It is quite comprehensive and I am certainly not au fait with all it can do, but I just imported the music I wanted and then cut out the vocal stuff i didn't want and put it back into itunes, just making sure I named it with the number of seconds so not to confuse it with the original. It then should fit perfectly where ever you need to put it in your movie. I did find that I "split" the audio so that it was a little longer than I needed so it could then be finally adjusted down to the last frame in the clip. Just an idea. Using Audacity is fairly self evident. Play around with it and you will get the hang of the simple stuff. Just make sure you download the one suitable for your O/S
