Does anyone know what's going on with my trackpad?
It started to pop open about 3 months ago and is just getting worse and worse. The trackpad still works but I've been using a mouse most of the time. I've never dropped my Macbook or done anything to make this happen. I'm not sure what's going on and i'm kind of scared! It's very weird. Thanks for your help!

I purchased a Mac OS x 10.9 in December. When using Mac Mail i get thousands of incoming mails that do not show up on my computer. Does anyone have any idea what is going on? this sure never happened on my old mac. i have three email accounts. gmail, verizon and hotmail.
I posted the same question a day ago with no response. I'm using an Acer x193w. You actually don't have to switch monitors to get it to work. Just make sure you turn off the monitor after shutting down the Mac mini (actually push the power button on the monitor, not just let it go to sleep). If you turn on the monitor (push the power button on the monitor), then power up the Mac mini, the monitor is recognized. The issue didnt exist with Snow Leopard for me. It only started after I started using Lion. Hope this issue gets fixed In a future OS update.

When using Safari I will lose internet connection, however when I am using firefox this never happens. It is very annoying, does anyone else have this problem and more importantly know how to fix it?
Thank you for the reply. I did what you said, and it worked for awhile and then it started doing the same thing again. I know it's not my internet connection or router, because like I said, Firefox never has any problems. I dislike the new Firefox, so I went back to Safari, but if this keeps up I guess I'll have to go with Firefox.

After I upgrades to ituens 10.5 songs are cutting off early. It's happened on several songs. I checked the song info ...stop time is correct. Antone know whats going on? Seems like 10.5 may have a bug ..
When you say "rebuild your library", do you just mean to import songs from your CDs, etc.? What about songs that have been downloaded from Itunes? I'm obviously having the same problem and I'm seeing a lot of people asking the same questions, but really no solid answers yet? I'd say my description matches Auntiheather's above - about 1/3 of songs, etc. etc.

10/26 shipping....does anyone know what is going on?
I ordered 2 IPhone 5's in a retail store. Because I was adding a line there had to be 2 seperate transactions (according to store manager). Both transactions give the ship date of 10/26. Only one of the phones shows a charge on the credit card, the other one seems to be in limbo! I call up to check on the order and am told " we see you ordered the other one, but can't give you an update " What?!?!
I'm in the exact same boat. I ordered a 16gb, black on 10/05 with a ship date of 10/26 and have yet to hear anything. I talked to a customer service rep yesterday and they said they thought I would receive a charge to my account later that day. I've still not seen or heard anything. At this point I'm guessing I won't be charged or receive the phone until next week. Its a very frustrating situation, though. If it is being pushed back, they could send out an email letting us know.

I am trying to batch process my watermark from bridge. I have a saved action in photoshop cs5 and have used it for a while and all of the sudden it says "place" is unavailable. I have reset bridge and photshop and restarted the computer. Do actions get corrupt?
That is a very common error message actions produce when for some reason the document current state does not support the command or feature used in the action step that gets the error. With our seeing a screen capture of the error message and being able to see the document window, the layers palette and the actions palette Its not possible to tell you why the actions is getting that error message. Most likely its because of the document current state. For example place is not valid for a bitmap mode document.

Hi All, I have a Panasonic SDR-H250GN recorder which I have always used in imovie.
I taped for 6 hours, which became 6 chapters. 5 downloaded, the sixth keeps stopping at 1:01 minutes, imovie stops responding.
It taped to full capacity.

Perhaps there's remnants of that App you're not aware of... what was it?
One way to test is to Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, Test for problem in Safe Mode...
PS. Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive
Reboot, test again.
If it only does it in Regular Boot, then it could be some hardware problem like Video card, (Quartz is turned off in Safe Mode), or Airport, or some USB or Firewire device, or 3rd party add-on, Check System Preferences>Accounts (Users & Groups in later OSX versions)>Login Items window to see if it or something relevant is listed.
Check the System Preferences>Other Row, for 3rd party Pref Panes.
Also look in these if they exist, some are invisible...

ITunes error when submitting podcast? Does anyone know what is going on!
I have been trying to post a podcast for the last 3 days and I have been getting the same error message for three days!!!!! I have validated the xml file serveral times with 2 different sites

cheers....First, it sounds like you and your daughter are sharing an Apple ID. If I were you, I would reconsider this method of operation.
Second, since she is only getting iPhone messages, it sounds like she has iMessage turned on (in Settings > Messages). iMessage is Apple's method for sending messages, and requires Apple devices at both ends. -

Orientation lock, keeps the screen from rotating. You can turn it on and off by swiping up from any screen.
Actually, not entirely correct. It's the Portrait Orientation lock. It won't lock landscape orientation, as can the iPad Orientation Lock -
CD won't read, anyone know what's going on?
I bought this CD by a band called In Fear And Faith from their concert last night and I went to put it in on my PC and it won't read it and it won't even show up in my CD drive. No where on the box does it say anything about Anti Piracy(I don't think it would cause they are an indie band), but just in case I asked them on myspace and they said there is no anti piracy on it and they don't know why it won't work. I want to put it on my iTunes, and no other program comes up also when I put it in. All my other CDs work, and it plays fine in my CD player. No scratches either. Does anyone know what's going on?
LOL! That's fine! Now I understand why my computer at work updated and why it wouldn't at home. Yes, when I went to 2 different places and downloaded the file and went to run it, it stopped halfway through. Guess that's what you meant by crash. All it said was that the install was interrupted and to press OK. When you did that, the download disappeared completely.
So thanks very much. I'll just wait like you said. After all I just did an update last week again. Seems like Firefox has been updating quite a lot lately. -
With the new iOS 7 update. Does anyone know what the setting "Bold Text" means or will do? Obviously I do know what Bold Text is. It says if you click on this, it says it will restart your iPhone. Before I do this, I'm just wanting to be sure I know what's going to happen.

To be clear you called the 800 number and explained what the situation was, old machine and lost the original DVD's?
Just checking because if you just called and tried to buy the DVD's they might tell you they no longer sell them but you aren't really trying to buy them your trying to replace the ones that are missing.
Ebay may work but there is a certain specificity to the DVD's required which, even if they seem right, might not work.
Good luck either way. If you get a chance when you get the DVD's I'd be interested in hearing how it all works out.
