Does anyone know what to do if a LifeDrive freezes at the PalmOne Screen?

A recently purchased LifeDrive has gotten stuck displaying the PalmOne screen.
The device was not connected to the computer when it got stuck on the PalmOne screen. It was in a purse. Connecting and charging the device has not helped. The only screen that comes up is the options for resetting device, but if, for example, QuickErase is chosen, the screen displays a grey bar which says "QuickErase" in various different languages, but no progress bar and does not appear to be doing anything. Half an hour later, there is no difference.
This is distressing performance from a $500 device that is only a few months old. Does anyone have suggestions?

mperno, the only Verizon phones that will hook up with a Lifedrive via Bluetooth have firmware from 2004 or earlier. These phones are very hard to find now. All newer Vreizon phones are missing certain Bluetooth profiles that enable what you want. You will have better luck with phones from AT&T.
