Does anyone know where I could find a Lime Green 13" Macbook Pro Case?

Anyone know where I can find one?
I don't trust 3rd party places like ebay/kijiji etc..
Prefer almost directly from Apple(c)

  • Does anyone know the difference between the Applecare Warranty for the Macbook Pro and the Applecare Protection Plan Auto Enroll 607-8192-B APP FOR MacBook

Does anyone know the difference between the Applecare Warranty for the Macbook Pro and the Applecare Protection Plan Auto Enroll 607-8192-B APP FOR MacBook

AFAIK, the difference is that the auto-enroll occurs automatically when you purchase the device and you will have to disburse the cost right there and then. Whereas the other comes in a box, can be purchased separately later and you must manually enroll your device into the system to activate the additional protection. This must occur before the base one year warranty is over.
So, if you don't want to pay up at the moment you buy the computer, you can wait up to say 11 months and buy the AppleCare warranty extension later. Just be sure to complete the enrollment BEFORE the base warranty is over, else Apple will not honor the extension (all in the fine print). This applies to all devices that offer an AppleCare option: notebooks, desktops, iStuff, etc.

Does anyone know the geekbench score of the 2011 2.0GHz Macbook Pro?  I have heard different numbers and it all seems way exaggerated.  I believe it is between 8800+...  Help.

I found this online, but I was wondering if this is a real list of actual scores, or if someone made these up...  I will have the:
MacBook Pro 15" 2.0GHz, 8GB Ram, 750GB (7200rpm) HDD... Not sure if this info is helpful at all?

  • Does anyone know what SSD will work well/best in a Macbook Pro 2009 13.3inch 2.25 core2duo laptop

I am looking for advice on the best solid-state drive (SSD) for MacBook Pro 2009. I heard that only a few work well since there is a problem with the Nvidia chip working correctly with SSD's on these particular MBP models. I tried an Intel 520 series SSD and I was getting the "beachball" effect every 20 seconds because of the 1.5 negotiated speed link so I returned it to the store. Has anyone found a good SSD that wont give me the low negotiated speed link/ constant beachball effect?
Any help is greatly greatly appreciated, I've been trying to find a good SSD for months now but worry that I will buy one that it wont work well with my MBP like the Intel 520 series did.
    Thanks again.
Using Macbook Pro 2009 13.3inch 2.26 Core2Duo, 4GB of Crucial RAM if that means anything.

You should be able to get 3.0 Gbps from your hard drive bay interface. Not sure why the Intel didn't work for you - but I wouldn't 'buy down' to a 3.0 Gbps SSD (some sold by Crucial and OWC, just to name two): get the fastest that you can so that if you upgrade your machine in the future, your SSD can travel with you.
I've had good luck with the Crucial m2 series - I've one of the 512GB models and it's worked well for me and has good Mac support. They're not the absolute fastest on the market, but they're good and solid.

  • Does anyone know the maximum hard drive size for a 2007 Macbook Pro (A1226)?

I have a 2007 Macbook Pro (A1226). Is there a limit to the sized hard drive that can be installed? If so, what is the largest hard drive I can put into it? I have a 500GB HD that I upgraded to from the 320 GB that was in it when I bought it. I'm now trying to install a 1 TB or 750 GB drive, but after cloning with 'Carbon Copy Cloner' and installing it, I get the "?-folder" flashing when I start up. I'm pretty confident in CCC because if I use it to clone to another 500GB HD, it works fine. The problem only occurs when I try to use larger drives. Is 500GB the largest HD I can use in this machine? If so, can anyone point me to a spec sheet so I can be sure the next Macbook I buy can be expanded to suit me.
    Thanks in advance.
    Brian

You said:  "I've never tried the restore function in disk utility. Would that be the same as cloning the drive?
YES!  See the my old instructions below.  What you might try after step 5 is to restart you MBP holding down the Option key.  Select the new HDD icon and see if it boots.  This way you will know that the new HDD is operable.
    Ciao.
INSTALLING A NEW HDD IN A MB
    1. Make certain that you have backed up all of your important data.
    2. You will need a HDD enclosure.  One with a USB connection will do.  A 9 pin Firewire is better.
    3. Install your new drive in the enclosure and connect it to your MBP.
    4. Open DISK UTILITY>ERASE.  From the left hand column drag the new drive into the 'Name' field.  Make sure that the format is 'Mac OS Extended (Journaled)'.  Click on the 'Erase' button.
    5. Click on the 'Restore' button (on top).  Drag the old drive into the 'Source' field and the new drive into the 'Destination'  field.  Click on the 'Restore' button on the bottom right hand corner.
Depending upon the amount of data you are transferring, this may take a couple hours or more.  A Firewire will speed up the transfer.  This will result in both drives having identical information on them.
    6. After the data transfer has completed, you may swap the drives.  Start the MBP and you have finished the installation.  The initial boot may take a bit longer than you are accustomed to, but that is normal.
    7. When you are satisfied that the new hard drive if functioning properly, you can erase the old drive and use it for any needs that you may have.

  • Does anyone know where i could download OS x Lion 10.7... I can't find it anywhere!

I just got an old/refurbished macbook and it has 10.6.8 on it, but I wanted to upgrade to 10.7, but can't find any site or anything where I can do that. Anyone have any ideas?
Also, w/ my Mac, it won't just double click to open up folders, or hardrive, or files.  I have to either use keyboard shortcut, or go to file - open for everything single thing I want to open.  Kinda ridiculous.  Otherwise I love my Mac.  Any have suggestions?

    coquet,
I had to reload lion from the apple site after accidentally deleting my OS.
    http:/http://support.apple.com/downloads/
you should be able to get the one you need. there are several versions, but if you're running snow leopard it should work. Be sure and back up first so you can revert since installer auto deletes when complete.
this article helped me make a backup of installer on a flash drive so I can use again if I do a dumb stunt like i did last time. it's for ML, but I also made a lion one just in case.

  • Does anyone know where I can find 11.0.3 installation media/download?

My company's senior management has decided -- again -- to postpone an upgrade from 11.0.3 for at least another year. My problem is that I have no access to the original installation media or technical manuals, and I need to (worst case) be able to set up a disaster recovery instance or (best case) migrate my environment to newer, lower footprint hardware. I've been able to find media for the database (thank you eBay!) but I'm having no luck finding any media for 11.0.3 (Solaris). Any help is appreciated.

If you can't get the media you may want to consider cloning the environment to the smaller foot print hardware. Metalink doc 74838.1 documents cloning/copying an old r11 environment to a different server.
Who knows if the old software will run on the new server/OS though...

  • Does anyone know where to download service repair manual 4 all thing mac

There was page on the apple web where you can download a service repair manual. I think is on the apple support page. There was service source package for almost every machine out there. For some reason all I can find now is the user guide
Has that page been move? It was accessible before. Does anyone know where I might find this page? I Google it and I see people selling the service source which was meant to be free.

for which machine? they never fully released a total service guide PDF for most macs to the public, just for certain parts. you have to be an apple authorized service provider to get these types of manuals.
the only other option is to find DIY guides done by others for whatever task you have at hand.
