What apps are you trying? TV out video only works with apps that support TV out. If the app does not support TV out you will still get aoudio via the component cable

Does anyone know why my phone deletes my contacts and replaces them with another devices after i restore it to the origninal contacts?

i recently upgraded iPhones and so did my mum so when i was setting them up i linked the icloud between the two and since then my phone will only keep her contacts even if i restore my phone back to my old phones settings. when i have restored to my old phones settings it will hold the contacts i use to have for about 1-2mins and after that it will delete all of them and then replace with the numbers on my mums phone.. is there any way around this because i am getting frustrated that i cant access my old contacts. i have deleted the previous back ups to my old phone but has made no difference :/

Your problem is that just after restoring your device, it than syncs with icloud, finds that icloud has you mum's data and so deletes everything on your device and downloads her data. The issue here is that you and your mum are using the same icloud account - you should each have your own account

My phone just started only working on speakerphone. Just wondering what are some tricks to get it to work correctly?

Mine (iPhone 4 purchased in Feb of this year) did the same thing. Here's what I tried.
Reboot
Reset via iTunes and reinstall
*228 (verizon) programming (at this point you can see I was willing to try anything)
then looked around on the web and found lots of people with the same problem.
Called Verizon from a landline, went through all the steps they wanted to check at which point they transferred me to Apple. Apple handle the warranty replacement.
On the first transfer to Apple the call got dropped in the que,
Called Verizon again, same thing happened, but this time the Verizon representative had the mindfullness to give me a direct number to Apple.
Direct call to Apple and a person answered. Told them Verizon had checked out the phone and had sent me for a replacement. APPLE TOLD ME THE 90 DAY FREE TECH SUPPORT PERIOD HAD EXPIRED AND I WOULD NEED TO PURCHASE A ONE TIME TECH SUPPORT FOR $29.95 OR A LONG TERM ONE FOR $69.95. I DECLINED THE OFFER AND CALLED VERIZON AGAIN.
THERE IS NO DOUBT THAT VERIZON HAS THE VERY BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE IN THE INDUSTRY. THEY SHIPPED A REPLACEMENT PHONE. IT ARRIVED THE NEXT DAY.

Check the location setting for the iTunes Store is correct.
You might also try restarting the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Restart your router.
If you are still having problems try a restore.

wanting everything in a single resource is too much to ask. You should split your query into three:
1) how to make platform games
2) how to make games in a windowed environment
3) how to do games in applets
For the first, that is quite difficult to put in a book as a generic topic. What you are looking for is how to make games, with that knowledge you should be able to figure out how to do a platform game. That is quite an involving task. You will have to find out:
1.1) how to efficiently blit graphics
1.2) 2D collision detection
1.3) framerate independent animations and movement
1.4) the "game loop"
as a start.
Making games in a windowed environment is not much different than fullscreen games actually; only the size of the screen is different. Other than that there shouldn't be much difference between the two, other than at the hardware level which you will probably not have to worry about too much in your beginning game development endeavors.
How to do a game in an applet: it is not much different from doing a game in a regular Swing application. I would start there and then later figure out how to do it in an applet. Using a Swing timer and custom painting on a JPanel should get you far enough, I would think.
For later projects you may want to look into the Slick library, which you can find here: http://slick.cokeandcode.com/ . I wouldn't start there though, start simpler with Swing only.

Watermarking like this cannot be easily removed (which is the entire point of including a watermark). You would probably have to go through the video frame by frame, editing out the watermark and subtitles by hand, and then it would take a lot of work to try and reconstruct the background to not just leave a blank spot. It's not worth the effort unless you wanted to use such a video professionally, and then you would need a licence after obtaining of which you probably could obtain the original footage without the watermark.

I can only get sound through my ipad with the head phones. I haven't had this problem before. I upgraded about a week ago, but this is the first time the sound has been an issue. When I turn up the volume it shows that it is the volume for the headphones but I can't figure out how to adjust the volume for everything. I have rebooted.

Also try this if above doesn't work.
1. Plug and unplug my headphone jack into the iPad four times.
2. On the fourth time leave the headphone jack connected and rotate the plug clockwise, then remove and try your sound.

Now you've really lost me. How did we change the subject from not being able to play any movies from ichannel to being able to see the movie but not have sound to now iTunes not wanting to play downloaded movies.
Sounds to me like you have multiple issues... focus on one thing at one time.
Do ichannel movies play on your Mac without issues?
Are you trying to play stuff off your Mac onto your TV and are having video or sound issues? How are you connecting the Mac to your TV? (Output and cable usage, etc.)
In iTunes once a movie finishes downloading, it'll be listed in your Movie section, just click play from there. It should play unless iTunes is unstable or something. Quitting the app and restarting it via the iTunes menu should fix this unless the app itself has other issues.

I'm not certain I know what you want to do, but consider these ideas:
(1) If you have seen a video of people doing it, the people who made the video surely know how. Ask them if you can.

(3) The easiest way I was able to record my screen and simultaneous video of me in a window in the top corner of my display was to use two webcams. I used QuickTimeX to make a screen recording while I used my built-in iSight to show me moving in my Photo Booth window on the display.

Apple Podcast app won't display past episodes of The Rachel Maddow Show. Does anybody know why you can only listen to the episode from the last day, and then it disappears?

I love the Rachel Maddow Show but rarely get to watch it on TV. So I rely on the podcasts to listen to every day. I've been using Stitcher but Apple's more recent Podcast app has much better functionality (downloading episodes to listen to on the subway & plane, for instance). However, for some reason (and it appears to only be TRMS podcasts), the Apple Podcast app ONLY displays the last episode. For some reason, each day, the last episode disappears from the app.

Same here! Older episodes don't necessarily disappear as soon as new ones come in; sometimes I have a few episodes on the iPhone, and can listen to them normally. But then I'll look later, and all but the latest will have disappeared. I'll have to start paying attention to discover what triggers the wipe; my guess is that syncing with iTunes does it, but I don't know yet.
Whatever the cause, it's odd. I thought that perhaps queued episodes would stick around if I partially listened to them (thus ensuring that they get actually downloaded, I'd think), but partially-viewed episodes and unviewed episodes both disappear. I can understand that an episode that never got downloaded might become unavailable after a day or few, but why would one already downloaded get automatically erased?
It's also worth noting that I don't have the problem in iTunes on the Mac. Episodes there stick around in the normal fashion. The problem is just on my iPhone, and just with this one podcast.
If anyone knows what's up, please tell!
