Does anyone know why I need to verify my account even if there is money in my account?
Every time I go to purchase something, I need to verify my billing information, even though I have $60+ in my store credit.
Apple requires you have a valid payment form for your country as a way of determining if you are resident there and eligible to use that country's iTunes Store, even if you use other forms of payment. I don't have an iTunes account so I don't know if it is standard for verification to come up each time.

I am batch processing in PS 2014 (watermark and saving as jpeg from ps file). I get the message for some but not all 'this file needs to be saved as a copy with this option'. And then I have to save it manually. Does anyone know why this happens? (It is just a plain photoshop file, a watermark is added, then save as jpeg - the jpeg is saved to a different folder than the original photoshop file.) I purchased and Iphone 5 directly from apple, sim free over 12 months ago now. I have been using the phone on Vodafone with no issues. I have now upgraded to the Iphone 6 and therefore sold on the Iphone to a friend of mine. He lives in Ireland and therefore has a Vodafone Ireland simcard. Given that the phone was brought sim free from Apple directly, we didn't foresee that this would be an issue. However, when he goes to activate the phone, this message appears;
The SIM card inserted in the iPhone does not appear to be supported.
The SIM card that you currently have installed in this iPhone is from a carrier that is not supported under the activation policy that is currently assigned by the activation server. This is not a hardware issue with the iPhone. Please insert another SIM card from a supported carrier or request that this iPhone be unlocked by your carrier. Please contact Apple for more information.
Does anyone know what I need to do? I have got onto Vodafone, and they have been useless!! Apple say the phone is out of the 12 month warranty and therefore want to charge £25 before they will even speak to me about it. I requested an NUC from Vodafone, however, they are saying they need a proof of purchase from Apple as I did not buy the phone from them. I do not have my receipt anymore as the purchase was over 12 months ago now.
Any advice much appreciated.

PhillNow you have discovered that a sim free phone and an unlocked phone are NOT the same thing. Had you purchased an unlocked phone from Apple, then you would not have had problems and as it is, a sim free phone is not the same and sim free will lock to the first sim card that you insert into the phone, so effectively, you phone has been locked to Vodafone and this is why you now have problems.
If your phone is locked to Vodafone, then they are the only ones who can unlock the phone for you - Apple does not and cannot unlock phone - this is the province of the carriers only.
You had the contract with Vodafone when you used the phone and so you need to keep on at them to unlock the phone for you. If they still require proof of purchase and you cannot give them this and they will not unlock the phone for you, then this phone is useless to the friend that you sold it to - he will never be able to use it and basically, you are looking at giving him a refund for the phone for the amount that he paid you for it.
You need to keep on at Vodafone to unlock the phone for you or give your friend a refund for the phone as it will be useless to him and he will never be able to use the phone.
Hope that you now understand that a SIM Free phone and an Unlocked phone are NOT the same and I hope that when you purchased your iPhone 6, that you bought an unlocked phone? -
Does anyone know why some Apps won't load unless I buy a new App?
I've been following a couple of threads. It seems some users, myself included, have a problem where certain Apps will not load. They simply start to open and then return back to the Home screen immediately. When it happens to me (maybe once per week) it's always the same Apps which refuse to load, and they ALL do it - Pages, Keynote, Numbers, Garageband, iMovie, Shareplus all stop working. The reported fix from all users is to go to the AppStore and either update, or buy another App - even a free one. Then all Apps work again properly. It started happening for me after upgrading to iOS 5 but many users had the same issue prior to iOS 5.
So my question is, does anyone know why this is happening? I don't want to find myself out of 3G signal, or abroad when I've turned Data off, and unable to use my Apps. The fix is useful, but I can't understand why we even need a fix. Suggestions?Have you tried a full reset when this happens? This happens to me on rare occasion and a reset fixes things.

Did you update to iOS 7? If yes you need to update iTunes on your computer to iTunes 11.1
If you are using iTunes 11.0 and iOS 6.x then show the left sidebar in iTunes.
When in iTunes on your computer use the View menu to View Sidebar. The device should show up there when connected. -
after modifying a document in Pages ON MY IPAD AIR I found that there are horizontal lines across every line break when opened and saved it in DropBox. Does anyone know why?

As I've mentioned above, I was informed that updating to 5.0.1 would '''require''' me to '''delete''' the current version and then install the new one. And doing so will involve losing all my bookmarks. I guess I should have been more specific and detailed there. By losing, I didn't mean losing them forever. I'm aware that they're secured in some place and deleting and installing the software doesn't harm its existence. What I meant that if I install the new version, I'd have to delete the old one. And after installing the new version, I'd have to transfer them (bookmarks) back from wherever they are. Get it? When it updated from 3.6.9 to 3.6.13, and from 3.6.13 to 3.6.18, I didn't need to follow that process. They were already present on their own.
BTW, I'm having no problems with 3.6.18 but after learning about the existence of version 5.0.1, I'm a bit too eager to lay my hands over it.

Does anyone know why or what is the reason when starting a new iMac with Lion, sometimes a gray bar appears under the Apple that begins to shade to dark as it loads OS? It does this on occasion. One time the system loaded was VERY slow and terrible colors. Pulled the plug, re-started the computer and it did not do this. As I say, its only on occasion, not every time. I noticed in the discussion page there were problems listed for 10.6 nothing for Lion.
Please advise, if possible.You should see this 4 option menu. Click on Disk Utility:
In Disk Utility, Select FIRST AID and then VERIFY and then REPAIR the disk.

whenever someone sends me a file the Ipad labels it winmail.dat and wont allow me to open it...these are Word, Exce or jpgs. Does anyone know why this is and how to fix it? Also, how can you save attachments to a file on the IPad2
Is this a particular sender, or all of your attchments? Google winmail.dat and you will see a number of returns that can explain this, but in short, this is the way some e mail providers deal with attachments. If all of your e mail is coming that way, you need to change a setting on your isp set up. Perhaps stary here...

I purchased the Killers new album and for some reason now my computer says it can't find the files. So I tried to download the album again off my iTunes acount but the cloud button won't appear. Does anyone know why this is happening?

Audiobooks (and ringtones) are currently a one-time only download. I believe that they are all supplied to Apple by audible.com, so I assume that it's them who are requiring the one-time only download restriction. To get it onto your other devices you will need to sync it via a computer. Depending upon what country that you are in, Audible.com have their own app (Audiobooks from Audible) so you might be able to buy direct from them, though I don't know whether you can buy within their app or download audiobooks directly from them within the app e.g. whether they need to be copied via a computer. -
Does anyone know why when printing from light room to pdf the program just closes on me? I've talked to tech support and they are going to get back to me tomorrow but I am desperate I have tuns of homework to finish !!
No, but if you really mean that the way you said it, I don't know that Print is the best way to this. If you haven't already, after selecting the images you want to get printed, try clicking the Export button in Book or Library module and then selecting format .PDF. Once you export the file to .PDF, try opening it where you saved it and printing from there, not in Lightroom but in Adobe Reader. If that doesn't help, here are a couple of videos that might--follow their instructions carefully with no shortcuts:

If Lightroom keeps closing even when you try all this, you may need to reinstall Lightroom because your copy may be screwed up. -

Display image issues
This can include bright or dark pixels, lines in video, or sections of video missing.
Try turning iPhone off and then on again.
Verify the issue is not content related, by viewing different content.
If the image is too dark, adjust the brightness. In General Settings choose Brightness and Wallpaperand slide the slider.

If any is felt necessary, ClamVax is free is the least intrusive of all options.
MacKeeper is effectively a virus itself to be avoided like the plague, along with anything from Zeobit.
Remove Kapersky, leave it off. -
I am very disappointed that the length of the tutorials offered at my Apple Store have been reduced from 60 minutes to 30 minutes! As for the $100.00 fee charged for the tutorials it has not been reduced to $50.00 This was an option offered to me for a year when I purchased my iMac.
