Does anyone know why this happened ?
i have an ipod touch 4th gen when i was downloading a app the screen went black.i tried to fix it by pressing the button but it made it worse red lines appeared on the screen and after a while it got fixed but i was just wandering why this happend and if it would happen again
Maybe it will happen again and maybe not. If t happens after restoring the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod then it is likey a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I am batch processing in PS 2014 (watermark and saving as jpeg from ps file). I get the message for some but not all 'this file needs to be saved as a copy with this option'. And then I have to save it manually. Does anyone know why this happens? (It is just a plain photoshop file, a watermark is added, then save as jpeg - the jpeg is saved to a different folder than the original photoshop file.) When I upload a single file into a production in FCS, I can access all the fields in a metadata set. When I upload a batch of files into the same production in FCS, I can all access part of the fields in the metadata set. Does anyone know why this happens?

Great answer, and it led me to where to solve the problem. In the field definition screen there is a category drop down list. If you choose something other than none from the category drop down list then that field won't appear in the list of fields when you attempt to batch import a group of files.

After I add a new PC to synchronize Outlook contacts and calendar with icloud, another PC/Outlook stops synchronizing that had been working fine. Does anyone know why this happens repeatedly? Is there a limit to the # of PCs that synchronize with iCloud

Hi, My iphone e-mail account settings are grayed out and I can't add or modify my e-mail accounts. Does anyone know how to fix this? Do I have to reset my phone to make it work? Will I lose my data?

OK so this does not happen every time I start up my Mac but all most. First there is a message window that comes up and says "Do you want the application Directory Service to accept incoming network connections? I have made sure that in the firewall pane that it says to allow always and it does. The second is another message window comes up and says basically that my clock is set for a time before March 24th 2001. I have made sure that my Mac sets the time from the net on start-up. But also when this message comes up the clock is set and displaying the right time. Ant one have ideas on these issues? Thanks for any help.I’m in the same boat as Lyssa on the network issue, but the clock problem does sound like a PRAM problem. You might try resetting the PRAM before trying to get to the battery.
To reset the PRAM hold down the command-option-p-r key combination at startup, before you see the gray screen, and continue holding them until the computer chimes at least twice.
If that doesn’t help, follow Lyssa’s advice and check the clock battery. -
Months ago I switched from "MobileMe" to "iCloud." I continue to get messages telling me to switch to iCloud. Why? How do I fix this?
Get messages where? Have you signed out in System Preferences>MobileMe? - if you haven't, you should first go to the iDisk pane and stop iDisk sycing if it's running, then go to the Sync pane and stop any syncing, then go to Account and sign out.
if you still get problems, go to (user)/Library/Preferences/ByHost and delete all .plist files beginning with com.apple.DotMac and com.apple.idisk, then reboot. -
No front LED on G5. Does anyone know why this happens?
Press ON button. Fans come on but nothing else happens. No front LED (unless I hold it ON).

Cannot download songs get error 5002. Does anyone know why this is happening?
I was able to download about 4 new songs today, but then started to get an error 5002 when trying to download a few more. Does anyone know why this happening and how to resolve? I've already shut down and restarted my phone, logged out of itunes and relogged in...neither solved the issue.

My photos are not showing up as layers in the layers panel, only as one layer, so I am not able to make changes to the layers. Does anyone know why this is happening? Am I downloading them from my camera wrong? I have watched the video and the photos don't open that way on my layers panel. Any help would be appreciated, I would like to edit out the background and turn it a different color.

Photos from cameras or scans have only one layer (the 'background' layer).
You can start with that 'background' layer and duplicate it or add other layers in the editing process. For instance you can make a selection of a subject and put it on another layer; a common use is to desaturate the 'background' and to keep the color in the selected subject in your newly created layer. -
I have a canon printer with a mac computer. For some reason whenever I print something the ink on the page is all green not black like it should be. I put in a new black ink cartrridge but that didn't change anything.Does anyone know why this is happening?
You posted in the OS 9 & below forum. What OS X version are you using? What model Canon printer? Canon printers have a test print capability (open the Printer Utility). What happens when you do a test print? Are all the printer cartridges in their proper location? Sometimes when you print "black", the printer uses a mixture of the colors to get "black". In the Printer Utility, check the levels of the other cartridges. There may be one color that is clogged.

My MacBook Pro is really hot and the fan is on constantly. It didn't use to do this, does anyone know why this is happening? I have a very short battery life, so I have to keep it plugged in probably more than I should.
Open Activity Monitor in the Utilities folder. Select All Processes from the Processes dropdown menu. Click twice on the CPU% column header to display in descending order. If you find a process using a large amount of CPU time, then select the process and click on the Quit icon in the toolbar. Click on the Force Quit button to kill the process. See if that helps. Be sure to note the name of the runaway process so you can track down the cause of the problem.

When I publish a movie using Captivate 6 I sometimes get a slide that is overlayed with part of a previous slide. Does anyone know why this might be happening and what I can do to prevent it?
Which version of 6? Check the slide quality, if it is at Low, push it to High or Optimized. Then uncheck all compression settings in Preferences, Project, SWF Size and Quality.
