  • Does anyone have a suggestion for an alternative to iCal that will interface with the Cloud? I find iCal to be poorly designed and not very efficient.

Does anyone have a suggestion for an alternative to iCal that will interface with the Cloud so it works on the iPhone and the Macbook? I find iCal to be poorly designed and not very efficient. I waste a lot of time entering information because you can't go to a specific day and enter information, nor can you navigate between months and add information on a specific date by clicking on the date. You can't easily scroll month-to-month and once you do by scrolling through nine months to get to where you want to be, you cannot enter information by clicking on a specific day in the month and entering information. I just called Apple and they verified that this is the way it works. You cannot go to a date and enter information, you keep getting thrown back to today and then you have to go into the calendar and change it manually on the screen. It is just not efficient.

    APC, CyberPower are reliable.
    Look for 1500VA. As example:

  • Does anyone tried the invinsibleshield for macbook? Any comments? :D

    Here's the link,
    http://www.gearzap.com/invisibleshield-for-macbook-pro-13-inch.html

I have the defender series (I have both the black and yellow/black). It's an awesome case. It's sturdy and best protects the phone (I've tried a slew of other cases).
I bought the original versions and the cases fell very short of the expectation. They felt cheap, the silicone jacket was loose and gapped and the case was very difficult to remove from the holster. After I called OB to complain, they offered to ship out replacement cases of the revised version. I didn't even have to ship back the original cases. Their customer service is awesome! Anyway, I got the revised versions and they are great. The hard shell is sturdier, the silicone jacket is a more rigid material and stays in place (plus it doesn't pick up as much lint as before) and finally it's no problem getting it out of the holster. You still can't use the silent switch on the phone through the case but that was never a big deal for me because I just turn the volume all the way down and I'm good to go.
The clear membrane doesn't inhibit the touch screen at all. You can sync/charge with the case on. I rarely take the phone out unless I'm switching to my other defender case. The phone stays nice and snug-doesn't move around in the case.
The case undoubtedly adds a little bulk, BUT, it doesn't bother me. I'd rather have a little added bulk with the peace of mind that my phone is very well protected and still functional through the case.
IMHO it's the best case out there for top notch protection.
    Hope this helps.

  • Does anyone know when the new macbook pro comes out ?

im wondering if there will be a new macbook pro version sometimes this year  or when was the last uptade or the last macbook pro came out.. thanx

If I'm not mistaken, retail versions of Windows 7 come with both the 64 bit and 32 bit DVDs in the package (it doesn't make sense for them to market two separate packaged versions).  If you purchased it online via the Microsoft Store for download, they allow you to go back and download either version as well.  Provided you have a legit version of Windows 7, you should have access to either version.
Either version should work fine on a current Macbook Pro.

  • Is it possible for my 2011 Macbook Pro i5 intel HD 3000 to have its Graphics card replaced?

I am trying to figure out if I can upgrade my graphics card. In the future I would like to install Windows 7 using bootcamp and play multiplayer games such as Modern warfare 3.

If I upgraded those, is it possible that I will be able to play multiplayer games i.e. MW3 at 30 fps or higher?

  • Does anyone know hhow to fix MacBook Pro saying printer offline

I was using my Canon Pixma printer, switched to my scanner for a quick scan. When I switched back to my printer, a message says the printer is offline. Can anyone hlep me. There are no needed software updates. Thank you.

For some strange reason, when I switched the uSB to the other port, it went back online -- go figure. Anyway, I'm glad it's working.

  • RAM for  MacBook Pro (Winter & Fall 2011)  13-inch with 2.8GHz Dual-core Intel Core i7?

In the apple store it says no memory is available for this model. I was just wondering if RAM designed for another model (or non-apple RAM) would work. I'd really like to get some more so my computer can better handle video and photo editing. Thanks.

According to http://www.everymac.com that model can accept up to 16 GB of ram, but Apple does not certify it for that amount.  You should go to OWC, http://www.macsales.com who are Mac specialists for ram that will be guaranteed to work.  They even have on-line videos on how to do the installation.

    A) a new iPod Air

After researching this topic, I found the placing an old SIM card in a new iPad would be impossible. There is no way for consumers to remove the back cover... Without dropping it off a building. My best suggestion: Use the current plan up first. Then buy a new plan.

  • Base speed for fun;lower and upper threshold for macbook pro 13" mid.2010

i have install fun control, and i have modifiated impostation for base speed (fun) lower and uppeer threshold,
what is the parameter impostated by apple?
    thanks
    Francesco from Verona

Fan base speed is 2,000 RPM and increases upon load.
    122-158º F is normal
You have a 13" MacBook Pro, it doesn't also have a dedicated video card (like the 15" and 17" do), only CPU graphics, thus the heat is double in the same location.
This is normal for all CPU graphics machines, Intel or AMD processors. Mac or PC.
Don't use the 13" for intense graphics uses or in hot environments.
