Does anyone still have problems with Premier Pro on Maverick? and is there any known fix?

I know OSX 10.9 Mavericks introduced a power saving feature called App Nap which is meant to slow down applications that it determins are inactive (or when minimized). This would mostly likely cause problems if you're dynamically linking After Effects comps to your timeline or sometimes exporting to Media Encoder.
Try disabling App Nap for all your Adobe App files...
Go to your Applications folder
Go into individual Adobe app folders (ie. Adobe Premiere Pro CC)
Right-click on the Adobe app file (ie. Adobe Premiere Pro CC.app) and select Get Info
When the info window opens up, add a checkmark beside "Prevent App Nap"
Restart the application
This fixed all my performance issues.

I exchanged my new macbook pro last week because there was a major trackpad lag. Every time I put it to sleep and woke it up, the trackpad would delay 5 or more seconds. I took it in to the Apple store and they said it could be a software issue and I exchanged it. However, I just opened up this one up from the package today, and there's still a lag. Does anyone else have problems with that? I don't want to exchange it again, so is there something I can do?

Also, is it mandatory to run software updates when you first turn on your computer?

Installed iTunes 10.3.1 on Mac and then all tunes vanished from my iPhone 4. I hooked the phone to the Mac and Synced them together and everything returned to iPhone. Next morning the problem was back. I had to delete iTunes and reinstall an older version from my Time Machine backup. It now appears to be working. Has anyone else had problems with this?

Does anyone else have problems with retina screens? My eyes are constantly hurting and my eyesight is getting worse in a short period of time.

I've been using high quality retina screens for about nine months now and my vision has gone downhill quickly. I got my first ever prescription for eye glasses and my eyes are constantly strained. High resolution screens also cause other problems with my normal work flow as a web designer but that is a whole other topic.

try turning down the brightness, If i even have it past half way my eyes hurt. maybe it'll help

I got my Iphone 5 in feburary. Since then I'm on my fourth charger. This is just insane. I am the proud owner of every generation ipad, 1 macbook, 2 imacs, 3 ipods, 2 apple tv's and obviously iphones. The iphone seems to be the only thing that breaks expect i had to spend $70 replacing the macbook charger once. My question is am I the only one having this problem. I talked to a couple people who had the same issue and even switched phones because of it..
Today I was out spending another $20 on a cord. When I say break I mean you need to hold the charger cord in a certain angle for it to charge.. Apple needs to address this issue and come up with a new cord design.. My tracphone cords still work from 7 years ago...

I'm not having problems. However, if the basic troubleshooting steps outlined in the user guide (restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new) fail to resolve your issue, then you have a hardware problem and you'll need to bring your phone into Apple for evaluation.

Does anyone else have problems with built in website url links in a PDF not working in iBooks?

I have several magazine PDF files that have lots of website url links built in to them.
When I click the links when viewing the PDFs via iBooks they often don't work.
However, the exact same PDF when viewing/clicking using other PDF apps like GoodReader work perfectly fine.
Nothing else is different except which app I am using to view the PDFs.
Anyone?

It would appear iBook app doesn't support hyperlinks except within a document.

We just purchase a new Mac Pro for our video producer and are having major issues. Scrubbing and viewing video is dicey at best. Audio drop-outs, studdering playback, compression artifacts. Really unusable at this point. Seems like the video hardware or drivers but not sure. Wow this machine was major bucks. Hope it's just a software fix. Back to the iMac for now! Here are the specs:
3.0GHz 8-core with 25MB of L3 cache
64GB (4x16GB) of 1866MHz DDR3 ECC
1TB PCIe-based flash storage
Dual AMD FirePro D700 GPUs with 6GB of GDDR5 VRAM each

I'd take it into my local APple store and have them look at it. There may be something wrong inside your device.

Bootup holding CMD+r, or the Option/alt key to boot from the Restore partition & use Disk Utility from there to Repair the Disk, then Repair Permissions.
If that doesn't work...
To find out if it's system wide or user specific, try this...
Open System Preferences>Users & Groups, unlock the lock, click on the little plus icon, make a new admin account, log out & into the new account.

Here are some troubleshooting steps that I could recommend when experiencing Home button issues. The article below is labeled for the iPhone, but the steps are the same for your iPad.
The Home button is slow to respond
If the Home button is slow to respond when exiting one application, try another application.
If the issue exists only in certain applications, try removing and reinstalling those applications. Get further assistance in installing and troubleshooting applications.
If the issue continues, Try turning iPhone off and then on again. If the iPhone will not restart, try resetting it.
If the issue is still happening, try to restore the iPhone.
Seek service is the issue is still occurring.
The Home button isn't working
Put the iPhone to sleep.
Wait a couple of seconds.
Press the Home button.
iPhone should wake up.
If iPhone does not wake up, then iPhone should be serviced.
If the issue persists after all the steps have been processed see the last section labeled issue not resolved.

it's well known, that in all these cases you describe I'm not a friend of a detailed Troubleshooting (I see Nancy#s smile already).
To be able to be independent in all this things It is one of the reasons why I prefer an external FTP program. The difficulties with which you have to fight encourage me in this opinion, not least because we always search for experts, we don't charge a "jack of all trades".
To manage several websites or to upload my files and sometimes for the opposite way, for a necessary download from my server or to use a "a site-wide synch", I'm using FileZilla. It simply looks easier for me to keep track of all operations precisely and generate or reflect easily the desired tree structure.
Above all, FileZilla has a feature (translation from my German FileZilla) called "compare file list". Here it's possible to use file size or modification time as a criterion. There is also the possibility to "hide identical files", so that only these files which you want to redact remain visible.
And even if it means you have to install a new program, I am convinced that there is an advantage. Here is the link to get it and where you can read informations about how it works:

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
