Does anyone think mac mini could connect to a mac book?
this little white macbook has a tiny 50 gig drive. could i use a mac mini and use this laptop screen and keyboard? then i would have another processor, maybe another os and way more storage? with firewire, usb, or is this not at all feasable?
p.s. were is the spell check you cheap or (lazy?) peoples?
A Mac mini would, in reality, be a very expensive and inefficient way to add an external drive to a MacBook, and that is really all you'd get if you connected one to the laptop. Certainly you could use one of the many flavors of VNC to control the mini from the MacBook and thus somewhat obliquely use the MacBook's screen and keyboard as output and input for the mini, but it isn't particularly efficient and is rarely satisfactory for much other than running basic software.
Better to simply add an external hard drive to your MacBook. Much less expensive, and much more potential capacity.

Oh, you mean as in 'feasable'?!
By the way, if you didn't already know, you can enable a spell check in any web browser or text input window, by right-clicking (or Option-clicking if you have a single button mouse) and selecting 'Spelling and Grammar', then 'Check Spelling while Typing'.

I am able to connect to my Mac Mini on Back to My Mac through iCloud but the keyboard/trackpad on the MBAir or MBP with which I access does not register on the Mini. So I can see the screen but cannot interact with it. Mini works accessing MBP/Air and I can use Mini to input data or interact with screens of those computers.
Regarding your first question about bookmarks, I think you discovered the answer in when you pressed the address bar. The second tab there has your bookmarks.
As for the keyboard, I'm not sure why your Firefox is reacting so slowly; mine seems to show keyboards even when I don't want them. If you have accumulated a lot of history, perhaps that's an issue?
Did you use any third party software to move your Firefox data from internal memory to the storage card? -
I am unable to get my iPhone 4S to connect to any wifi connection, I have reset my phone as well as visitedn my cellular provider without success. Does anyone know how I could possibly get my phone to connect to wifi?

This is very disappointing from The Carphone Warehouse. If they had mentioned this when I went into their stores, I wouldn't have completed the purchases. I bought two phones at separate outlets and neither of them told me this.
I have been in contact with T-Mobile already as I thought they had sneakily applied a software update that locked the phone. They have denied locking it and suggest that it is something that Apple do. Their solution was a factory reset.
I have a call logged with Apple this afternoon, so will see what they suggest. Hopefully they will give me something that I can take to The Carphone Warehouse or T-Mobile. -

Look up "screen sharing" in help
You can control your mini (which I am assuming you are hooking to your TV) complete from your iMac.
After you set up screen sharing, you can go to the finder, under the "go" menu choose "Connect to server" and then browse. Choose your mac mini's name, and look for the "Screen Sharing" button.
Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, and then click Sharing.
Select the Screen Sharing checkbox.
To specify who can share your screen, select one of the following:
All users:
Select this if you want to allow any user with a user account on your computer to share your screen.
Only these users:
Select this if you want to restrict screen sharing to specific users.Click Add at the bottom of the Users list and select a user from Users & Groups (accounts you have set up in Users & Groups preferences), Network Users (users on your network), or your Address Book. If I were you, I would reinstall itunes. BACKUP ALL YOUR ITUNES MEDIA TO AN EXTERNAL STORAGE DEVICE BEFORE DOING THIS PLEASE.

After I sync my ipod itunes is giving me the message that backup for my ipod cannot be saved on the computer does anyone know what I could do to fix this issue?

Mac-Mini wont connect to wired ethernet
I can not get my Mac-Mini to connect to the internet via a wired ethernet cable. When I try to connect it says it is getting an IP address and then boots out and tries again. Its a never ending cycle. It does this in both OS X, and Windows. Do I have a bum network card?

Some ISPs can be fussy about the number of devices you connect to the internet.
If the Modem routes then it tends to be this network card that is in effect "registered" with the ISP.
If you have a cable modem then a Router then the router tends to be the device "registered".
If no router then that is obviously you computer's MAC address.
Some ISPs will go as far as requesting to actually type in the MAC card address and formally request to change it.
It sounds like you have here a system of monitoring that is not that "up front" and causes problems enough for people to have several computers and just swap them.
I would guess it allows one change, like you would need if you have a new computer.

My mac mini loses connection with my receiver after turning off the receiver then back on
My Mac Mini loses connection with my Onkyo receiver NR-609 after turning off the receiver then back on. The only way to reistablish the connection is to unplug then replug the HDMI cable to the Mac Mini. There's no effect if I unplug then replug the HDMI to the receiver. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. I've searched a lot but haven't found much of anything so if this is covered elsewhere I would greatly appreciate a link.
Thanks in advanceHi and thanks. I don't know about the audio prefs. When it happens I am not able to see or hear anything from the computer until I un/re-plug the HDMI to the Mini. I'm not sure it's changing to something else because there's nothing else connected for it to change to. I could see that perhaps the audio will change to the Mac Mini's internal speaker.
I found out last night that if, after I lose the signal, I use my ipad to play a video on the Mac Mini using the Remote app and home sharing the signal gets righted and I can see/hear the computer again. It's quite an inconvenient fix though and I wish and hope someone here can help me. -

Same problem for me: Since update to Lion my WLAN connection to my router (AVM fritz!box fon 7141) get's lost almost every time the computer is on idle for a couple of minutes. Deactivating and reactivating helps, but of course only until the problem occurs again.
BTW: I'm running Mac OS X Lion (10.7.3) on a iMac 27" 3.2 GHz i3 (mid 2010 model).
I'm really annoyed by this problem and looking forward for APPLES fix. -

You can view NetFlix and YouTube via their websites on a Mac computer. You can purchase/play iTunes movies and other thing via iTunes on the Mac.

Since you mentioned an Early 2009 iMac I assume that it is a 24" iMac which sadly has not this capability.
