Does ANYONE using lP6 get the option not to import duplicates?
Not having the opetion to not import duplicates is a serious problem. It worked in iP4, it didn't work in iP5 until I trashed my prefs, but that fix doesn't work in iP6. I know there's a workaround with Image Capture, but I'd prefer that iP6 work at least as well as previous versions without my having to work around a bug.
Does anyone get the option not to import dupes?

I did what you had done, and I got the No Duplicates option!
I am guessing that the reason I did not get the option before might be that the photos that were dupes had been originally imported into iP5, and for whatever reason iP6 couldn't detect them as dupes. The photos I just tested were imported in iP6, and it recognized them as duplicates.

I am using DVD Studio Pro to create a DVD. The assets total about 2.4GBs using a 4.7 GB disc I still get the error " not enough space on disc" Does anyone know why?

I have an iPad 2 and the newest apple tv. I do not get the option to turn mirroring on in the AirPlay function. I have tried the suggestions I've seen on here so far, but nothing has worked. Has anyone come up with a fix to this problem?
Your Apple TV and iOS device (iPad) need to be on the same network subnet. If they are you can verify when playing that the ATV is set as the output device by clicking the icon to the the right of the fast-forwrd button. Or you can double-click the home button and swipe left twice to see this.

Does anyone know how well the Intel Iris Pro installed on new 15" MacBook Pros performs using Photoshop and Lightroom? I have seen some differing opinions out there, and I would rather not shell out the extra cash for the Nvidia if I don't have to. I mostly do photo editing for business and personal use. I have not used the 3D function in Photoshop, but I would like to know that I could.

I am having problems using mov files imported into a project. I get the message "Not rendered" in the Canvas and clip won't play. Can anyone help?
When clips won't play without rendering in the Timeline, it usually means that the clip's specs don't match the Sequence settings.
A .mov file could be made from any number of codecs; the QuickTime Movie designation is merely a container for video files of all kinds. Since FCE only works with the QuickTime DV codec and the Apple Intermediate Codec (AIC) natively, if your mov files aren't one of those two, you need to convert them PRIOR to importing into your FCE project.

when I try to use bluetooth speakers, the option to switch to bluetooth speakers does not appear in ipod mode
- Make sure the mic hole is clear and unobstructed. It is the little hole on the back by the camera lens(if has back camera). For the 16 GB one without the back camera the mic hole is on the top edge near the center.
- Open the Voice Memos app and see if you see movement on the VU meter needle or changes in the moving waveform graph with changes in noise level trying to be recorded.
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

If you do not want to enter a credit card when you create an account you can use an iTunes Store card to add credit to an account. This is what allows you to have the "None" payment option.

Aperture 3 Library Rebuild - Not getting the option..

I'm very frustrated. Running 3.01 and unable to export anything - all my photos are locked into Aperture!! I am trying to Rebuild my library. I have tried Command+Option when double-clicking on the Aperture Library yet it just starts as normal and immediately goes into "processing". I twice managed to get the option to repair/rebuild etc but that's in about 50 attempts. I just have tried this at least 20-30 times and still nothing. Is there another way of getting this option up??

Stuart.If this isn't working for you (not sure why as it worked for myself and most others who have posted the SHIFT key solution...) try this:
Locate which project is being processed for photos, count from the end backwards to locate the 31st photo if this is the photo number where your processing activity hangs. You can verify by individually generating a new thumbnail for each photo until the hang starts again. After locating the troublesome photo: remove the photo to your desktop. Reimport the photo to the project. See if this works. I too had one bad photo in a mobileme gallery having a problem generating a thumbnail. While I could use the shift key to boot into Aperture and work, to fix the problem I had to remove and then reimport the photo to make a proper thumbnail and stop the process loop each time I wanted to publish my specific gallery. I did, however, notice that my photo was a panorama. Sometimes wonky things happen with panos and I think it has something to do with the EXIF data. Perhaps it was the name of the master file. Not sure...good luck and post any developments. -
I misplaced my ipad, so I remotely erased it. Then I found it, but now I cannot use all of the options in the settings. I have restored from backup, but it still is not letting me use all functionality. Help!

Step 1: Turn off the iPhone. To do this press and hold the power button till you see the “Slide to Power off” screen. Now slide the button to turn it off.
In case your iPhone is stuck in an infinite loop and the previous option is unavailable, press and hold the Power and Home button till the screen goes off. Remember to leave both the buttons as soon as the screen goes off and before the Apple logo appears again.
Step 2: Connect the iPhone’s USB cable to your computer but not to your iPhone yet.
Step 3: Now hold down the Home button and while you are holding it connect the USB cable. Keep holding the Home button till you see the Connect to iTunes screen on your iPhone(Screenshot shown below). iTunes will show an alert saying a device in recovery mode has been detected.

Every iPod, since the first generation model back in 2001 (of which I am proud to be an original owner) has always scratched on all surfaces – front, back, you name it, but basically everything scratches and this is nothing new. If you toss your shiny new cell phone into your pocket with your car keys it is also bound to be scratched. Just because the iPod costs about ten times more than your cell phone doesn't mean that the iPod is scratch-proof or will stop a bullet.
If you go out and buy a brand new, scratchless BMW are you going to expect it to never get a scratch or fingerprint on it? Excuse me, but get real or get a case for it.
2. Transferring video to the iPod was meant to be "easy" for videos that you have purchased over iTunes. It gets more complicated when you want to "back up" your DVDs or avi files that you have on your computer. Unfortunately, QuickTime Pro is not the fastest option for converting to m4v format. There are dozens of applications out there that will rip your DVDs to your hard drive and a handful more which will take this file and convert it to an iPod-friendly format.
3. It's possible to use your iPod with more than one computer without it being erased. When you connect the iPod to a computer which isn't the first one you used it with, it will say that the iTunes library is not the same one on your iPod and whether or not you want to overwrite the iPod. Obviously you can click no. In the iPod's preferences (found in iTunes), click "manually transfer songs and playlists". You can now take single songs or entire albums from your secondary computer and put them on your iPod. -
After updating my Apple TV I no longer get the option on my iPhone to transfer it yo the Apple TV, the icon does not appear!!!! Please help!!
Try rebooting Apple TV, iPhone, Router. Make sure all are up to date.

As you haven't told us who your email provider is, no.
There isn't an SMTP server for Greece - it is either provided by your email provider, or the Internet provider you are connected through. -
My daughter has entered the wrong passcode too many times on her iPOD Touch, it is now disabled. When I connect to iTunes, it will not let me go any further until I enter the correct passcode. I no longer get the option to do this, all I get is iPOD disabled. Help Please
