Does setting up a personal hot spot allow other people to use up your cellular data
by setting up your own personal hot spot does it allow other people to use up you cellular data?
Basically yes. Personal Hotspot means you are sharing out your Cellular Data connection.
If you give the Hotspot password to someone they will use your Cellular data to access the internet. -
I want to use my apple TV as a second monitor not a mirrored one, in other words, I want to use my TV as a second screen not a copy of my first screen, other people have asked this question but have been given mirroring answers so I am spelling it out here very specifically. I want a second display. This should be possible and would be awesome. Anyone know how to do this?
Nevermind I just installed it to try it and it's awesome, so happy right now, Thanks. All the things I had read about it on third party sites led me to believe it could not do extended desk tops, thanks for your help!

Does Apple allow Franchise Apple stores? (Barbados, West Indies)
I have a question.
Does Apple allow persons to work with them to open a store as a Franchise?
In the former British West Indies region we could really use an Apple store, especially here in Barbados. (I know Apple does not like the unlocked iPhones) but they were selling like hotcakes after people were able to got them working on our Digicel or bMobile carriers.
Anyway, Microsoft has started to become very chummy with the Barbados Government and I feel the time could be right for some competition in this right. Microsoft has since announced the Caribbean as a whole is a very profitable region for them and Paul Allen has even brought his yacht the "Octopus" down here a few times.
The Barbados Government has a computers programme for school age children it is completely Microsoft geared currently but again I think there could be stand to be at least some Apple machines.
The Barbados government programme is called Edutech 2000.

The capital city Bridgetown would probably be the best spot on the island. Among schools colleges and universities include the Barbados campus of the University of the West Indies ( http://cavehill.uwi.edu/ ), the Barbados Community College ( http://www.bcc.edu.bb/) + The Samuel Jackson Prescod Polytechnic ( http://www.sjpp.edu.bb/ )

Why does apple allow apps in the App Store hijack your Internet when certain websites? Why doesn't apple remove their products from the App Store?.
Apple saw it as their responsibility since the redirection took me to the App Store. They assisted me in stopping the redirection which is occurring on many peoples iPhones. It's a have java script problem that adking is using to get you to buy their games. The websites work normal and then all of the sudden the website is taken over by adking.com. You can no longer use the website as it immediately takes you to the App Store without ever showing a popup to cancel the redirection. They were very helpful fixing the problem should others experiencing this specifically with adking.com.
No need to get defensive. I'm not the only one experiencing the problem Apple said. -
Hi,
Wondering if this is a bug - we have serveral different accepted domains, and our users within our org might have different primary SMTP domains - some @nwtraders.com and some @contoso.com - as examples.
We had a user today report an issue where they were trying to use the 'share calendar' button in Outlook 2010 and then typed in the SMTP address of someone in our org in the field of whom to share with, but that address had a different SMTP domain
than the user's (but still in our org). When she tried to send the sharing request she received a popup stating:
Calendar sharing is not available with the following entries because of permission settings on your network:
<intended smtp address>: Your organization's policy does not allow you to share with this recipient.
I thought it might be related to freeform typing in the address - if I hand type out the address with a valid SMTP address within the same SMTP domain, and press send it works.
If I use the address picker, and pick the intended sharing recipient (who's has an SMTP domain that is different that the senders), it works fine. It only seems to have an issue when you manually type out the address and it's not in the same SMTP domain
as you....
Could this 'problem' be masked with setting up Sharing policy between all of our authoritative domains?
ThanksLooks like Microsoft has an answer as to whether this is to be expected: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/983062/en-us In my research into this, the error you are receiving is a common thing people have run into and they are all using the solution MS lists
in their KB article. Hope that helps.

It is very difficult to navigate on facebook via safari. The IPAD does not allow other browsers to download and use it almost prevents the facebook app and the lack of scrolling the page.
I also have problems with Facebook on my iPad 2. I don't do a lot with Facebook and generally only post on my feed page. Sometimes hitting return on the keyboard enters the comment, sometimes not. Sometimes the comment will show on my iPad but if I revisit that page I find that the comment has disappeared. So I'd say that Facebook and my iPad are not totally compatible with each other.
I looked into Friendly and was about to purchase this free ap. But before I did I went to the Friendly web page for more info. There I found a page with users comments. One after another users complained about bugs with Friendly. The developers claimed a fix was coming but the user comments complained about the lack of response and support. One of the fixes suggested by the developers was to log out of Friendly then log back in. One user complained that doing this three times in ten minutes was not very helpful. Because of this I decided to avoid Friendly.
I did find a Facebook developed ap but it was for the iPhone. I presume that iPhone aps will work on the iPad but I'll wait until Facebook releases an iPad compatible ap. If there is an ap developed by Facebook for the iPad that I missed please let me know. -
Does Apple allow functionality between Logic Pro and Airport Express
That's it... Does Apple allow functionality between Logic Pro and Airport Express.
If not, Why not. It seems like such a logical Apple type solution. I looked and find it difficult to believe nobody has asked the question...There is your solution: http://www.rogueamoeba.com/airfoil/

My new iPad 3 constantly loses the wi fi signal. Does Apple have any plans to correct this issue or should I return it. I had no problem with my original I pad. Both are in the exact same location in my house. I'm finding this very annoying and disappointing and am being forced to us my 4 g data plan
You may already have tried this, but before you completely give up, I'd check your home router software and also reset the router. I haven't seen this particular issue arise on these forums with new iPad devices, so perhaps it has to do with outdated software or configuration on the router not playing well with the new device....

Does Apple Pay for Ideas That Makes Their Products Better
Hello
I have been a PC systems engineer for eons, and have in the past few years moved to the Apple realm, Love it.
I have had a few patents under my belt, that I have sold in the past, and also have gotten paid to help companies make their products better.
I have an SUPER! idea to make an Apple product much better, that I feel will be welcomed by 100% of it users. Yes, 100%.
Any idea where to start with Apple. I have a few kids that still eat and go to school, and I paid dearly for my education. I feel that I should get paid for this, if they were to use it.
Thanks all.I do understand your desire to obtain rewards for the work you do, but frankly, if your ideas pertain to the improvement of Apple's products through their system software or hardware, it's best for them to do it all anyway since for your ideas to work, they'll have to make implementations of them within their product development ecosystem. If Apple implement your ideas up-front, they have much more incentive to maintain the work afterwards, because it will become a part of their products.
However, if you have ideas that you can implement above the programming APIs of their system software, then I'd think it'd be better to implement your ideas yourself, and sell them as products at the App Store (or however way you wish to distribute and sell your ideas as products).
And you can control the use of your ideas much more wisely (by copyright, patent, implementation, whatever) as actual products that implement your ideas rather than just leaving vapour-trails of your thoughts.
Good luck in your endeavours! I can see that Apple do have ways for programmers to be successful (through the Developer Connection in particular), however, your first step into that world will have to involve registering as a developer and making a product for yourself which you can sell (Apple would gladly help you sell your products on the App Store) rather than as merely a contribution that influences or affects Apple's own product developments. Take a look at http://developer.apple.com/ to get started!

Why does it say "The configuration data for this product is corrupt. Contact your support personnel." when trying to install itunes64installer on my b4 bit windows 7 acer pc? Any help would be much appreciated...
(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):
http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
(5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time? -
