Does apple care come with a Mac when you order from education site?

On the nus extra website when I ordered my MacBook pro this morning it says it comes with extended warranty of 3 years.
Is this correct?
Thanks

What is a nus extra website? And normally the 3 year AppleCare is an extra cost add-on to the one year included warranty.

  • Does Apple sell the plastic film that comes with the iPhone when you first open it?

You know when you first buy an Apple product like the iPhone 4 or 4S it has those two pieces of protective film covering it? I want to buy those exact ones I like the way they look, I dont want any other suggestions, I want those same exact ones. Does anyone know where to get those or how I would be able to contact Apple to ask where I would be able to purchase those? Please let me know asap. Thank you very much.

Those are not screen protectors. Furthermore, they cover the speaker and camera so you wouldn't be able to take a picture very well or hear anything, as they are not designed to be used as screen protectors.

  • Why does apple sell phones with "INTERNATIONAL WARRANTY" when they cant service the phone in India, which has been bought outside India ? Whats the use of their registered service centers ?

i got my iphone 5 as a gift from my friend when he went on a business tour to Dubai. i have a got problem with the native camera app and i contacted the customer care more then 3-5 times and they finally gave me a solution to check with the service centers avialble in  my city. i went all the way there from my place and they said you cant service your phone over here since its has been bought outisde India ! then why do APPLE ship phones ? why do they have REGISTERED SERVICE CENTRES in India ? why do they sell apple products with the tag INTERNATIONAL WARRANTY ?

There is a problem insofar as you did not buy the phone.   Any warranty would therefore apply to the buyer.   What I would suggest is this ...
With the receipt in your hand, telephone the store where it was purchased.  Explain the situation and ask them how you should proceed.    You may find they'll only deal with your friend but if he/she is willing, it can still be pursued in your friend's name.
Once you have agreed a way of getting it serviced you will need to return the phone, and as I suggested, by a registered post system that requires proof of delivery.  Most postal services do this.
Pack the phone, preferably in its original box and surround it with extra packing. You do not want anyone to have grounds to say it was further damaged in transit.
Include a dated letter stating what the fault is and affix to that a copy of the receipt.
I hope you are successful.   Thank you for the star.

  • HT1338 does apple iphone come with ssl installed

    does ssl come with iphone

The warranty terms are contained in the box (or should be). Apple tracks the warranty by your serial number; the warranty begins on the date you activate the phone. So you shouldn't need a receipt to prove anything. You can verify your coverage here: https://selfsolve.apple.com/agreementWarrantyDynamic.do

  • We love apple email, but it does not play wall with other venders when you want to use your own domain (lags, disconnections, etc.)?   What vendor should we use to make it push and work well?  We want to stay with Apple Mail.

Help, our AppleMail does not play well with other Vendord to use our own domain.   iCloud mail works great, but so far others we have tried lag, disconnec, etc. not nearly as good as icloud mail.   Should we try exchange or office 365 plans with Apple Mail/  a lot more expensive?

Microsoft Exchange is the best business solution, Office 365 will give a hosted version that works well, as you noted it is not the cheapest. You should also look at Zimbra, an excellent service.

  • Will Vista CD come with my new XtremeGamer Fatal1ty - Ordered from Creati

Hi, I ordered a XtremeGamer Fatalty from the Creative website (http://us.creative.com/products/prod...9&product=5854) Will it come with the Vista CD The site only says XP.Oh and also, will that "game" port show up as an unknown device in Vista Please answer.
    Cheers.

Yes it will come with both a Windows XP and Vista installation CD. The connector on the back of the card is a I/O Console connector (for optional upgrade), its not a game port. You could later either use the Sound Blaster X-Fi I/O Dri've Upgrade Kit or Sound Blaster X-Fi I/O Console Upgrade Kit (Connected to the back connector of the soundcard) for this soundcard.

  • Does Stickies still come with new Macs?

I've tried using Notes since Mountain Lion came out, and while I like the fact Notes syncs with iCloud, I do not find it to be as useful as Stickies.
(I like sync because I can switch as seemlessly as possible between my iMac and MBA when ever I need to without missing anything.)
Notes should not have been talked about as a "replacement for Stickies"... it is a completely different app and nothing like Stickies.
Today I am giving up on Notes and going back to using Stickies... the benefit of sync to iCloud is not enough to make up for:
    - the ugly lines and extra border space taken up by Notes.
    - the absence of the "send to new sticky note" service.
    - the big ugly fonts
    - it's inability to maintain font color and formatting when I copy/paste info out of Xcode.
Probably more differences I dislike... but those are the big reasons why I cannot stand using the Notes app, despite several months of effort trying to like it.
(sure, Notes is a nice way to get certain info onto my iPhone... but it's not a useful desktop app outside of that.)
Why not just implement iCloud sync for Stickies... an app that was already awesome for its simplicity and only lacked sync?
And finally: Is Stickies gone on new installations of OS X?
    Thanks,
    Brian

    Thank you.
I went to the Apple store just to verify, and indeed it is still installed into the Utilities folder on new Macs.
They no longer put Stickies along the icon bar, it is replaced by Notes at that location but still available for people like me who want it.
Unrelated, but I held the iPhone 5 while at the store and the weight difference from the iPhone 4 had sounded minor to me, but turns out to make a *huge* difference when holding it, I was amazed at how light it was.

  • Does Apple TV work with wifi that requires you to enter a username and password via the web?

The wifi service is a public hot spot that is provided by my cable company (Comcast/Xfinity) for its customers.  It requires you to enter your user name and password via a website prior to using it.  Is there a way to make this work with Apple TV?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
There is no web browser on the Apple TV, you cannot directly use a wifi connection that requires a log in this way. you may wish to look at Internet sharing with a notebook.

  • Does my desktop come with wireless capability with no need for a separate router needed to be purchased, when airport is opened up belkin wireless is checked and other locations are listed but locked? Does my xfinity unit have one or just a modem? TIA

Does my desktop come with wireless capability with no need for a separate router needed to be purchased, when airport is opened up belkin wireless is checked and other locations are listed but locked? Does my xfinity unit have one or just a modem? TIA

Your iMac does have wireless capability. It does need, however, some wireless network in order to connect to the Internet. It sounds like there are several networks in your area, including one Belkin router that is not encrypted and several other networks that are. I presume that you would know if the Belkin one is yours, and you would have mentioned it. Do not use someone else's network without their permission. In some jurisdictions it is illegal, in others it is merely foolish.
It is impossible to know what Xfinity has given you. Possibly it is only a cable modem, or perhaps it has a router built in. Call them and ask them. If it has a router built in, get them to help you set it up. Note that some tech support people for Internet service providers will resist working with Macs. Be persistent, it is not that different.
If they did not provide a router, you will need to get one. Apple makes the AirPort Extreme base station, the AirPort Express base station and the Time Capsule. Other companies have their own. Be sure you get one that is up to date and has 802.11n capabilities (for the highest speed) and go on from there.
    Best of luck.

  • How do I download Adobe Flash Player on my MacBook Pro?  It says that I have to disable my antivirus software but I never installed one. Does it come with the Mac in the first place?

That message is just a standard one issued, mainly for Windows users, you can disregard it if you didn't install any anti-virus. (OS X has one installed by Apple that doesn't interfere)
It's just some forms of anti-malware are really paranoid and lock the entire machine down. (like Norton)

  • Does any apple laptop comes with microsoft word?

I have an windows 8 laptop and im so fed up with that piece of crap, does any apple laptop come with microsoft word?

No. That is totally wrong. If you buy the latest Macbook Air/Pro or iMac you will get free Pages. Pages is like Word, but even better.
If you get an older/ or if you own an older Mac, check out www.icloud.com, sign in with your APPLE ID, then click on the "Pages" app. This lets you write texts professionaly and is in my opinion way better than Word.

  • Would like to purchase PSE 12 to process Camera Raw files for the following cameras: Nikon D800, Nikon DF, Canon G9 and Pentax K-3 does the Raw Converter that comes with  PSE 12 when purchased recognize  the cameras listed in the question or do I need to

Would like to purchase PSE 12 to process Camera Raw files for the following cameras: Nikon D800, Nikon DF, Canon G9 and Pentax K-3 does the Raw Converter that comes with  PSE 12 when purchased recognize  the cameras listed in the question or do I need to download  the camera Raw Version 8.3 ?

While the G9 RAW files can be read by Adobe Camera RAW and Lightroom, these file are unsupported at this time. Here is a link to Adobe's latest list of cameras that are supported and this list came out yesterday http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/cameraraw.html
I have not done a comparison between Lightroom and Canon's software but others have and say that Canon's software is clearly better. I am sure when Adobe updates their software again to include the G9 it will be a very good RAW converter as it is will most other cameras.

  • I have a Macbook pro Retina display, I have a small nick in my screen that is annoying especially when watching videos. What is my best option for fixing it?/does apple care apply?

I have a Macbook pro Retina display, I have a small nick in my screen that is annoying especially when watching videos. What is my best option for fixing it?/does apple care apply?

Did you cause the nick? Or did it just appear one day? There are reports of the retina screen having exploding pixels which leaves a hole in the screen that can be felt when you rub your finger across it. If that is what happened then it should be covered under the warranty. If you caused the nick then it is not covered and the fix will be very expensive, somewhere in the $1000 range.
