Does Apple plan to add a delete key to iPad in the future?

There already is a back-delete key - if you mean forward delete key then nobody on here will know until if/when Apple announce something. If it's something that you'd like then you could try leaving feedback for Apple : http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipad.html

  • Does Apple plan to make an iPod Touch 5th Generation in the future?

I have not seen news that Apple plans to make a fifth generation iPod Touch. I am wondering if anyone has news that can help? I heard that Siri will not be included. Is it true? Will they have 3G or 4G like the iPad? Thanks a lot!

That's because Apple has not made any announcement about any such product.
It is against the rules of this forum to speculate about future products.

  • HT3986 Does anyone know how to enable the "Delete" key for logging on the Windows 7 partition on the latest iMac, via the latest Apple wireless keyboard? Many Thanks

    Hi All
Does anyone know how to enable the "Delete" key for logging on the Windows 7 partition on the latest iMac, via the latest Apple wireless keyboard - the standard wired apple keyboard works fine via this key but not the new wireless keyboard?
    Many Thanks

Holy crap, this fixes the issue.  At least temporarily it has.  I should add that my issue was single finger forward/back swipe stopped working on the magic mouse in Firefox since Mavericks came along.  I have been fighting this since I upgraded to Mavericks a few months ago.  Thank you, tbirdvet.  You have no idea how much easier you just made using my iMac again.

  • Does Apple plan to make iTunes / iPad, iPhone compatible with 24 bit FLAC files?

Does Apple plan to make iTunes / iPad, iPhone compatible with 24 bit FLAC files?

I wouldn't count on FLAC being supported. 24 bit Apple Lossless (ALAC) is our best bet. I have been patiently waiting for 24/96 or greater support on ipods and especially AppleTV... Desktop iTunes is compatible with hi res files, but not FLAC, you have to convert them to Apple Lossless with Max (or some other converter)... I have several FLAC files from HDTracks, and converted them fairly quickly and easily with Max, so I could add them into iTunes. They play fine on my computer (with an external DAC), and stream fine to AppleTV, but ATV downsamples to 16/44 according to my Receiver. I wish it wouldn't do that....

  • Does Apple plan on adding a print to PDF funcationlity to iOS?

    Hello,
I used Apps like Save2PDF for printing Webpages to PDF via airprint. But since iOS 5 it's impossible to print from safari via airprint to pdf.
I contacted the Save2PDF Support for getting an answer of my question "Why i can't print to pdf?"
This was the reply from Eurosmartz:
"Apple's latest release of iOS 5 has changed the way apps are able to interact with the device. This now means that the one of the printing features in this app for printing from other apps via the AirPrint method is no longer available. Apple's changes for iOS have removed this functionality for all apps - not just ours[...]"
Does Apple plan to fix this?

is there an another way to print webpages to pdf without internet connection?

Nothing.  The 2nd Gen Touch is OBSOLETE and is WAY past its support life.  If you want to run the newer apps you have to buy a newer iPod.

  • Does Apple recommend we add a protective screen

Does Apple recommend we add a screen protector to the face of our iPads?

I've had my original iPad for about a year and a half now.  I've always kept it in a case, but have never had a screen protector on it.  It doesn't have a single scratch after all this time.  But if I wasn't keeing it in a case, I might be tempted to put one on.
Those smart covers are pretty nice.  And more and more cases are coming out for the new iPad on places like Amazon.

Phil0124:  Sorry, I guess that I may not have communicated clearly initially.  The reason that I asked about the DVD reading capability in the first place is that I would like to be able to watch a movie "stand-alone" (like on an airplane) on my iPad without having an internet connection.  If VUDU is strickly a streaming service that wouldn't satisfy my needs after all.  After looking into the iTunes store offerings, I can see that I can either purchase a movie or rent one from them.  Either way, as I understand it, the content would then reside in a file in the iTunes folder in my computer (if rented, this would just be temporarily) and could be viewed on my computer and/or transferred to my iPad for viewing.  Considering the legal question, isn't there a copy being made and transferred into my possession.  So,what's up with that?
Yes Vudu streams. iTunes does not. If you buy or rent a movie on your computer through the iTunes store, then you are legally entitled to transfer that movie to your digital device as long as that device is under the Same Apple ID used to download it to the computer, and is authorized to view the content. Usually this is the case if your device is synced with iTunes on the computer  This is legal and covered by the terms of use of the iTunes store.
If your rent a movie on your computer you can also transfer it to your iPad but it will be removed from the computer as rentals can only exist in one place at a time. When the rental period expires the movie will be automatically removed from your computer or device, wherever it is when the rental period expires.
If you buy a movie on your iPad these can be transferred to your computer using the Transfer Purchases button on iTunes on your computer while the iPad is connected to it.   Rentals on iPads or other mobile device cannot be transferred and must be watched in the iPad or device that download them.
All of these methods through the iTunes store download the complete movie to the device or computer, so no internet connection is required for watching at a later date.
Rentals have a 30 day life as long as they haven't begun to be watched.  Once the movie has been started then it has a 48 hour expiry period. That is you must finish watching the rented movei within 48 hours of rental as after that it is removed from the device.  You can watch it as many times as you want in that period of time though.

Purchased movies are yours, and never expire. If you delete the movie from your device or computer it can be re-downloaded at no extra cost provided the Movie is still available in the store.

  • How do I add a delete website back in to the iWeb Program?

How do I add a delete website back in to the iWeb program?
I still have the files there are stored on the hard drive.

If you deleted the site in iWeb and saved, then your site is lost.
If you have not made a backup of the Domain.sites file before you deleted the site in iWeb, then you have nothing to fall back on.
There is unfortunately no way of importing an existing site into iWeb - it just doesn't work that way.
Your only option then is to cut and paste existing material from your published site back into iWeb.
