Just to add this : iWeb -- the app itself -- is still supported,updated only months ago and as part of the ilife '11 DVDs still widely spread even though it is not sold on the AppStore it is official part of iLife. It runs in Lion and there is zero issues with the app. So a training makes sense, doesn't it ?.
They would only to exclude the "publish to me.com" part to be up to date for courses and trainings :-≠

Samsung recently released 'S-Drive' - an app for their Samsung Galaxy program which only allows certain features to be used when driving. I much prefer my Apple iPhone, but as my children grow up, this is much safer. Thoughts?

Does java provide any support for MD5

I want to develop a program which in vc++ should produce a message digest using MD5 for a file and i want to check this file and hashcode generated for its equality . Does Java provide MD5 algo for it.
ie what i have to do
file + MD5 algo (Implemented in vc++) = Message Digest 1
Will Message Digest 1 == Message Digest Generated by Java MD5 algo + file

Here's a simple example of creating an MD5 in java:

Is apple providing any relief for TC that dies in less than 2 years?

Have a 3rd generation 1 TB Time Capsule that just died overnight. Have had it operating for just less than 2 years by about 20 days. Have been unable to contact anybody at Apple other than a computer to see if there is any recourse other than buying a new one at full price. From what little info that I have found, it is beginning to look like maybe two years is still the standard lifespan of this piece of equipment, just like the first ones that came out. Has anybody had any luck getting any help from Apple on this issue?

As you are probably already aware, Apple does not provide AppleCare for the AirPorts unless you purchased your Time Capsule along with a Mac desktop or laptop, and then, it is covered for the same warranty period.
However, you may find your local Apple Store sympathetic to your issue and may offer something in exchange.

Does apple provide professional Installation for new hardware?

I want to know if i can bring my Imac 21.5 mid 2014 for new hard drive installation to an apple store. Is there a service for that? I know they have a repair service, does it provide for that as well? I do have applecare coverage, I'm not sure if that counts for anything other than if my imac gets damaged.

Does Apple charge a fee for a diagnostic test or something

My Macbook Pro does not produce any Backlight, have tried Pram and SMC Reset both didnt seem to have much of an affect.
My Keyboard does no longer produce light too.
I would therefore like to bring my Macbook Pro to Apple for them to have a look at it but would to know whether they will charge me a fee.
Its a early 2011 model and I run out of warranty as well.

Apple has not made any announcement. Based on past history, I expect there to be no more update for the 4G iPod.
All the iOS devices compatible (iPhone 4 and later, iPad 2 and later, and 5G iPod touch) with iOS 7 have at least 512 MB of memory (RAM). The 4G iPod only has 256 MB

I am a Disabled American and due to a very limited income I have been unable to afford a computer since losing my ability to work. Is anyone aware of whether Apple participates in altruistic or philanthropic programs whereby someone like myself may be eligible for an Apple computer that I am otherwise unable to afford? I've always been an Apple and Mac user and supporter but at this phase of my life it's as though I can enthusiastically watch from the sidelines but I feel like I can't play in the game, so to speak. If a program exists which may provide refurbished or otherwise unused products to others like myself, there is a very real possibility that with access to a computer I could even rejoin my former colleagues in the workplace. This sounds looney, but it would be a joy to feel viable enough to begin paying taxes again! My country has faithfully looked after me; I'd like the opportunity to give back now.

Your best bet would be to work through local philanthropic or servic organizations. Groups like Rotary, I believe often do such things. Also, you might try asking around at support groups for your particular disability. If you are working with a hospital or government social worker, they may also know of programs.

I find the current font allowed in Safari difficutl to read. I have had to move to Chome for daily use. Are there any plans to restore the ability to choose one's fonts?

The simple answer is no.
If you're running 10.4 or earlier, you'll have to buy the retail installation DVD for 10.5 as it's a complete new OS not just an update. Likewise going to 10.6 from 10.5 or earlier.
If, on the other hand, you're already running 10.5 and simply want to update to the latest version (10.5.8) that can be done by downloading the combo update from the Support Downloads site.
