Does Apple still waive the restocking fee of iphone 4??

I bought my iPhone4 3 days ago and had to get an exchange because of a faulty on my iPhone. However, they gave me a refurbished one. I don't want to take this, so that I want to get a refund and buy a new one.
I remember Apple had waived the restocking fee, but I don't know they still keep that policy.
Does anyone know about it? If it sill applies, when are they going to change the policy?

An exchange under warranty is called a service unit and is provided in a plain box with the iPhone only regardless if new or refurbished and there should be no way to tell the difference. An exchange under warranty includes the iPhone only since all other package contents included with the retail sales box do not need to be exchanged.
I believe the restocking fee for the iPhone 4 continues to be waived due to the unwarranted hysteria over the antenna, but this is for someone returning the iPhone for payment credit and not purchasing another because they are unhappy with it and want a different make and model.

Does apple still cover the iPod touch 2 gen

What do you mean by cover?
Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for this price. They do not fix yours.
      Apple - iPod Repair price
However, the cost may not be worth it for a 2G iPod.
To more easily find compatible apps:
iOSSearch - search the iTunes store for compatible apps.
Apple Club - filter apps by iOS version.
Starting when iOS 7 was releases, Apple now allows downloading the last compatible version of some apps (iOS 4.2.1 and later only)
App Store: Downloading Older Versions of Apps on iOS - Apple Club
App Store: Install the latest compatible version of an app
You first have to download the non-compatible version on your computer. Then when you try to purchase the version on your iPod you will be offered a compatible version if one exists.

  • Does Apple still sell the Snowleopard upgrade for $29?

    Hello Folks,
Does Apple still sell the Snowleopard upgrade for $29?  If so, does anyone have a link.  I can't find it.
I only need it for my iMac.  My laptop came with Snowleopard.  I'm thinking up upgrading to Mt. Lion if it seems OK and also concerned about security since they are not doing security updates for Leopard any more.
    Thanks!

I think it may only be available from Apple Phone Sales now.

  • Does Apple still do the Color exam?

    Hi
I was wondering if Apple still offered the Color exam certification? I know they stopped the FCP one and moved to FCP X so i wasn't sure if they stopped all the programs that were linked to FCP exams or not?
    Thanks

That would be a shame for the (many) who continue to use the suite and need the resource.
For that matter, the FCS forum still has more posts than any of the other pro apps forums…  or iLife or iWork apps.

  • Does Apple still sell the old computer chargers?

I have a macbook pro mid-2009, the charger broke and I am desperately in need of a new one. In the meantime I'm sharing one with a relative. Does the apple store still sell the old computer chargers? The ones before they changed the plug size ( i.e everything before iPhone 5).

The iPhone has nothing to do with it. But yes, you can still buy these chargers:

  • Does Apple still sell the original iphone?

Does Apple or AT&T still sell the original iphone? I don't want the 3G. I want the previous one. I don't want to buy it on ebay. Please tell me if I can still get it from Apple.

    caveolin,
Apple stopped selling the original iPhone in May. However, AT&T was still selling refurbished by AT&T original iPhones for a while, you may want to check with AT&T Stores in your area to see if they still have them in stock.
    Hope this helps,
    Nathan C.

  • Does apple still make the iphone 4s in a 64 gb available for purchase

i was looking for a new phone on the site but the only 4s's are an 8gb, do they still make the 4s in a 64gb available from the site or retail store or do i have to go through a third party?

The 4S is two models out of date. So whatever is left is what you can buy. If you buy a used one make ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN it is not a stolen phone, because, with Activation Lock, a lost or stolen phone can never be used again unless the rightful owner releases it.

  • Does apple still make the iPhone 3GS?

Are they still making the iPhone  3GS? If I send in my iPhone 3GS because it won't charge are they gonna send me another iPhone 3GS?

The 3GS is still available for warranty replacement.

  • Does apple still sell the iSight?

I have a G5 tower and don't have a camera built into my monitor and was looking to buy the iSight. But I can't find it on the applr store website. Do they still sell them?
    Thanks for any help.

    Welcome to Apple Discussions, WishboneJG
Short answer: "No" (at least not in the USA)
My search of iSight discussions yielded this recent post that should "help":
     http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=5022721&#5022721
Because Discussions Searches are currently so slow, I quote the relevant part:
... Apple no longer sells the external iSight.
If you want a real external iSight, you will have to look for used or NOS (new, old-stock) iSight at computer or electronic stores.
You can also often find external iSights, including some advertised as new, at internet auction sites. However, even if the iSight you are buying is a NOS iSight, it may not be covered by Apple Warranty. If the seller is not providing you service guarantees or warranty, you may be interested in considering Apple's iSight Service: Frequently Asked Questions.
Moreover, if you "buy one 2nd hand", you may want ask whether the connectors, cables, and mounts that meet your needs are included.
Other than for software like iMovie, which requires that external cams provide Firewire DV signals, any of the new UVC cams will work when used with Mac OS X 10.4.10. This is true for any of the new UVC cams, whether Logitech or other brand. The critical thing is that the cam must support UVC.
For more info about UVC, see this post in the "Webcams other than iSight" thread.
If you are looking for specifically for Firewire alternatives to external iSight, take a look at Unibrain, iSweet, iBOT, or others that claim compatibility with Mac OS X and the apps you want to use with your webcam.
If you post back for more info, please include what Mac OS you are using, what apps you want to use with your webcam, and your country location.

  • Does apple still sell the regular iphone 4?

    Yes. 8GB only.

  • TS2948 Does apple still support the MacBook Air 2008 models?

Recentely, my MacBook Air's(2008) hinge has become very loose and have very little positions the hinge can stand on. So I took a look inside to see that the hinges is slightly out of place(and also from the outside you can clearlly see a small crack) and I thought about replacing it myself, but it seemed a little advance for me since i'm really not the type of dismanteler and i'm not really organized. So i was wondering, if i bring my MacBook Air into a apple store, would they still fix it or will they say they don't fix these, I just don't want to waste my time going to the apple store considering they're really far away from where I live at. Also, how much would you infer they would charge me? Thanks, Kyle

Do you have an update? I recently brought mine in for a battery bulging problem and they wont fix it because they no longer make the battery for it. They did however kept the battery for safety concern and left me with a battery-less MBA. I didn't realize the hinge was covered by Apple and tought it was a defect. The MBA is so old I didn't think to bring it in for that. Let me know if you have any success with yours. Thanks.

  • Does Apple still sell the iPad "3" in stores?

In particular the black 32gb wifi only iPad "3"? And if they do will they continue to sell them into next year? Thanks i advance.

    No, they do not.

  • Does apple still carry the ipad 2 32gb? I can't see it on their website.

    Please reply asap

No; they have only the 16GB model, unless they have other models available as refurbished units.

  • So, does apple still sell these?

When I took mine in because of the mass-problem (right corner/freezer did the trick) they said it would be $130 at first. When they saw it was free because the problem, the guy came out with a "new" refurbished one. So does apple still carry the refurbs? Like, can you buy them? This is my favorite iPod and I may want to get another one day. Thanks!

I think apple only carries supplies for warranty issues, replacement, etc. Otherwise, the 5th generation is no longer sold by apple.
You may however be able to get one elsewhere. ebay?
