Does apple store do trades?

so im wondering if the apple store does trades like if i bring in my ipod touch 1st gen 16gig or 3rd gen 32 gig into a store will they give me a new one or will i get like apple gift card or something??

Apple does not take trade-ins. In a few countries Apple does work with a company who will give you some return on an existing device; for the US, see:
http://www.apple.com/recycling/gift-card/
Similar programs are available in a few other countries, and some dealers may have their own trade-in programs. But you most probably can get more for your device if you sell it yourself.
Regards.

IF my mini iPad is broken, does apple store fix it under warranty?

If in some extremely unlikely event the screen cracked on it's own, and you could prove that it happened that way, it would be covered under the warranty. However, you would have to have a very compelling case and great evidence that the screen cracked due to a manufacturers defect.

how much does apple store charge for unlock iphone by online

Apple does NOT unlock iPhones. ONLY the carrier it is locked to can authorize unlocking it. Fees and requirements vary by carrier.
You can find a list of supported carriers here along with details as to which ones offer unlocking and links to their support websites.

  • HT4623 Does apple offer any "trade-in" for Ipad 1....are we stuck forever at OS 5.1?

Does Apple offer any trade-in value for those of us early-adopters who bought the first version of ipad???    Are we forever stuck at OS 5.1 as OS 6 is not supported on the original Ipad?

Your only option is to sell the iPad and buy a new one.

Does Apple Store ship to location outside the usa?

The USA Apple store only only ships to the USA. Some other countries have their own online stores which ship to their countries. Go to the store web page and click on the change country link at the bottom to see if your country is one of them.
    Best of luck.

  • How long does Apple store text messages?  I need old messages from July-Sept 2011

How long does apple store text messages.  I need old text messages from July - September 2011.  These messages were NOT deleted from phone.  I can only go back as far as July 1, 2012.  Please help, this is important!!!

    Thank you!!!
What I concluded is that the phone information (with text message content) that we have came from the police department...when they conducted interviews, they asked for their phones and obtained the content, pictures, etc. that way. We also have logs from AT&T with information starting a few months prior to the incident; this information, however, is solely limited to who sent, who received, when, type of data, etc - NO content. I'm assuming that those are the logs that can be subpoenaed after the alloted amount of time, say, 10 days.
    Does that sound correct?

  • I dropped my iphone 4s in water and everything works but the backlight. I have heard rumors that I can take my damaged iPhone into an apple store and trade it in for a new phone and pay the difference. Is this true?

Apple offers an out of warranty or not covered under the warranty "repair" price, which pays for an exchange at a discounted price off the full retail sales price.

Maybe just used to apples simplified products....
Really?!? As an Android phone user, I find that Apple does everything the hard way. Android is much simpler to use, in my opinion. You want to delte a photo or an app? Just delete it from your device. It won't keep popping by up every time you do a sync with iTunes........oh, wait. You don't have to do that on an Android device .
Good thing I like Android, because after today's announcement, when my now obsolete, no longer being made or sold iPad 3 bites the dust (obviously sooner than later since Apple is no longer making it for "some" reason......hint, hint) I will return to an Android device for my next tablet. I waivered back and forth numerous times before I decided to go with the iPad 3 over an Android tablet. My bad! Thanks, Apple. Lesson learned.

  • Does the Apple Store do Trade Ins?

I was wondering if the apple store would allow me to trade in my current 1.42ghz power pc for a mac mini with an Intel processor..

    Thomas Miller6...
"There are a lot of people, like myself, that buys PC parts to build systems. That is also not possible with Apple's computers."
Actually there is a few companies that still do that but on a very limited scale.
Most of those companies hardly bother with end users directly on repurchase but offer them mostly outright sales. (End users go through a process if they even choose that route. Users have to ship in the computer and wait for some value to be determined)
Those companies mostly feed off of lease companies or schools that can dump more of a volume of Mac computers to refurbish.
Its a numbers game with no way around other than a good self sell of your Mac.

  • Does Apple have a trade-in program for 2009 iMac (to purchase a brand new iMac or Mac Pro?

I have an Apple iMac11,1 with 16Gb memory, 2 Tb drive, Superdrive, QuadCore 2.8 I7 processor, ATIU Radeon HD 4850 Graphics board with 512 VRam.   I'm considering a new computer (either a new i7 iMac or the MacPro desktop) and was wondering if there is a used market within this community or if Apple has a trade-in program for older iMac's.    Does anyone know?

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
There's no a trade-in program, but if you recycle it, you will get an Apple Gift Card with the value of the iMac that you can use to buy a new Mac at an Apple Retail Store or the Apple Online Store > http://www.apple.com/recycling

  • I have an iPhone 4, but I want to get a 5. Can I go to the Apple Store and trade my 4 in and get a discount on a new or even refurbished 5?

I want to upgrade, but I don't want to upgrade through Rogers and have to start a new 3 year plan. Is there any kind of trading thing that Apple does where I can trade my 4 in and get a price deduction on an iPhone 5?
    Thanks

There are no trade ins at all.
Apple does not want your old iphone.
You can sell it to someone if you like.

  • I need to replace macbook 2009 disc does apple store do it?

I upgraded to Maverick and had lots of the same problems other people have had. However, I was able to fix most of them -- except my Samsung monitor doesn't seem to want to connect anymore, I see the spiral of death way too often, my computer is freezing, etc. SO I think the real issue may well be that my disc is failing. Has anyone had to replace their discs. Did the Apple store do it? There's a good place in Evanston that I can go to tomorrow for help. I have an appt at an Apple store today to learn about Maverick. But it would be really good if I had the right questions to ask. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

There are a few caveats.  While it is true that there are no viruses currently in the wild that will infect your Mac that you may encounter on a Windows machine simply by visiting certain websites.  That does not mean that you do not need to exercise reasonable care in terms of what you download and install.  If you download programs from torrent sites or other questionable websites and authorize their installation, those programs can contain things just as harmful as you would find on a PC.  I only bring this up becuase the impression is sometimes given that a Mac "can't" be infected by a virus or malware which can lead people to believe they can do whatever they want without fear of consequences.
Also... if you share files with Windows users, it is possible that you can receive an infected file (which can't infect your Mac) and pass it on to other Windows users.
Basically, if you don't download questionable material, your Mac will be fine.  If you share files with Windows users, you may want to install something to scan those just to make sure you don't pass anything on to anyone else.  The most common Mac antivirus program is ClamXav which is free:
