Does Apple think they're so perfect????

...that they don't even need to supply customers with a direct contact e-mail service, for queries and complaints? I am very frustrated with that, I've ran through the entire website and couldn't find a single address. I need an specific information about health issues regarding an Apple product, and I would like it to be replied properly by the company, not by the fanboys in the Discussion Board - with all due respect, guys. Besides, why will I use phone instead of e-mail to contact a company that has computer in its genes?
What's is happening? I remember I have already contacted Apple by e-mail in the previous years, why this is not allowed anymore?
Not listening to customers is BIG mistake.

Thanks roam, but the product is NOT the iphone. that's my point, why only iphone, itunes and me have e-mail support/feedback??? Apple makes hundreds of other products, we should have suitable feedback channels for EACH of them!
Apple has feedback forms, as Ali points out. Those are just for submitting your feedback, not for getting support. As the feedback forms state, you will not receive a reply.
Apple provides telephone support, not email support, as you have found. This has been the situation for years. You can call Apple for product support at the phone number appropriate for your location.
Why they don't provide email support isn't something anyone here can answer.
Be aware that while there are what you call "fanboys" on this site, there are a large number of very knowledgeable people who can answer your questions. There are many people here who are objective, not just Apple-supportive. Like any other public arena, you will get a variety of responses, but spending a little time to familiarize yourself with the forums will help in figuring out whose responses are trustworthy. That's true of any web forum. Also, your question sounds like one that can be backed up by sources; someone here can likely provide you with links and source material to back up what they tell you. So ask and see what you come up. Many people find these forums the most reliable for Mac questions because of the wealth of knowledge here, and that's why Apple provides these forums as one avenue of product support.

Probably not. Only a few Apple employees are on this forum. If you really want someone to see your comments/complaints, use this link: http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunesapp.html

  • Does apple know they offer two for one?

i was at the Apple store to buy some USB cables.  i decided to use the apple store app to complete my purchase.  i pay for the cables and tell the person i bought them using the apple store app.  she says take care and i go home.  a little while later i get an email from apple saying my order is being processed and should be delivered by the 15th.    i figured out what i did.  instead of selecting the Pick up in Store option in the app i left it at Ship to Me.  i called apple support and after two very confused CSR agents i finally got one that understood what was happening.  we got things settled but what i am asking is if this is a known bug with the apple store app?  can we really go into the store, buy something with the apple store app and tell the sales person we paid using the app and then have a second one for free?
    delivered?  for free?
    <Personal Information Edited by Host>

Agreed, but the app is not that smart. The process when followed by employees is, the pick ticket and receipt should have been generated by that employee
so again their mistake, not yours. Let's hope it does not happen often.

  • Do you think Apple forgot they make Apple Tvs??

So I'm wondering if Apple has totally forgotten about the apple tv. They haven't updated it in forever, despite putting out iTunes Lp and genius mixes which seem like they would be perfect for a tv room. I'm just wondering if anybody else feels like they bought a product that is no longer being supported?

the question is, does the appletv still do what it did when you originally bought it ?
has it "lost" any functionality ?
the answer to both those questions would be no.
Depending on where you are, a more important question might be, has it lost its relevance? I agree that it still does its intended job rather well (at least between restarts) as an oversized iPod for watching iTunes videos on a TV, but it isn't the only option for downloadable or on demand content, and it isn't necessarily the best option.
My ATV has been relegated to Internet radio and occasional podcast duties, as IPTV has pretty much eliminated my interest in buying or renting iTunes videos. Granted, IPTV's availability is rather limited at present, but I think this is where the future of online video is headed. The ATV's lack of versatility and its exclusive dependence on the iTunes store may be its undoing.
I am left wondering if Apple is selling enough ATVs to make it worth their while to develop a second generation model that can compete with other offerings, or if it is destined to follow the Apple Newton into oblivion.

I have taken it back to the Apple store genius bar, but they say they don't see anything wrong. Well unless you use it all day and experience the problems when they happen, you wont see anything wrong. But there are lots wrong with it. But this would be the same store as I purchased the phone. And they backed up my old Iphone 4, but were not able to get anything to load back onto my new phone. So, I lost pretty much everything. But over time, some of my contacts have started showing up, although i am still missing over 800 of them.

Apple is more likely to see your comments if you send feedback via:
    http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunesapp.html
    =Downgrading from iTunes 11 to iTunes 10.7=
You may be able to go back with Time Machine but this may involve restoring other items too (https://discussions.apple.com/message/20441404).  Alternatively:
Back up your computer first, in case the unexpected happens.
    Quit iTunes.
Get iTunes 10.7 from http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1576 or the direct download link at:  http://appldnld.apple.com/iTunes10/041-7195.20120912.d3uzQ/iTunes10.7.dmg
Do a few preparatory steps by making sure all iTunes components are not running and cleaning old files.   See https://discussions.apple.com/message/20475394.  Do steps 3 and 4.  Steps 6-8 may be also useful but I don't know if they are essential.  Some of the other steps are not necessary, duplicate steps listed later in my post or are perhaps even unhelpful in the process.
Replace the iTunes 11 application with iTunes 10.7.  Simply dragging the application to the trash may not work. Lion (OSX 10.7) and newer systems have iTunes integrated into the operating system and deleting is a bit more involved.  Two ways to do this are:
    1.  Use the shareware Pacifist utility (http://www.charlessoft.com/) to install iTunes 10.7 including all associated system files. Details at http://forums.macrumors.com/showpost.php?p=16400819&postcount=6
    2. Check this reference on how to delete the iTunes application itself:
Delete iTunes in Mac OS X 10.7 Lion - http://osxdaily.com/2011/09/13/delete-itunes-in-mac-os-x-10-7-lion/
After deleting the application there may be other files that need downgrading too. See the note about error -42408 at the end of this post. You may want to tuck these away somewhere safe until you have completed the installation of iTunes 10.7.  I have not tested this but ideally if newer versions are not found then the installer will put in the old versions. This may include these files in /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/ which apparently get updated by iTunes 11:
    AirTrafficHost.framework
    CoreFP.framework
    DeviceLink.framework
    iTunesAccess.framework
    MobileDevice.framework
After doing one of the two procedures above you will have to rescue the most recent old iTunes library from your iTunes > Previous Libraries folder. Rename it "iTunes Library.itl"  and replace the existing one in the iTunes folder. A newer version of iTunes irreversibly updates your library file so you have to replace it with the old one or you will get an error message. Note, this will revert your library to the version at the time of the upgrade and you will have to update any changes made since.  See:
https://discussions.apple.com/message/20401436 - turingtest2 11/2012 post on rebuilding empty/corrupt library from previous iTunes library file after upgrade/crash.

    Other issues:

    - If you encounter error -42408:

Alternatively, check https://discussions.apple.com/message/20441424 which requires you have a Time Machine backup (though possibly if you remove the newer version of these files old ones may be installed with the iTunes 10.7 installer - untested).  A  variant of this is at: https://discussions.apple.com/message/20448184

After updating to iOS 6 my iPod Touch 4th.Gen is virtually unusable ... does anyone know how to sue Apple since they gave no warning about iOS 6 being for iPad optimisation and a killer for iPods ?  Before I throw away my iPod Touch does anyone know if Apple intends to rectify their obnoxious disregard for iPod users by issuing another 'upgrade' which will allow iPods to work without the constant system crashes that iOS 6 has caused ?

Contact a lawyer if you want to sue.
    Otherwise try:
    - Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

  • Does Apple have a way to manage iTunes accounts on Corporate owned devices, meaning if someone leaves the company how does the company access the purchase apps as they are the owner of them.

Does Apple have a way to manage iTunes accounts on Corporate owned devices?  So, if someone leaves the Corp. how would the company have access to all purchased apps for any device.

If the apps were purchased using a corporate iTunes account, someone at the company should have the password. If they were purchased under a user's iTunes account, even though the device was owned by the company, the apps are tied to the user's Apple ID and do not belong to the company.

After consulting all the forums, I see that Apple is not answering this simple question: so disrespectful!
Please do something about it! All it takes is to write a little code: in the "Advanced Preferences (advanced????) give us an option that just asks you IF you want to create a replacement iTunes library before doing it! is this hard for you Mac guys????? To me, and to others, many, this arrogant attitude is just disrespect. Do you know the difference between making love and rape?

I would check out the refurbished section of the online Apple Store before buying a used one from Craislist. They go quickly so you have to check often. It will be more than sufficent for you to work with.
There are more than a few such books, go to a book store near you and browse them yourself to see which one works for you.
For items 3 and 4 wait until you are ready for a commercial app and then seek help from a lawyer and an accountant.

  • How do i make an official complaint about an app? They have stopped access to my account and are trying to extort money via paypal (skirting Apple) to allow me access again!! Who might i contact regarding this behavior? Does Apple have a code of ethics!

    Hello community!
How do i make an official complaint about an app? They have stopped access to my account and are trying to extort money via paypal (skirting Apple) to allow me access again!! Who might i contact regarding this behavior? Does Apple have a code of ethics required for apps?
Ive used this app for a couple years now, invested a significant amount of money developing my account over that time (close to a couple of grand id say). The Apps support wont discuss the situation, just demand the cash to reopen my account. There is no anual fee or anything.... Its extrordinary behavior to now be faced with this loss of investment.
I dont wish to go into more detail in the public domain but your help in directing me to the apropriate contact/department would be greatly apreciated. I'm located in Australia.
    Best regards,
    Mike

All I can suggest is to contact iTunes. You should not have been able to create a new account with the same email address
