Does ATV2 support 5.1? my subwoofer does not seem to kick in. The ATV2 connects throught hte receiver.

My ATV2 does not seem to support 5.1 surround sound and when streaming music from my computer the subwoofer does not kick in. Any solutions?

Yes the Apple TV supports 5.1 passthrough, however you won't get 5.1 from music, music has a stereo soundtrack only.

I've run diagnostics. Can't find device. I've tried resetting. The toggle has been turned on and off.

Cable works fine on my other iPod. Reset by pressing menu and center button together for 6-10 seconds. Left it to charge for many hours. Started acting up while running. Suddenly the music stopped playing but my Nike + was still working for the rest of my run. Took it straight it home and plugged it in to the wall to recharge since the battery was fairly low. Looked like it recharged ok but then screen went blank and now does it not show up on iTunes, does not seem to recharge by the wall charger (apple wall charger plugged into a surge protector in India). I have turned the hold switch off and on many times.
Sounds like a repair issue, which is not easy to do in India :(

The MacBook has no fax-modem. You will need an external (USB) modem.

If you can't enter the passcode then you have to place the iPod in recovery mode and then restore the iPod via iTunes. For ecovery mode see:
iPhone and iPod touch: Unable to update or restore
Note that this requires using the sleep/wake button. If you are not successful then there is nothing else that I know you can do.

The copy and paste keyboard commands in the app are controlled by Flash Player, sometimes there are issues with a browser/OS combination, make sure that Flash Player is up to date and if that doesn't help try another web browser.

You can only transfer purchases from iTunes on the iPad into iTunes on your computer. If you bought the music from another source, you need to use the source app to transfer the music, or you need a third party app to transfer the music.

I had the same problem and it was because of my firewall settings, which I had set to block all activity and forgot to reset it.

After installing Firefox 6 Vimeo does not seem to properly recognise the browser and the Adobe Flash Player.

I automatically upgraded to Firefox 6. Whenever I try to view a video on Vimeo I either am told that:
'The video cannot be played with my current setup' and to switch to a browser with native H.246 support or to install the Adobe Flash Player.
or
That no mobile version of the video exists.
I have the Flash player installed and have reinstalled it. I have also reinstalled Firefox 6.

From what I can tell, the problem is not Silverlight, it is the flash plugin (10.3). I uninstalled and went back to FLASH 10.1 and Netflix, flash videos, flash based applications, etc all worked again on my brand new computer. Very unfortunate and frustrating.

I have the newest pages, an iCould account, an internet connection and every other possible thing. I have been troubleshooting this problem and I cant seem to get it working. Is anyone else having these issues with the iCloud syncing?

Do you have:
Settings > iCloud > Documents & Data > Documents & Data > On
Is your network working for everything else? eg Mail & Safari?

I have a new ipad and I am trying to set it up thru my itunes account. I opened itunes and connected the ipad but itunes does not seem to be recognizing the ipad. Can someone please advise? Thank you.

I tried to register my ipad thru the Apple website but it won't let me register because I do not have the exact purchase date. This was a gift and I do not know the exact date. So frustrating because I am excited and anxious to use my new ipad!

Try making up a date. something relatively recent. See if that allows you to go forward

Curser does not seem to stay on the page

When I am typing, in various applications, the curser seems to fall off the page. I get a beep that indicates I have to click on the page or app in order to keep typing
