Does Audition CS6 Work in Windows 8?

I have a laptop running the 64-bit version of Windows 8 (factory install, not an upgrade from 7). So far the trial works fine but can I expect the same from the full version?

If the trial works OK then the full version should as well. They are identical except for the 30 day time limit.

Minimum requirements means that you have to have these as the minimum configuration to install the Adobe Products . You can surely go ahead and install the product on a windows 8 PC and it should work fine.

No it does not work with NT. the Ipod Tunes software supplied along with the ipod is only compatible with Windows XP. But is does work with Windows 2000

I've run into some intermittent image scaling problems under Windows Vista (minus Aero effects) that I never experienced with the same program, same image(s), running same Java version under XP. The images I'm using are all JPEGs, and the problem appears to affect approx 1 out of 3 grayscale images (no color ones so far) w/o respect to size (ie: small ones can be problems while larger ones will work). Java -version shows 1.6.0_02-b06. I was wondering if anyone else out there has seen this, or can point out what I may be doing wrong. Sample code to duplicate follows.

That does indeed appear to be a bug. I looks like it's having problems with the alpha value in the color model, so a possible workaround would be to change the color model the image uses before scaling. This may entail creating a new BufferedImage and drawing the old image into it.

Why does Thunderbird not work with Windows 8.1

I have used thunderbird now for about 6 years, for all my website accounts. During that time I have had very few problems, about 9 months ago I started using Windows 8, I transferred all my accounts from my old machines running on XP pro to new machines running Win 8 and thunderbird ran ok. I have auto updates running so I am assuming both thunderbird and windows are updating whenever! About 4 weeks ago I started experiencing major problems with Thunderbird, it would start then freeze, then it would start again then freeze, if I ran it in safe mode it would work for a while. Now it opens and freezes, the message at the top just says ' Thunderbird is not responding'. Even in safe mode now it will not work! I have tried uninstalling and re-installing, I have even tried installing an earlier version of Thunderbird, I Have deleted the profile and forced it to produce a new one, I have spent hours trawling different sites trying to find an answer, and you know what, the only conclusion I could come to was, nobody seems to care whether this problem is solved or not, so reluctantly I have had to give up and I moved all my accounts to Outlook, which works perfectly with Windows 8.1. I think that should have been the answer, right from the start of the problem!

But despite what the FAQ says, Thunderbird does _NOT_ work on Windows 8. This is a problem that many people are having and Mozilla _OUGHT_ to be able to fix it.
I hate to bitch because Thunderbird is free and it's a damned good program. But this damned good program that worked through three earlier iterations of MicroSoft operating systems is unusable on 8.1. Anybody who has any knowledge of user experience can tell you that a program becoming unresponsive at random for anywhere from 1 to 3 minutes is simply not acceptable.
This problem has been known for quite some time now. Is anybody in Mozilla support even looking at it?

Why does coverflow not work with windows 7

I installed windows 7 on my computer and now my iTunes does not show coverflow. I get a black screen that says "iTunes is unable to browse album covers on this computer."
I thought a patch would be issued to resolve this, but it's been quite a while and no changes. I use the most up-to-date copy of iTunes.

Does illustrator CS2 work on Windows 7?

I'm upgrading my 6 yr old Windows XP computer to a new HP with Windows7 and am hoping I can just install and run my current CS2 versions of illustrator and photoshop. Also does anyone know whether Macromedia Dreamweaver 8 will work on Windows 7? Thanks.

I woud say if you are upgrading anyway and you are comfortable with CS 2 then you have nothing to lose. If for some reason DW does not work then you can upgrade but if Illy works I would think DW would as well.
But you certainly have nothing to lose by trying before upgrading.
The upgrade is reasonable enough for one app.

Nevertheless, I believe that there are many people in this forum using LR4 with Windows Vista. Perhaps one of them will speak up.
