Does being left handed help with the reception issue?
I havent received my iPhone 4 yet, but I am Left handed, therefore every finger but the thumb is on the right side of the phone.
This might sound silly, but does it make a difference?

Papadimitropoulos, BINGO. Me too. I LOVE my iPad. I loved my original iPhone, my 3G and I LOVE the features of the iPhone 4. But the 'very real' antenna problem is only ameliorated by my bumper or case. NEITHER solve the issue. It's Apple's move now and they have a lot of FANBOYS (including me) hanging on their decision. I 'need' a phone that works when I hold it.

<Edited by Host>The Droid Phones look massive. The Blackberry phones just plain suck. Once they fix the reception problem with iPhone, I believe iPhone 4 owners will have a different, far advanced world, than the rest who don't have an iPhone 4.
I am very vocal about my disdain on the problems; but I am moreso against AT&T's network than anything else.
I did the network reset, the 3G connection on and off thing, and finally the sim refresh and it appears to be capturing 1400kps download consistently now. Try that.
But yes, wow, what a phone this is. I believe deep within us, amidst these glitches, we walk around proud to have this new iPhone. I truly believe that.
PS: Imagine how cool it is that we are the only phones that actually EASILY move EVERYTHING from one old iPhone to a new version through our personal laptops. We have a standard platform that is cool (iTunes). We have cousin products. We are in a different world, I believe -
Does adding more Ram help with the speed of Compressor
At my office, we are having to dump out a 300k qt 7 project that is an hour long. It takes currently 2 1/2 hours to render out. Can this process speed up a degree with more ram?
Currently we have 8 gigs.. and we can make out to 16 gigs.I don't think so. I believe Compressor is cpu/disk io dependent. I think you have enough memory. Depending on what you're encoding to, you may be able to speed things up if your machine has multiple cpu's.

Please help, I repaired an iphone 5c and have now tried two different lcd screens on it but all I get is a black screen or a black screen with a vertical blue line on the left hand side of the screen. I definitely have the cables connected properly etc and before I repaired it the phone had a cracked screen and there was a picture on it.
I have tried hard reset and nothing. I have tried connecting to iTunes but it asks me to confirm on the iPhone which I can't do as there is nothing on the display. I have tried randomly pressing all over the screen but it doesn't work. So I can't even try restoring it on iTunes.
Please help any advice will be appreciated! I successfully have repaired iphone 4's and iphone 5 before but this is the first iphone 5c.

When I was typing an email on my iPad, I hit some part of the screen (not sure which part !)which made the type in the paragraph I was writing turn blue, and a vertical line appeared down the left hand boundary of the paragraph ! How do I get rid of the blue type and blue vertical line ?
A single tap of the blue does nothing ! A double tap offers copy, define, select all.

As soon as I plug my iphone4 (running 4.3.3) into my pc, it appears in the left hand column and the little wheel starts turning. Then it stops after a few seconds and itunes freezes. I have tried everything. Can anyone help. Thanks

Yes, a very frusterating issue indeed. Someone else had mentioned a possible issue with real player, I tried getting rid of that and same issues. I even got completely rid of firefox for the moment. Guess what, problem still is persisting. I think this means it maybe something else altogether. I will go back to re-add firefox after I get this straightened out but now using Chrome for the moment.
What I've also found out is that the sound can be restarted when I unplug and replug in the 3.5mm speaker cable from the audio output jack on the back of the computer. Any ideas?

Lightroom.com and the iPad show the same 12 images but the flags I had set on them previously (which are still set on the iPAD and Lr.com) no longer show up on the Desktop. It seems the Mobile Sync process has somehow disconnected between Desktop and elsewhere and fallen apart....
Hi Guido, thanks for getting in touch. When I fire up Lightroom under W7 and check Preferences and Lightroom Mobile I see my Adobe ID with the "Sign Out" button next to it. If I check out the "More Account Info Online" I get taken to my account page. If I hit the "Adobe" option from the account screen and the "Lr" option from there I get to see the same 12 images that have appeared on my iPad, but there are actually 34 images in that collection, presumably the remainder being those 'pending assets' you mention. I am not presented with the sync check boxes I would expect to see in the left hand column of the Collections area.
So I've now signed out of Lr Mobile from W7 desktop, restarted Lr and the logged back in to Lr Mobile. Lr Desktop now seems to be picking up my iPad Camera Roll, which is something I hadn't asked it to do, although it seems to have stopped at 45 of 46. Over on "Lightroom.adobe.com" the number of images in the Camera Roll file is increasing but not caught up with the number on the PC yet. There are now two PAGB Collection files, one with the same 12 images, the other is empty. Over on the iPad I'm also seeing two PAGB Collection files as well, same content as on "Lightroom.adobe.com".

I'd take it into my local APple store and have them look at it. There may be something wrong inside your device.

My I Phone 5 is saying "no Sims" card in the upper left hand cornor of the phone, what does that mean? And I can't get connected to Wi-Fi, why not???
If the Wi-Fi diagnostics are okay then check your own Wi-Fi router to find out how many clients are connected. The number of clients may not matter but how much data Hogging is going on. If you have multiple computer Services accounts active Wi-Fi cannot handle that much. Examples would be two people playing World of Warcraft, Two people watching a Netflix movie or AppleTV movie, One person Downloading iTunes movies or music at the same time. That accounts for a lot of Wi-Fi usage.

Left hand section of the screen discoloration in lockscreen
My 8gb memory 13 inch display Macbook pro retina is relatively new (couple weeks old). Recently I noticed when I put it to sleep mode, and turn it back on to the lock screen, I see a section on the left hand corner of the screen which has vertical streaks (a lighter gray pigment color than the rest of the screen). I've done some testing on it, and the unusual thing is, it literally is only visible when on the lock screen, in which my background is visible. So I don't believe it is a hardware issue pertaining to the screen; possibly software issue?. But it does give me some concern, especially because my laptop is only a few weeks old, and the most I've done on it was some document work, emails, videos, etc. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

In older versions of firefox, I could open the bookmarks on the left hand side of the screen, and they would stay open when i clicked on one of them, and i could use it to open multiple tabs. How do i do that in Firefox 5? I do not like the bookmark toolbar.

The bookmarks toolbar no longer displays by default & they seem to be encouraging use of the bookmarks button or bookmarks menu. The bookmarks sidebar is still available if you know the shortcut as above. There is also the bookmarks library, now under show all bookmarks, rather than organise/organize bookmarks. ( Also it is possible with a simple chrome command in the location bar to open the library as a tab enter

I am using iphoto11 in OS lion but do not have the full screen icon at the bottom left hand corner of the screen. where is it?
Shift - command - f is the short cut to go to full screen - esc will return from Full screen to normal
as far as to where the commands are - I am (and everyone her is) a user just like yourself - we can (sometimes) help with how to use iPhoto - we can not explain why Apple makes decisions nor can we make or affect any changes
