The way I did it was I got the free app sync:stream from the App Store and then added my ipod to my ps3's Bluetooth devices. Then went to audio settings and set output and input to 'Skaggs iPod' you then open the app and it will be listed under music as a media service. You then go to all tracks and click copy (press triangle) it will then begin to copy all of your songs onto your ps3 via Bluetooth. I haven't tried but I assume the same can be done with photos. I hope this was helpful reply if you have any questions :) good luck

  • I updated my iPod touch 4th generation from the latest iOS 4 update (i think maybe iOS 4.3.5 or something like that) to iOS 5.1.1 and my Photos, Videos, contacts, music, App data, etc. was deleted. How can I all the data back?

I updated my iPod touch 4th generation from the latest iOS 4 update (i think maybe iOS 4.3.5 or something like that) to iOS 5.1.1. I updated to iOS 5.1.1 on a Windows XP Home Edition with the Service Pack 3 installed on the Windows XP (which I believe is the latest version). After updating, I unplugged my iPod from the computer. I saw that all my photos and videos were on my iPod, but there were no apps. A window popped up and told me to enter a passcode for my iPod. I entered a passcode. I then locked my iPod and entered what I thought to be the correct passcode, but my iPod remained unlocked. Desperate, I tried many passcodes with failure. After a while, my iPod became disabled for a long time. I decided to reset my iPod. After I reseted it, I chose to reset from my earlier back up. After reseting, my computer loaded on all my apps. But, when I started using my iPod, I realized all my photos, videos, music, app data (like game saves and high scores), etc. were gone! I have no idea what to do and I am very stressed about this! SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME GET ALL MY STUFF BACK!!!!!!

Go to iTunea>Preferences>Devices and see if there is a backupright at the time you did the update. Then try restoring from that backup. If the apps are in your iTunes library, any app data will be restored to the iPod.
When restoring from an iOS 4 (or later) backup, if the device had a passcode set, iTunes will ask if you want to set a passcode (and remind you that you had protected your device with a passcode). iTunes will not ask you to set a passcode when restoring from iOS 3.x and prior backups.
Therefore, remembe the passcode that you enter this time.
It appears that if you restore from a backup, that backup is not subseqyently overwritten by the next backup.

how much would it cost to bring my ipod touch 4th generation to the apple store and get the storage upgraded from 8gb to 16gb?

Apple doesn't do trade ins. You can get 10% off your next purchase for recycling your old iPod through Apple. You'd do better to erase your iPod and sell it on ebay, then use the money toward a new iPod. Hope this helps, good luck, Cheers.

hello my ipod touch 4th generation will not cut on or charge. i have tried the holding the home and lock button and still won'ty work. i don't know what to do. can you help me please

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • My ipod touch 4th generation says to connect to itunes. I did, and it says I have to restore my ipod for it to work. I have about 6,000 photos on there that I do not want to lose. What do I do?

My iPod touch 4th generation says on the screen to connect to iTunes. When i connected it to iTunes, it says i must restore my ipod for it to work. However, I have over 6,000 pictures that I've taken over the past two years that i do not want to lose. What do I do? I already tried resetting it by holding down the home/power button, that doesn't help.

Elitegate, the poster siad his iPod has the Connect To iTune screen, You can't backup the iPod when in that mode.

  • Dropped Ipod touch 4th generation in water, and I turned it on without knowing that it most likely never turn on again. I don't know what to do, please help me!

I dropped my ipod 4th generation in water, and I turned it on without knowing that it might never turn on again. I don't know what to do, pleae help me!!!

You could well be looking at a new iPod, but this will only cost you a couple of bucks, and a little time. Worth trying, but it maybe to late, (I just don't want to give you any false hope.) Turn your iPod off and leave it off, do not attempt to charge it or use until you dry your iPod out. Put it in a sealed bag of rice for at least 7 to 10 days. change the rice daily. If (and it's a "BIG" if) your lucky after drying the iPod it will start up when you turn on the power. You may need to charge it for at least 30 minutes to get some signs of life. If it does not turn on after charging attempt a reset, press and hold both the power and home buttons together for about 15 seconds until the Apple logo appears, then release both buttons. If your iPod turns on, check that all is working. If you get it to work the first thing you should be is back up everything on your iPod to your computer, no guarantee it will continue to work. Water does bad things to electronic toys. If it doesn't work your only out a couple of bucks, then it's time for new toys. You may want to look at replacing with a refurbished iPod, about 1/2 of new. Good luck.

  • TS3694 I have not been able to update my iPod Touch 4th generation to the newest software?

I have attempted to update it twice in the last two days. First I downloaded the newest version of iTunes, and then I clicked "Update". After about 2 hours an error pops up that says something along the lines of "Error 9006.  Networking or downloading error has appeared. Please check your network and try again later." I have no clue what that means. Because I have the older software I am now unable to download many of the apps I would like, so I would appreciate any help I can get! Thanks

  • Is there a compatibility issue with the iPod Touch 4th generation and the TomTom carkit that worked fine with my 1st generation iPod Touch?

I recently purchased a new iPod Touch. The "keyboard" of my first generation was beginning to play up, but it still worked fine with my TomTom carkit (if you'll allow for the fact that being restricted to OS 3 meant you couldn't update the software either). But, contrary to what I'd been told, the fourth generation one refuses to work. I think it's making contact because I hear the connection beep, but it  doesn't charge up or seem able to find the satellite connection. I've seen someone saying it was a physical width problem. If it's making contact, why isn't it capable to pick up a signal? Is there a compatibility issue after all?

Got you! Why this didn't come up in my search before, have no idea. So it's all a question of design... How mean not to inform manufacturers of accessories about the change in specs. About to try the folded-over business card solution and then Velcro if the former doesn't give satisfaction. Did actually buy a silicon case, but it makes the protective filter buckle as it gets under the edges which isn't exactly useful. Went back to my previous leather case which I have to remove to use the car kit...

  • Can I update Ipod Touch 4th generation  to the New Itunes?

    Hi,
I am trying to put the new Itunes on my Ipod but the more I read, the more I think I may not be able to
based on it running IOS 6 and unable to run IOS 7.  Basically my main complaint with the version
of Itunes on my Ipod presently is the user interface, for as many of you know it has a bit of an issue
sorting artists albums chronologically without putting in the year of the recording in manually.  The new
version of Itunes seems to do this automatically based on what I am seeing on my laptop and Iphone
which are both running it.  But unfortunately my Ipod is stuck with the old Itunes app.  Or is it?  There
is obviously no update waiting for me in Itunes so please don't tell me to do that.  Any help would be appreciated.
    Tom

    Hi Ana,
Thanks for the help.  I probably should have been a bit more detailed in my post.  I would like
the Itunes app that is on my Iphone 5s now to be also available to me on my Ipod 4th generation.
I only included the info on the new Itunes on my laptop as it seems to be the same as my Iphone
in that it now (not previous to this new version) sorts albums chronologically automatically.
It also displays the year of the album in the listings which is also new and appreciated.  Now
if I could just get this on my Ipod....
