Does Blackberry have Free Instant Voice Recording and Transcription?
what i really would like is a portable device that can both record conversations and instantly transcribe them into a format that can be quickly and easily edited (the instant transcription doesn't have to be accurate) .. if the transcription can be edited by deleting or inserting more transcribed audio and if the editor permits audio playback of the transcribed file cued from places in the transcription, that would be a plus.
it would be ideal if these features can exist in a phone with a small, physical keyboard, gps. a camera, wifi, mass data storage capability and expandable memory. i almost purchased the Torch 9810 sight unseen until i realized that what i really wanted was a voice recorder + transcriber (i already have other devices for gps, photos and internet so if these features come with, that's a bonus).
does anyone know of any device/app like this on the market (i'm a complete noob when it comes to smartphones)?

most suspect components in the USB stream (external to Macs)
is a rote way to mechanically test that idea; & not 100% sure.
Does the equipment all have a good ground to the utility or house
electrical field? An intermittent ground may affect more than sleep.
Hard to say at this point. Maybe a late-night talk radio guru on
remote viewing could peer into your situation and sleuth it out?
Sorry to have run out of ideas, but the process must be electrical
& mechanical to some extent. - Or perhaps odd software inspired.
Do you have any phone-home spyware items inside, just jumping
at the chance to spill your information? Little Snitch may help.
PS: Perhaps the computer needs to go into Apple & have a genius
or product specialist at AASP test the unit thoroughly... BlueTooth?

I want to create a voice recording and save it as an mp3. How can I do that on the MAC? Right now I can only think of recording the voice in iMovie, but it does not have a choice to save as an mp3.

Just downloaded the new ios 7, and I can't seem to get any apps to download in the app store. It doesn't have the meter bar anymore and all it does is have a blue circle spin and spin for over 5 min. without nothing happening! Help!!!
Hi,
This is how App Store app shows now when an app is downloading. If you cannot download anything, go to Settings > iTunes & App Store, remove your Apple ID, and set it again. That should work.

Cannot find anyplace to tell a page to wrap within browser margins, so one does not have to slide it back and forth to read each line::::::::::::
Yes, there are so many pages on-line that -- when made small enough to fit within the margins so one does no have to use a scroll bar on EVERY line, moving it back and forth, back and forth -- look like a FINE-print Bible page (!! tiny !!) if you keep reducing it to fit within the margins.
ALL because we cannot find a place to tell it to WRAP to FIT. Could have sworn I've seen some feature like that somewhere at one time, but if it is here, I cannot find it.

Usualy we take the strongest measures to avoid that and never let it come to that. You should of had back up's running on and off site. How bad is your problem?? I'm assuming you are talking abou a hard drive that is faulty. Have you tried restarting in Safe Mode??
You get experts that can retrieve data from a hard drive depending how bad the problem is. It usualy cost more than the Hard drive......but if you are desperate and value your data you'll do it.

I highly doubt it. Even when Skype offers "free hotspots" it's at the cost of the business paying the bill or a limited promotion/event like the Mobile World Congress. It is more likely you will get free or paid Wi-Fi from the places you are staying at on the island (airports, cafes, hotels, etc.). If Skype Wi-Fi is available, it will probably be through the company providing the hot spot service (like BT Openzone, Fon, M3 Connect, Row 44, Skyrove, Spectrum Interactive, Tomizone, Vex, etc.). That will end up costing you Skype credit for the time that you are on.

I have probably enabled voice over and have to double click icons etc to make them work as well as hearing voice commands. However I cannot swipe the General page upwards to access accessibility to turn it OFF. Anybody had this problem?

My iPad does not have the automatic software update and I do not know how to get IOS 6 onto it. When I go into settings there is no software update button.
If you are really on iOS 5 then look in Settings > General > Software update.
Otherwise:
If you are using iOS 4 (or earlier) there is no Software Update in Settings. That feature was first added in iOS 5.
To update you will have to connect your iPad to iTunes on a computer (preferably the one you sync with and backup to).

You probably know that mobilme goes away in June this year. There are two ways to access your mail account on iCloud, either through Lion or via the web. If you decide to go with Lion, the maximum memory you can install is 4GB, however the system will only use 3GB, which is enough to run Lion. So yesterday I found out that my email address password had been changed. I don't remember doing this, but it is possible I changed it a while back and considering I keep my email constantly logged in. But at the same time, two of my apps were trying to access their "store". I play a game called League of Legends, which has an online store, and it randomly came up with the message "Could not connect to Maestro" (credit card). Then, Itunes (which I rarely use) came up with "sorry, we could not continue with your purchase". I think it's very strange that all of this happened at the same time, but hopefully it's a case of a forgotten password and two games bugging/crashing. I scanned my entire computer with iantivirus and it hasn't found anything, but I've heard keyloggers can be a bit hard to detect. Does anybody have any experience with keyloggers and if so, what program did you use to detect and destroy it?
If you think that a keylogger has been installed the only safe thing you can do is erase your drive and reinstall.
I don't think that is the case however. -
WP8.1 MDM Restrictions - Voice record and safe search not working as expected

I'm having some issues with the new restrictions -
Voice recording
After setting Experience/AllowVoiceRecording to 0, voice recording no longer works as expected in the Nokia recorder app, however you can still voice record from other apps such as One note. Is this expected or should this restriction be applied at
OS level?
Safe search level
Setting Search/SafeSearchPermissions to 0 or 1 causes the UI in settings > search for the level to be greyed out and states that it is disabled - but it does not show the correct level set. It seems this restriction is not working or the values
I am using are incorrect.

I was checking the documentation and it seems vague. However, I have a few thoughts...
Are you running this as PolicyManager/My/<Area>/<policy name> or PolicyManager/Device/<Area>/<policy name>? In Windows Phone 8.1, the PolicyManager configuration service provider is new. "My" path handles the policy configuration
request coming from the server and "Device" is a read only path to reflect the plicy values that are enforced at the device.
I would check to insure that you've set it up in the correct area. To troubleshoot, you could also try setting it up in either the opposite area and/or both areas.

Olympus VN 2100 digital voice recorder and mac
Is there any way to get the voice recordings I have on my Olympus (VN 2100pc) digital voice recorder into my mac? I understand this recorder is not mac compatible but I have so many recordings that are important on this recorder before I realized it wasn't mac compatible. Any program that will allow me to convert files into mac, on my iBook?

JeffIt is my understanding that the VN 2100PC has a USB port & cable. The VN 2100 does not; Olympus uses 'pc' to distinguish the two.

Is your question how to convert the files from CELP, ADPCM (WAVE) to a quicktime format after you plug the recorder into your computer and copy the files?
Or are you having trouble connecting your recorder to your computer?
It has been my experience that, once connected, a USB profile should show up in Finder and, after a bit of digging, you should be able to find your recordings and copy them.
Please let me know the status; if Olympus 'PC' recorders are not compatible with OS X, it would be good to know (I'm looking at digital recorder presently). -

Wallpapers, as in the image you see behind "Slide to Unlock" can be any picture you've taken from your iPhone, any image you've synced to your iPhone, or any of the preset images.
No one knows for sure if audio recording will be a future feature, but you can request it in a future update/version here: http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html
While iPhone doesn't officially support MMS, there are plenty of ways to work around it. If you're sending a picture and don't know the email address for the person's phone you're trying to send it to, use this link (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SMS_gateway) to identify that person's carrier and then insert their 10-digit mobile number before the email address provided in the link

LMS 4 - Histo Graph it, ports not in "Available Instances"
