Does BrowserLab allow for previous Flash Player version testing?
I basically need to see how our pages, which include Flash widgets and must be accessible, shape up in Flash Player 7 and 8, and even sometimes in version 6. Is this possible? I thought browsercam.com could do this, but apprently not, I think I can install Flash Player from archives on a Flash-less, remotely accessed server... but failing that, I need a solution to test how old versions of Flash handle our stuff.

The short answer is no, this currently isn't possible using BrowserLab, and frankly unless we see a lot of requests for this it's not likely to be something we'd tackle in the near future.
There are a couple reasons why:
Flash content is generally about frame-based animations. BrowserLab takes static screenshots, so to properly show how your Flash content is working, we'd have to take either a number of shots of your page or take a video. Both of those would be pretty resource-intensive and expensive for us
BrowserLab currently supports 15 browser/OS combinations. To support even 2 older versions of Flash in combination with the browsers/OS would multiply our hardware needs by far too much

Does the last flash player version works correctly for Adobe portofolio file?
I have a problem with some Adobe Acrobat portofolio files, they were created some months ago with Acrobat X pro version but right now can not be opened.
The first message that appears is:
"To view the Flash technology content in this PDF file, please install this version of Flash Player that supports Adobe Reader and Acrobat"
When I select the option for more info appears:
Online content cannot be displayed.
I installed the most recently Flash player version but the problem is the same
Actual Flash player installed version: 11.7.700.202
OS: Windows XP 32 bits
Browser : Internet Explorer version 8.0.6001
Somebody have any idea?

I have just bought a MacBook Air and i cannot play videos from the internet as it asks for a flash player to be installed i try to download Adobe flash player and it will not allow me to do so?
Ziatron is correct that Flash does not work on an iPad, but it does work on a Mac. See Adobe Flash Player 11.2.202.160.

You can check here: http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/ to see which version you should install for your Mac and OS. Note that version 10,1,102,64 is the last version available to PPC Mac users*. The latest version, 10.2.152.25, 10.3.x beta, or later, is for Intel Macs only, as Adobe no longer support the PPC platform. Version 11.0.1.152 is for Lion.
* Unhelpfully, if you want the last version for PPC Macs, you need to go here: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/142/tn_14266.html and scroll down to 'Archived Versions/Older Archives'. You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):

and also that you follow the instructions closely, such as closing ALL applications first before installing. You must also carry out a permission repair after installing anything from Adobe.
(If you are running a PPC Mac with Flash Player 10.1.102.64 and are having problems with watching videos on FaceBook or other sites, contributor Texas Mac Man suggests the following solution which fools the site into thinking that you are running the latest version:)
Download this http://www.steelbin.com/FPforFBPPC.zip to your desktop, unzip it, and replace the current Flash Player plug-in which is in your main/Library/Internet Plug-Ins folder, (not the user Library). Save the old one just in case this one doesn't work. -

Your MacBook Air is an Intel-based system. To download the current version (11.2.202.228), go to http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ and download it from there.
If there is still a Flash issue, you can try the Google Chrome browser, which has the current Flash built into it, to see if it works any differently with the videos. It's available from https://www.google.com/chrome -

I haven't used my Adobe Captivate 4 for a bit, but when I try to start it up, I get the following message:
"The Flash Player for Microsoft Internet Explorer, is not installed or its an older version.
You will automatically be redirected to the Adobe website to download the latest Flash Player.
Please note that the Adobe Captivate cannot be used until the Flash Player is installed."
Even if I click the OK button and reinstall the Flash Player, I still get the same message, when I try to startup Captivate.
I have verified that I'm running Flash player 16,0,0,235, which is supposed to be the latest version.
I'm running Windows 7 and Internet Explorer 11.
Please help.The problem is that your version of Captivate 4 needs to be updated with a patch that Adobe used to supply. (I don't have a link anymore to it.)
Captivate 4 was unable to recognise Flash Player versions beyond a certain number. It gives you a misleading error message that makes it look like you have the wrong version of Flash Player. But the real problem is that Captivate needs to be patched to recognise the latest FP versions.
I'm hoping that someone from the Adobe Captivate team will chime in here and give us another link to download the patch. Otherwise, you really might be forced to upgrade to a newer version of Cp. However, if your current projects are being built in Cp4, your next issue will be that if you purchase Cp8 it will NOT be able to upgrade your Cp4 projects. You'd need to download a trial version of Cp5 or 5.5, and do a two-step upgrade. -

and, does FMP degrade gracefully with older FP versions? e.g., does it use StageVideo only if a user has the required flash player version?Oracle says that from 10g onwards, not need to have any other cluster software since it is providing CRS (cluster ready services) with 10g. However, having HACMP installed would be a good idea. I heard many problem, earliy release of 10g, aboug just using CRS instead of other clustered services.
Well, we are using SHARQ d240 storage, but, didn't required any raw partition, and also not using ASM. Basically, we are in a testing mode.

Looking for a way to tell if installed Flash Player version is ESR or not.
We push out latest versions of Flash Player to the enterprise using a patching management suite. Every time a flash patch goes out, it rolls over (and updates) our computers that have a need to run the Flash ESR branch. Is there a registry key or specific file in the file system that indicates that the Flash Player version installed is the ESR branch and not the latest branch?

The way to identify if the version installed is ESR or not is by the major version number, which is '13' at this, whereas the current version is '14'.
The Flash Player files themselves have the version number in the file name. The files are located in \Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash and \Windows\SysWow64\Macromed\Flash (if you have 64-bit OS). On Mac, the version number is in the Flash Player.Plugin Info.plist file.
For registry entries, Flash Player creates the following entries with version number:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Macromedia\FlashPlayerActiveX > Version
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Macromedia\FlashPlayerPlugin > Version
If on 64-bit OS, additional entries are created in the Wow64Node for the 32-bit player version (since both 32- and 64-bit versions of Flash Player are installed on 64-bit OS).

I'm in an organization where users cannot install their own
software, so cannot update Flash player, currently everyone has
9.0.16. Even if I select 9.0.16 as the required Flash player
version, my apps do not work, the base application will load, but
no components are displayed. Unless this is a bug in the build I
have, I'll need to have a new version of the Flash player pushed
out to 10k+ computers in order to use the Flex 3 compiler. Is the
current version, 9.0.115, expected to be the highest version needed
