Does client copy erase all the data in the target client or?

hi
experts
does clientcopy erase all the data in the target client or except user master records.
regards
rajendra.

It depends upon the profile you use for the client copy.
if you use SAP_ALL
All data is deleted from target client and source client data is copied.
and therefore you shall see the profiles and understand them .
SAP_ALL    All Client-Specific Data w/o Change Documents
SAP_APPL   Customizing and Application Data w/o Change Docs
SAP_APPX   SAP_APPL w/o Authorization Profiles and Roles
SAP_CUST   Customizing
SAP_CUSV   Customizing and User Variants
SAP_CUSX   Customizing w/o Authorization Profiles and Roles
SAP_PROF   Only Authorization Profiles and Roles
SAP_UCSV   Customizing, User Master Records and User Variants
SAP_UCUS   Customizing and User Master Records
SAP_UONL   User Without Authorization Profiles and Roles
SAP_USER   User Master Records and Authorization Profiles
Hope it helps.
Thanks
Amit

  • Will buying mountain lion erase all my data?

I am quite interested in updating to Mountain Lion, as I have a very outdated Mac. However, I am worried that doing so will erase all my data. Also, will updating make my mac run faster? It has been working much slower recently. Its only three years old, 10.6.8. Please help!

    In addition to BT's comments:
The OS X update process will stomp on your /Applications, but not on the content in /Users, which is where your login directory resides. Good backup habits are sound advice.
Even if your three-year old Mac complies with the minimum supported hardware specs, it is very unlikely that a larger, more resource hungry Mountain Lion will give you more features and run faster on your hardware.
If you wish to stay current with OS X releases, at some point, you will need to step up to a new or refurbished hardware purchase decision.

  • I just decommissioned my windows pc for a mac power book.  How can I get my ipad to sync with the new computer without erasing all the apps and data on the ipad?

I just decomissioned my windows pc in favor of a new (to me) MacBook Pro.  When I attempt to sync my iPad I get a warning that I will erase all content on the ipad in order to sync with the new computer.  How do avoid erasing all the data on the iPad, and get the iPad and the new Mac/iTunes to be friends?

Best option is to use Windows Migration Assistant as Ralph noted.
Here's a better (updated) link to Windows Migration Assistant for Lion -> http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4796
Or if you only want iTunes (Migration Assistant let's you choose) copy the entire /Music/iTunes/ folder from your PC to /Music/ on the Mac.
FYI: A MacBook is not a PowerBook. PowerBooks were discontinued in 2005.

  • HT1212 will doing this erase all my data?

will doing this restore process erase all my data? notes and photos? which is most important to me.

If you restore from backup via iTunes, only the content that was added to the device since the  backup was created will be lost.  (e.g. new pictures/videos taken with the device).
If you restore as new, all content on the device will be wiped.

  • How do I transfer all the information in my iTunes on my old mac book to my new mac book pro so I can sync my devices to the new machine with erasing all the data my iPhone and iPad?

I have just bought a new mac book pro and want to use this machine as the main computer to which I will sync my iPhone and iPad.
How do I transfer the information within iTunes on my old mac book so when I connect the devices the new machine will not erase all my data?
    Thank you

Copy the entire iTunes folder within the music folder on your old Mac to the music folder on your new Mac.
You can use an external hard disc for the transfer, or you can connect the computers together using Firewire Target Disc Mode as explained here:  http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1661

  • SharePoint 2013 - Document Set Capture Version History. Does each version captured for each document set keep a copy of all the document stored in the document set?

    Hi All,
We have currently encountered an issue where even though version control is turned on in a document library, changes made to the metadata of a document set is not tracked in a version history.
We have found that in order to this a user will need to manually click on the capture version history button.
With this in mind, we are concerned about the impact of this on our storage. The question we have been trying to answer is whether each document set version:
stores the change in metadata of the document set and a copy of all the documents stored in the document set
stores the change in metadata of the document set and a reference to the documents stored in the document set (making use of SharePoint 2013's shredded storage)
The reason we ask this is that if a document set version stores a copy of all the document stored in a document set, a change in one of the fields in the document set could result in the storage used to grow exponentially. e.g. if the document set contains
documents totaling 30MB, and if we have 10 versions of the document set, we could take up 300 MB in the content database for just one document set.
We have tried to some searching around Google but wasn't able to find any answers around this question. Would appreciate some assistance from anyone who has knowledge around how document set version history works.
    Thanks in advance.
    John

i had a long thing written out, but submit failed.  suffice to say it does "2".  it only stores the changes with pointers to the documents.

My iphone4 is taking more than 5 hours to erase all the data still it is under process , still how much more time i have to wait for my mobile to ON ?

  • HT1766 Where is my old backup stored? Because of auto backup, I can't see any of my older ones and with new ios erased all my data and it kept backing up the "new" setting

I plugged in my iphone and then itunes says my iOS was old and need update. Hence I update it to 7 where it erased all my data to start with, and it was actually backed up before it was erased.
After the new iOS was installed, it just couldn't restore the old data and instead it kept auto back up the new setting.  I called apple help line and the guy said whatever is on the itunes list is all there is. But because of the auto backup, the whole list is full of new backups without my old stuff. Is there anyone who can tell me whether these files are overridden or instead just not showing on itunes, and where can I find it?
    Thanks lots

When you restore a device, a new backup is created and the old backup has a date added to the backup name.
Look in iTunes prefs > Devices.
The current backup will not have a date in the name. It will show the date on right side.

  • How do I erase all the data on an old imac?

How do I erase all the data on an old imac, so I can safely sell/give it away without any personal information on it?
    Joel

Boot with your original install discs, launch Disk Utility from the Utilities menu, select the HD, erase, reformat, and zero out the data. Once that's finished, reinstall the OS and on first boot quit the installer and shutdown the machine. Give the original discs to the new owner and when they start it up, they'll experience the first time Setup Assistant. Since it's not a new machine, there should be nothing associated with Lion or ML to muck things up.

  • I have a new mac book, I have loaded all my old data on it via time machine. I want to now erase all that data so it is back to a new data free computer. it has yosemite, how do I remove all the data???

I want to erase all the data I loaded onto my new macbook pro yosemite. I want to have it cleaned of all the data photos etc I have loaded so it is like a new computer again. I already have all this data on a hard drive so I don't need to back the data up.???

Install or Reinstall OS X from Scratch
Be sure you backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive because the following procedure will remove everything from the hard drive.
    Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
    Erase the hard drive:
      1. Select Disk Utility from the main menu and click on the Continue button.
      2. After DU loads select your startup volume (usually Macintosh HD) from the
left side list. Click on the Erase tab in the DU main window.
      3. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Optionally, click on
the Security button and set the Zero Data option to one-pass. Click on
the Erase button and wait until the process has completed.
      4. Quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall OS X: Select Reinstall OS X and click on the Install button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible
because it is three times faster than wireless.

  • I have a G5 with Tiger to sell and want to erase all my data from it, but the cd drive won't work so I can't use the OS10 start up disk. Answers?

I have a G5 to sell and want to erase all my data from it, but the cd drive won't work so I can't use the OS10 start up disk. Any way to do it?

Do you have another Mac? If so, you can startup this one in "Target Disk Mode" (instructions here) and connect it to another Mac to delete the home folders (or the entire drive, if that's what you want).
One piece of advise, though: after deleting the data, and of course emptying the Trash, it wouldn't hurt to also securely erase the "free space" of the drive (instructions here) before disconnecting the old Mac from the new one. This can be helpful, since "deleted" data is often retrievable with ease unles it's written over after the deletion.

If the iPad was running iOS 7, the thief/finder will not ever be able to use it.

My friend borrowed my iPhone. I want to sell the iPhone, but first I have to erase all the data that belong too my friend. I don't know his password and he doesn't know either. Is it possible to erase the data without using a password?
    thanks!

You need the password if it is iCloud locked you won't be able to activate the phone for use.
As long as he remembers his email,  you can reset the password
If you forgot your Apple ID password
    or Forgot Apple ID
    https://iforgot.apple.com/appleid
If it is a lock screen password, you can do a restore.
Hold down power and home for 10 seconds and release power but keep holding down home. iTunes will say your phone is in recovery mode so you can restore it.
