Does contact list show company´s name??

I use my iPhone for my business contacts. When I add a new contact, I regulary enter first name, last name and the company´s name. The problem is that I have many contacts with the same first and last name *that works in diferents companys*. Since I can´t visualize the company´s name when I tap a letter, it comes up with, 3 or 4 contacts with the same name. So I have to open one by one until I find the one I´m looking for. The question is: is there any way I can configure my iPhone to see name in one line and the company´s name in the botton line in the contact list?

I know it's obvious, but a workaround would be to add the company name/initials to the last name where such clashes occur.
E.g. First: Joe - Last: Smith (BT) - Company: British Telecom

The Account Owner can see the call/text logs for all lines on the account, but each line needs its own My Verizon account for messaging and backups. Those lines will be listed as Account Members and will have limited info. available to them regarding the account.

How to add company name to show up in contact list with person's name on Droid

I just switched from the Blackberry Storm to the Motorola Droid. Is there a way to have the company name show up in the contact list under the person's name. I need that for work. It syncs up with a program called Act by Sage and my storm used to show both.

You can edit your contacts, and list the company name under the organization section. However, it will not show up when they call you. You will only be able to see it in your contact list. Hope this helps!

"Recent contacts" list showing old contacts

I see a lot of questions about removing contacts from the new "recent contacts" list, and a lot of solutions saying to hide the list altogether. however, there is only one contact I want to remove from the list because they are not recent. I found one solution stating that you remove them, search for their phone number in messages, click the i and then click "remove from recent contacts" but this does not work because all messages, email, phone calls, and facetime from this contact was so old that it has already been purged (thus I don't get the i when I enter the phone number). This is a business contact, so I need to keep her number, but there are a lot more recent contacts from the past 3 months that I would rather have on my recent contacts list because they are recent. Is it a software glitch that she is still showing up on my recent contacts list? Is there any way to remove this contact specifically without hiding the list altogether?

It is standard that the personal list is not updated.
it is personal, you have to update it yourself.

Z10 Call Display from Contact - Not Showing Company Info

From the previous versions of Blackberry's OS, whenever I would receive a phone call from a contact in my phone, the name of the Contact and their Company (as I entered it) would show up on the screen. Now, it only shows the name and then has the number below. I meet a lot of people and the Company reference helped me understand who was calling and for what. Is there a way to have it so when someone calls, the name, company and phone number as in BB7.

This feature is an absolute must. Driving me crazy not seeking the company name of callers. I have 17 Tony's and now have no idea who is calling. This needs a fix ASAP!

Email contact list is 1/2 gone. I import and it's there again, then it's gone again. Contact list shows up in Explorer, but not Firefox. How to fix?

My contact list is half gone, the last half of the alphabet (all letters after "J"). I "import" my contacts from the same email account and magically they are all there again. However, when I click on Inbox and then go back to the Contact list, they are half gone again. When I open Internet Explorer, all of the contacts are there.
I'm In Firefox 22.0 and use Windows 7.
How do I get my contacts to stay put??

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache.
Note: ''This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to.''
To clear cache and cookies do the following:
#Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
#Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
#Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
#From the details list, check ''Cache'' and ''Cookies'' and uncheck everything else.
#Now click the ''Clear now'' button.

Why is my contact list showing Facebook profiles of people whose number I don't have in my contacts? Isn't the "contact list" supposed to only identify and match facebook profiles with contact phone numbers within my iphone?

When I went into the Facebook app on my iPhone 4S, I tried finding friends through my contact list. I thought only contacts with cellphone numbers matching a Facebook profile would appear to add as a friend. What's being populated are friends of my friends. Why is this happening? A friend of a friend isn't my contact. Shouldn't a true contact have a phone number in my contact list when attempting to match contact to Facebook profile or did things change with iOS 7.0.3??

Many mail clients reject images, JavaScript and embedded CSS styles. For best results use plain text near the top to communicate your message and give a link to the actual web page on your server.
For mail clients that do have limited support for HTML, use uncomplicated tables and inline CSS rules (inside the body tag).
All that meta data description is a red flag to spam filters. You shouldn't be using meta description or keywords in e-mails.

Any Web Apps for Contact List (by company)

*Does anyone know of any Web Apps that let you access contacts by company name?* Hopefully, they will sync with either Outlook or the iPhone database, at least initially.
I have been looking for Web Apps that backup and display contacts on teh web that can be accessed by the iphone. I have played with funambol with limited success so far, but haven't successfully used Etelos yet.
Since one card doesn't contain much data to send, online is an excellent potential medium for such an internet enabled phone as the iPhone.
Any suggestions would be welcome.

N73 Contact list showing Arabic contacts in jibber...

Hi,
hen I use PC Suit to view my phone contacts on the computer, it displays the arabic language contacts in jibberish format like this "ÃãíãÉ ÈíÊ".
I've checked my language and regional settings and they're ok.
Please help.

Just to check we got this right:
arabic contacts are OK in phone ? (I assume yes)
arabic contacts are garbled in PC after you update them to PC Suite in your PC ?
Do you use the Arabic version of PC Suite ? latest version is 6.81.13.

What do you mean by "full numbers" ?
And compared to what ?
It sounds like that possibly your Contacts apps on iPhone and Mac are not syncing.
Make sure this is On in both places.

Removing name from contact list

There is a group to which I send a general e mail a few times a month. I have these contacts listed under a group name, so when I type in the group name under "To" all the names appear. There is one person who no longer wants to receive the group notices, and I have completely removed her name and contact information from my address book, but when I type the group name in my "To" box her name still appears. She has a "hotmail" account, as do several other members of my group. Is there anything else I can do, short of trying to remember to delete her name every time I send an e mail to this group?

When you get hold of one of those first line reps on the phone, it depends very much on just who happened to answer the call. Some of them are very good. Others not so much. The only reason I found out about the memory for the To: line is that another poster had asked about it and I contacted Plaxo about it. There was an exchange of emails and they explained how the thing works.
Do you see "Forget" to the right of the first 3 o 4 names when that list comes up? I had no idea what that was for. It is the automated sorting software that the mail program uses to determine what addresses you use most often when typing in a given letter/word combination into the To: field. It then ranks them in that order. If you want it to change you click on Forget and it should remove it from the spot in the list. At least that's what was explained to me. But when I first asked them about it they tried to tell me it was something to do with my browser, which it is not. So I sent them a screen shot of it and then they said "oh wait----yeah------that thingy", and then gave me the correct information.
They don't all know all the features of the mail program or address book.

Composing SMS from Contact List

I have a Blackberry Pearl 8100 and when I go into my contact list and select a name to SMS and then add another recepient to send the same message to it comes up with first person I selected to SMS again i.e. I picked Wendy first and added Brian to send the same message to, yet it shows Wendy's name twice. Yet, when I go to check the two mobile ph#'s that I'm sendin the SMS to, they are different as I expect. Also, if I save the SMS as a draft, and I open it up again in my email inbox it displays Wendy & Brian's name correctly. Furthermore, if I compose a SMS from my email inbox I don't get the problem I've mentioned above. Is there a way to solve this?

Shared Photostream comments show old AppleID Name, even after changing it

My mother in law joined my shared photo stream. I invited her using her email address. When she joined, it showed my father-in-law's name instead of hers. When she posted comments, it showed up as my father-in-law's name instead of hers. After looking on these forums I found that the name that shows up when you accept a Shared Photo Stream is the name associated with your apple id.
She then went to look up her AppleID information and sure enough, it had her husband's name. She updated her Apple ID name to now be her name. I removed her from the shared photo stream and re-invited her. When she accepted, it now properly showed her name.
However, when she posts comments or likes my photos, it still uses my father-in-law's name and not the current name associated with the apple id (her name). It seems like my Shared Photo Stream cached her original name and is stuck using it for comments and likes.
I then tested creating a brand new Shared Photo Stream and I invited her. Upon accepting, it showed her current apple id name. Upon commenting it also shows her current Apple ID name. So the issue definitely appears to only affect any Shared Photo Streams that she subscribed to prior to the Apple ID name change. However, I already have a ton of photos in my original Shared Photo Stream so I don't want to simply delete and create a new one (although that would fix her problem).
Is there any way to "reset" the name that will be used in the existing shared photo stream's comments and "likes" to match the current apple id name (after it has been updated)? The "invitation" list shows the correct name but the comments and likes (even new ones) still show the old apple id name (before she updated it).
Should I recommend that she contacts support? Any other ideas?

No. A few things have happened though that improve the situation. My mother in law got a new iPad and her name shows up correctly if she comments from that device. Unfortunately I never heard back from anyone else after this post with any solution.

E72 contacts list display

Hi, I have just got an E72. On my old nokias it was possible to view the contact list with both the name and number of each contact when looking at the contact list i.e. When sending a SMS. Is it possible on the E72 to display the number too? At the moment all I can see is the name.
I have had a quick look around the menus and couldn't find it anywhere.

with nokia E72, there is no way to display both contact name and number. this feature is available for most s40 phones but e72 is an s60 phone. however, if you want to view the number for a particular name, you just have to go to the name, press your navi key and its going to show you the number and other details right away. by the way, navi key will be your center square button. just press that once and you'll see the number.
