Minimum requirements means that you have to have these as the minimum configuration to install the Adobe Products . You can surely go ahead and install the product on a windows 8 PC and it should work fine.

The main issues:
Lightroom 4 (now available in the Creative Cloud) will not run on Windows XP

Premiere Pro CS6 and After Effects CS6 will only run on 64 bit operating systems
Photoshop CS6 Extended: 3D features and some GPU-enabled features are not supported on Windows XP.
If you're running Windows XP 32 bit, you'll only see 14 software apps available for download since Lightroom, Premiere Pro and After Effects are not supported on that operating system.

This will work for online storage.
The preview you will see on the website but will be what you see on your desktop if the the folder was missing. If you want someone else to be able to see a preview online to give comment feedback you could export out a PDF file of the work-in-progress and upload it.
If you just want to work on the project at different locations it might be easier to zip up everything into a single file and upload it. Then download it onto the computer where you want to work and unzip it.

We cannot know. What tablet is it actually? Many tablets use Atom processors, which don't support the necessary features for CS products and thus are not compatible...

Since then, Adobe has un-helpfully removed that from its website, and now the website says you need Windows 7. see: http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop-lightroom/tech-specs.html
Nevertheless, I believe that there are many people in this forum using LR4 with Windows Vista. Perhaps one of them will speak up.

Image.getScaledInstance() does not always work under Windows Vista

I've run into some intermittent image scaling problems under Windows Vista (minus Aero effects) that I never experienced with the same program, same image(s), running same Java version under XP. The images I'm using are all JPEGs, and the problem appears to affect approx 1 out of 3 grayscale images (no color ones so far) w/o respect to size (ie: small ones can be problems while larger ones will work). Java -version shows 1.6.0_02-b06. I was wondering if anyone else out there has seen this, or can point out what I may be doing wrong. Sample code to duplicate follows.

That does indeed appear to be a bug. I looks like it's having problems with the alpha value in the color model, so a possible workaround would be to change the color model the image uses before scaling. This may entail creating a new BufferedImage and drawing the old image into it.

I need to work extensively with Asian scripts. Does Creative Cloud work well with Asian scripts?

We previously used copies of InDesign from the US. As a result, we had a very difficult time typsetting Asian scripts until we were able to get Japanese InDesign copies.
I saw that CC has support for many languages; does this mean that we can have copies of InDesign that will work with Asian languages? Can the interface for this be English?

Hi there!
The short answer is no, the feature isn't available in the English UI at the moment. With Creative Cloud, you can, however, easily install the Japanese version of InDesign if you'd like.
As David pointed out, you'll need to install the World Tools CJK plug in to enable this feature. The Asian language paragraph composer is different than what's included in the world compser and we currently don't have an English CJK version of the software. There is no difference please be aware that each login is provided with two activations however. If you wish to have a computer at both work and home activated though that is perfectly fine as long as your employer is ok with using company software at home.
