Does "cropping" a clip affect the max resolution it exports at?

This might be a silly question.
I have a project that's made up of a bunch of clips that were all shot in 1080p.  I cropped one of them, by a little bit.  When I export it, the whole movie appears in 720p.  When I uploaded to YouTube, also, the max resolution was 720, not 1080.
Is it because I cropped one of the clips?
Thanks!!

Not tried it but could you make a 2.7k sequence and warp stabilise that, using stabilise only or stabilise and crop. Then add this sequence to the 1920x1080 sizing to suit.

  • What is the max resolution for external monitors from the intel hd 4000 graphics driver

What is the max resolution supported by the intel hd 4000 graphics driver found on the 13in MacBook Pro for EXTERNAL monitors?

OK so after doing much research... this seems to be the best workflow.
Bring HDV in to FCP as ProRes 422.
Edit show... add bells and whistles, etc.
    Export movie as ProRes 422.
Then for the client - ensure that they have latest version of Quicktime and download the Apple ProRes Quicktime Decoder (for mac or Windows). (It is assumed they have a decent computer to play back on.)
The client will then be able to play a movie encoded as proRes 422 and all will be happy.
As a back up a high resolution h264 file can't hurt.
Thanks for everyones input. We got there in the end.

  • What is the max resolution the MacBook can drive on an external display?

    Hi everyone,
I want to hook my my MacBook up to an external display, and I'm wondering what the max resolution it can drive is.
Is it different depending on whether I'm hooking up to a VGA display via the Mini-DVI to VGA adapter or to a DVI display via the Mini-DVI-DVI-D adapter?
    Thanks!
    Dave

The MacBook can drive an external display at a maximum resolution of 1920 by 1200. More information is available on this page.

I have a new macbook pro and an LG w2361v monitor.  The max resolution the mac is allowing me to set is 1400x1050, why can't I get to the max resolution the monitor can accept (1900x1080)?  I know that the monitor is able to accept this resolution but It can't seem to find it.  Is it something to do with the new thunderbolt port? or the fact that I'm utilizing the VGA adaptor?  I could go HDMI if that works better.

    Use DVI or HDMI.

  • How to increase the max resolution of the screen under KDE?

Now, the max resolution I can set is 1280*768, how can I get a larger one? such as 1920*1080.(my screen is big enough)
My arch is installed on a VMware virtual machine, the Win7 install on it can change the resolution   as I wish.
I install the arch linux and KDE according to the beginners' guide on the wiki, please tell me if I need to provide more information.
    Thank you all : )

You probably need some VMWare guest additions and drivers. Currently, it looks like your system is using the VESA/MESA framebuffer or something.

  • If I run a second monitor from an iMac, will I be able to achieve a resolution of 1928x1080 which is the max resolution of my second monitor?

I am changing to an iMac later this year. At the moment I run a Sony Vaio all-in-one and use a second monitor with it. Although the resolution of the second monitor is 1928x1080, I can only get it to work at a max of 1680x1050 so it's a bit fuzzy.
My question is, when using an iMac, will it be able to support the additional monitor at its max 1928x1080?
    Thanks

You are only limited by what the maximum resolution is on the external display. Look at it's specifications, then when you have connected it to your iMac look at System Preferences - Diplays - Display tab and choose the resolution on the external display.
BTW please complete your profile. It's difficult to assist you without knowing anything about your iMac. Much like asking Sally Ormond for financial advice and not telling her anything about your financial situation.

Wikipedia contains lots of info, too.
The maximum volume size of for instance ext3 depends on what blocksize you chose for that filesystem; with blocksize 8 KiB, you can create partitions of up to 16 TiB.
In case you need to store extreme amounts of data, or perhaps you just want the scalability, it's worth noting that Wikipedia claims ext4 can support a partition of size 1 EiB (=1024*1024 TiB), and XFS supports volume sizes of 8 EiB (and can actually fill that whole partition with only one file, if desired.)

  • Does any windows service affects the device driver wake up time?

Is it possible for a windows service running on Win 8.1 (64 bit) to delay the wake up time of any device driver?
One possibility could be where the driver has any dependency on any other driver/service.
In this case, I checked the driver's INF file and there is no dependency section.
The driver start up type is service_demand_start and driver type is kernel driver.
Any help on this is greatly appreciated.

Are you asking if a service can impact when the driver is started or when it is woken up after hibernation?  For a demand start driver they start when they are needed so depending on the driver yes it could only be started after the service does an
action.  You have eliminated the dependency section, but is the driver for actual hardware?  If yes then it is highly unlikely the service can impact it.  If no, then the service could be the starting it with StartService, or forcing its enumeration
    and starting.
If you are talking the hibernation case, no there is impact.

  • How does a global variable affect the runtime of optimisation-function fminsearch?

    Hi,
my function "fmintest" needs 254s ~ 4min to finish calculation in Mathscript, while Matlab needs
3s!!! I need the sorfware for data processing in a real time measuring system, where the calculation have to be done within 5 seconds.
In the Mathscript-help I found the following (global -> details):
If you call this function from a MathScript Node, LabVIEW operates with slower
run-time performance for the MathScript Node. To optimize the performance of the
MathScript Node, remove this function from scripts.
How can I remove needed global variables in the fminsearch function handle? Is the system faster if I would/can remove the global variables?
How can I avoid Mathscript-breakdown after saving changes to m-files and restarting them again?
    regards

    Hi,
can you provid a VI and not only your m-files? It will be easier to help you!
Can the customer provide a VI that demonstrates this behavior, rather than just providing the m files?
Also, the Help file says fminsearch is not supported by the
LabVIEW Run Time engine, so please take that in mind. If you want to build an application you cant use this function.

  • How does a corrupted file affect the vault update?

If I would have updated the vault after the files got corrupted, wouldn't the corruption get updated as well? Wouldn't that defeat the purpose?

I believe it's meant to only copy files that it knows have changed.
I.e. old masters wouldn't get re-copied, but version updates, metadata changes, new imported masters would.
Of course, many people here reported having a lot of problems with the Vault mechanism in version 1, but others seem to have no problem at all (suggesting a subtle system configuration difference.)

  • Does an CUCM upgrade affect the device defaults?

    Hello
we intend to do an CUCM upgrade from 9.1(2) to 9.2(2)SU2a.
However, our phones have the firmware 9-4-2-1S, different from the original firmware (9-3-1-SR2-1)
After the CUCM upgrade, will the device defaults get back to its original firmware version (9-3-1-SR2-1) or the current version will be kept?
    Thank you
    Marcos

    Hi Marcos,
    Yes, When you upgrade to a newer version of CUCM the phones will upgrade/downgrade to the Firmware version listed in the readme doc for the CUCM upgrade version as I have linked below. So in your case the the CUCM readme for 9.1(2)su2 is shown here;
    http://www.cisco.com/web/software/282074295/116350/cucmreadme912su2a.pdf
    In 9.1(2)su2 it looks like the Device defaults would be 9.3(1SR4.1) but it looks like the Device defaults in CUCM 9.1(2)su3 would be the same as what you are currently running so you would be good to go as they are 9.4(2.1) ;
    http://www.cisco.com/web/software/282074295/122683/cucm-readme-912su3.pdf
You could also copy the current device defaults into something like notepad and re-enter them after the upgrade, but if it were me, I would go with the later CUCM version 9.1(2)su3.
    Cheers!
    Rob

  • Edit Disable Panel Grid Alignment does not affect the Positioning of Front Panel Labels

In LabVIEW 2010, when I choose Edit>> Disable Panel Grid Alignment the positioning of Front Panel objects gets much finer so that I can make small adjustments. Put it does not seem to affect the positioning of front panel object labels. These object labels still move in very coarse increments and do not allow me to position them carefully.
How do I turn off the Grid Panel alignment for Front Panel Labels?

The positioning of labels you encounter has not so much to do with any grid, but with the fact that for labels, LabVIEW attempts to snap them to one of the control corners if you get close enough to the owning control. Outside of a certain range of the owning control you should be able to place them easily on any pixel. The snap behaviour of owned objects is not configured through the panel grid option. I'm not aware of an option to disable this behaviour, but usually find it rather handy instead of annoying. If it happens to not be exactly as desired, I adjust with the label selected and using the cursor keys.

  • Max resolution Mac mini 1660x1050???

I'm using my mac mini through logmein remote desktop with a windows laptop with a 1920x1200 display.
I want to get this resolution on the mac mini also but it let me get not higher as 1680x1050.
Is this the max resolution the mac mini can get?
I have tried different utility's like switchresx and newscreen but none of them getting it at 1920x1200.
Have anybody have a 1920x1200 monitor connected on the mac mini? or have a solution?

I think is not limitation of logmein because between to xp laptops i can change the resolution to the max.
I only have a monitor with 1650x1050 support, but my xp laptop does support 1920x1200 and don't want an extra monitor on my desk and sometimes and work an the mac on a different location.
Perhaps the is remembering the last connected monitor which is 1680x1050?
I have also also laptop with hackintosh osx86 installed and that laptop has also an 1920x1200 display and i can connect through logmein at 1920x1200.
so why the mac mini does not???
