Does CTM ignore recursive BOM's

Hello All,
We are finding problems wherein CTM stops planning when there is a recursive BOm involved?

can you expand on what you mean by recursive relationship ?
Based on my understanding planning engines do not take any cyclical relationships gracefully. Example an input of a Bill of Material or Bill of Distribution again becomes output in the relationship chain. One may have to do setup some dummy components to overcome this shortcoming.
Did the master data consistency check give any error at all ? Can you try to run piece-wise CTM (with different scope) and see if it works.?

Batch derivation for recursive bom

hello,
anybody please help me. when iam doing batch derivation for recursive BOM its not working. my recipent batch no is alo coming in sender batch no. its doing deling between sender batch no and recipent batch no. how can i solve this issue.

Hi Bhakta,
Bigger problem in your case is not multiple Batches of RM but more then one Batch No. of Header Material in single production Order.I guess in your case Batch No. are triggered at the time of GR and not in Production Order at the time of Release.Correct?
But up to my knowledge Batch Derivation is triggered at the time of Batch Creation in Production order.For which you have to first carried out Batch Derivation of sender Material.But in your cases the scenario is totally different due to Batch is created at the time of GR.So Difficult one and can be possible if you go with 1 Batch for 1 prod. order.

Costing - Multiple Production Versions and Recursive BoMs

Hi All,
We have a production and product costing scenario as follows:
Production versions 10, 20 and 30. It takes all three versions to manufacture the finished material and there are no intermediate products in this scenario. 10 and 30 are to be costed and 30 is a recursive BoM with the input from version 10 also being the output. 10 is the main production step with components but 30 is a recursive BoM sometimes only with the output material as the input and sometimes with a more complete BoM but which includes the output material as an input component.
The quantity input appears to be the same as quantity output for the recursive element.
If anyone has come across this scenario and you can let me know what design principles you followed I would appreciate it.
We are getting iteration error messages when costing production version 30 and even reducing the input quantity below 95% of the input as per the SAP documentation does not fix the error message.
Any help you can give will be greatefully received.

Murali - Its possible to use multiple PV in sub contracting.
Settings in ERP :
1. In CFC9 activate the - Transfer multiple selection of PDS indicator. When you select this indicator, the system allows you to select several productions versions in the integration model; it also creates a Production Process Model (PPM) or Production Data Structure (PDS) for each production version in SAP SCM
2. Assign the PV's to the subcontracting info record through - Logistics - Central Functions - Supply Chain Planning Interface - Core Interface - Advanced Planner and Optimizer - Environment - Data Transfer -Assign Multiple Production Versions
3. When you select the integration model parameters for PDS, you have selected PP/DS Subcontracting as the PDS Type value. Similarly, for PPM, you have selected Subcontracting PPM as the Type of PPM value.
Subcontracting with multiple production versions is supported. However, the integration with an SAP ERP system requires at least SAP ERP 2005 with Enhancement Pack 03.

Flex 3: Does Google Ignore URLs with # in Sitemaps?

Hi,
I'm making a sitemap for my Flex 3 site. Does Google ignore everything after the # in a url listed in a sitemap. For example, if my sitemap lists:
www.brainpinata.com/#
www.brainpinata.com/#view=2
www.brainpinata.com/#view=12
www.brainpinata.com/#view=15
Will the pages #view=2, #view=1, #view=15 be ignored?
How does Google handle # in sitemaps?

I think it may have something to do with conditions that set cookies for MapsGL (for compatibility?) when the page is loaded because it all started when google added Experience MapsGL which never came up on maps.google.com.au instead I got the message "Still loading... Slow? Use the troubleshooting guide or basic HTML."
What ever it is, it probably has something to do with a cookie being set when the page loads and that triggers "Still loading... Slow? Use the troubleshooting guide or basic HTML." It could be the cookie is set and then read again or the cookie is set and it causes and error in a script.

Something like that would explain why disabling cookies or private browsing works but deleting cookies does not.
It's still strange that it happens on the .au site. Will keep looking because this is driving me crazy.
EDIT> to clear thing up maps.google.com.au loads the entire page but the little yellow guy is not yellow. (disabled) then if I try drag or use the map, then I get the error "Still loading... Slow? Use the troubleshooting guide or basic HTML."
I will do anything to track down the problem.
Not sure but error console has lots of error with and without cookies enabled but this one stood out and was only there with cookies enabled

Trying to resolve Recursive BOM Component issue in Tcode CO46

Hello,
I am trying to identify the problem component when running CO46 and getting a "Recursive BOM Component" message.
I thought I would try to catch the bad component in the debugger, but I can't seem to find where to put the Breakpoint or identify a field to put a Watchpoint on.
Has anyone else had this issue and were you able to ID the BOM Component that was causing the issue?

I do not think, you need to follow any special procedure for std cost estimate calculation of Recursive BOMs.
Because, In the Recursive BOMs, 'recursivenss allowed' check box is enabled for recursive items in Recursive BOMs and hence system will not explode that item further during std cost estimate.
Please check and pass on info, if you find any difficulty.

This message was sent to us by SAP when we were having the same kind of requirement. Hope it will help you too.
Usage Probability
Material requirements planning (MRP) plans the alternative items according to usage probability.
If you use the usage probability to determine the withdrawal posting (strategy 1), the quantities are proposed according to the usage probability. You can change the proposed quantities.
An alternative item is only planned if the usage probability is at least 1%.
If the usage probability is 0%, a dependent requirement with quantity
0 is generated for the material.
The component with the quantity 0 is displayed in the planned order.
If required you can increase the quantity there.
It is possible to plan too much for alternative items, because you can enter usage probabilities that add up to more than 100%.

Recursive BOM - issue

Hi,
This is actually a bit Techno-functional type issue we have here.
There is a material having a recursive BOM. That means when it explodes it explodes into the same material.
So in Sales Order
item 10 - Material X
generates item 20 - material X.
After the GR is done as expected on Material X but in Item 20.
Till this part everything is fine.
Now we create the billing document. It should actually pick up Item 10 but instead it picks up item 20. Can you tell me any configuration / routines which can be done to avoid this issue.
We have the billing documnet which is referencing the Order and not the delivery.
Any suggestions would be very useful.

I am having similar issue, Can any one help me in this regard.
As per my client requirement:
For Ex:
Scenario 1:
To produce 100 kg of A, 102 kg of A is used.
Due to Market return stock 2 KG will processing loss or indivisible to loss.
As per business policy i can't change these BOM Header & Item Quantities.
The system cannot cost material A and issues an error message.
Scenario 2:
To Produce 100 Kgs of A Material(FG), We need B Material 98 KG(SFG).
Product is ready and despatched to Market.
After Some time Few Stocks will come as Market retunrs in FG Stage(A).
We need to Re-Process the same and stock will converted to SFG(B).
During this case also i am getting Recursive BOM errors.
Due to in A Material BOM ,B is a component already-Costing run Completed sent to Market. Now I am Converting the stock of A to B through a Production order while maintaining A as Component for B Material BOM.
Every stage i have alternative BOMs.
As per the requirement i can't avoid, Please suggest is there other user exits or Message control or Process to resolve the same.

How does "Select Ignore Suspected Duplicates" work?

During import, if I select "Ignore Suspected Duplicates" how does LR decide if a given picture is a duplicate? The on-line help doesn' say.

It is looking for actual, same name and file type duplicates. Basicly with this unchecked it will re-impmort images you have already imported so you will have more than one copy and the will be reported under an 'Already in Library listing under 'Previous Import'.
It does not apply to differently named same images or same named (including extension) different images.

System ask for recursive BOM

To SAP GURU,
I have 1 problem in master ecipre .I have halb( SFG-1 ) which is having 2 halbs ( SFG-2 & SFG-3 ). Again this 2 halb is having their multilevel bom .respectvely .SFG-2 is having co product ( Co po -1 ) which is again input in SFG-1 .
Now when i am saving recipe of SFG-1 system ask me that SFG-2 mat code is recursive & for also co product system ask me about recursive .Now unless & untill i will click on recursive allowed system dont allow me to save the recipe .Even if i saved recipe by clicking on recursive allowed in mrp run system not explode the BOM of SFG-2 .
Only when header material is used in bom compnent then only bom will be recursive but in my case even if i have not used header material in any of my bom component still system ask me abaut recursive ..So can u tell me is i am missing some where or some solution is their Now i am trying to solvr it by SAP notwes 161742.( Or any latest SAP note is available )
Please tell me is their any valid solution .

Sanil,
what ever you mentioned is true , the only problem you are facing error is related to BOM level.
SFG-2 and its co product ( Co po -1 ) you are putting in same BOM level ( ie in the BOM of SFG-1 )thats why you are getting this error.
as Co Po-1 will be produced after the production of SFG-2 so it can be at lower level where SFG-2 is maintained.
Think on it , its logiocaly correct , your co product can be produced before your main product.
Check out and revert back.

Recursive BOM error in MD04 (May be more related to MM?)

Hi,
I am looking for help with this error. We added a Substitute upper level Assembly Material into an existing BOM within a Production Order and this error occurs to the part in MD04.
Checking the available SAP Notes on this subject leads me to the conclusion that the reason for it happening is that the Low Level code on the substitute assembly material is missing!
The SAP Notes also provide a couple of downloads that can fix this issue, but only for SAP versions up to R/3 4.6? They are not applicable for our version - ECC 6.0.
Does anyone know if it is possible to manually change/update a Low Level Code for a material?

Does Raptor ignore registry settings?

Hi.
Raptor seems to ignore my registry settings. My Windows regional settings are Norway/Norwegian, but I prefer Oracle to display messages in US English. I therefore set the registry string NLS_LANG to American_.... Raptor displays Norwegian messages.
I also use the registry to point to a tnsnames.ora that resides in a non-standard location (TNS_ADMIN). Raptor does not find my tnsnames.ora.

Yes this is a little bit strange. But according to the readme file you can set an environment varibale TNS_ADMIN for the location of the tnsnames.ora file. I've done this and now it works as expected.
The downside is, I have now three TNS_ADMIN to watch: the env varibale and the Oracle Homes.
Did anybody realize a registry entry called "CONFIGURATION" under "ORACLE"? The entry therein I could see and choose in Raptor connections, but there is only one entry there

Why does iOS ignore proxy information?

Hi There,
We try to use our iPhones and iPads (Current iOS version 7.1.2) on a corporate Wi-fi system which in the main works ok. We configure the wi-fi connection manually to use a proxy server to connect to the internet and this appears to work fine for apps and internet browsing through Safari.However, a number of unidentified apps (I'm assuming Facetime, iTunes, App store and others in the core Apple App suite) are trying to go directly to apple registered IP addresses of:
17.173.254.222-223
On ports:
16384-6
443
These apps are ignoring the provided proxy information and trying to get to the internet directly out of the default gateway. These are being blocked by our firewall and cause a lot of additional unwanted traffic on the firewall interface. This causes our Syslog to fill up quickly resulting in extra overhead at the firewall and pollution of the logs we use for troubleshooting.
Is there a way to force these apps to use the proxy information provided within the wi-fi connection settings or somehow turn off this redundant activity that the devices are generating.

no, removing the screen protector and case doesnt help.
there is a proximity sensor problem you can look by yourself theirs tons of users complaining
even s.jobs at the time said there is a sensor problem and the bug will be fix in 4.1 update.
as you see it didnt help.
for some reason apple do ignore this problem
and Automatic maill System replayd my email and then i told them it didnt helped they didn't answer back
