Does "CTRL+COMMAND (apple)+ D" work in Firefox?

I love the browser dictionary shortcut (CTRL+Command [apple]+D) and would like to use the native built dictionary in Firefox. I noticed that it only works on the first word of the web page.
Has anyone discovered a way / plugin to get this awesome feature to work in Firefox? Thanks in advance.

Dont think the OS dictionary will work the same in firefox as it does in safari, how ever there's a add-on for firefox from google "Google Dictionary and Google Translate", different, but a dictionary at the end

i did not see a solution posted - I tired what I read. Going back to an old version may solve the problem but it is a stupid solution so I have yet to do that.

Uninstall version 5, then Google "google toolbar version 4", follow the link to FileHippo.com, and download and install the last version 4. When you reinstall it, make sure you turn off the option to perform automatic updates.

In relation to what ?
Your post has ended up in the iChat Community and does not appear to have anything to do with iChat or Messages.
My first thought would be have you highlighted something that you want to copy from one place to another ?
My second would be that you have created a CMD + C custom keystroke and there is conflict with the OS use of this.
My third would be there just is not enough info to work on

CTRL+H and CTRL+B have stopped working for Firefox. Every other CTRL command works. What's wrong and how do I fix it?

Whenever I want to open my history (CTRL+H) or my bookmarks (CTRL+B), I use those commands. They've always worked. Yesterday, they mysteriously stopped working. Every other CTRL+KEY command still works flawlessly.
I haven't done anything out of the ordinary in the past few days, and I've already tried to restart my computer. What could be the cause of this?

Why does Google voice no longer works in Firefox after adding addtional credit but does in Safari?

I am using Mac OS 10.10 with FireFox 30.0.2 as my browser. I was making calls OK on Goggle Voice through my G-Mail account. when I ran out of credit. I loaded additional credit and tried to resume calling. However, I kept get getting the following error message "Please download the voice plugin to make a call". Following the provided link lead me into a blind ally. Tried downloading a voice plugin and reinstalling, but no luck. Tried closing Firefox and reopening, but again no luck. There are no problems when using Safari as my browser. calls go through just fine.
Can't figure out why it worked just fine and thenstopped after laoding addtional credit.

Try clearing your cookies and cache and then try signing in again.
* History (or [[Image: New Fx Menu]] > History) > Clear Recent History

"Clear the Cache":
* Tools (or [[Image: New Fx Menu]] > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
* Tools (or [[Image: New Fx Menu]] > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Make sure that you are allowing the plugin on the site as maybe somehow it got changed.
Globally:
* Tools (or [[Image: New Fx Menu]]) > Add-ons > Plugins
* For Google Talk Plugin (and Video Renderer), make sure it is set to "Always Activate" or "Ask to Activate"
Per Site basis:
* On the site, click on the padlock or the globe icon to the left of the web address on the address bar and click "More Information".
** Or go to: Tools > Page Info
* Click the "Permissions" tab to see whether the plugin is activated on the site.

Why does my flashbuilder application not work in firefox, but does work in internet explorer?

I'm following the flex/facebook tutorial on adobe's site and when I run it in firefox nothing shows up, if i run it in internet explorer it shows the button...

Most likely a javascript error. Try opening the javascript console in FF and look for errors.

Java script does not seem to be working with Firefox 3.6

I am using Firefox 3.6, and recently installed MAC OS 10.6.5. I had a problem today working on a website and java script would not work with this browser. I was able to work on Safari though...

To fix this you will need to delete your firefox profile directory to get the new firefox 3.6.13 to work with the java plugin, its a good idea to run an update for java as well before hand. Or you can totally get rid of firefox and the profile directory and load an older version, just turn off automatic firefox updates.

Why does snagit auto scroll not work in firefox version 3.6.8 and can it be fixed

I have used Snagit v9.1 with Firefox for a long time through many updates but when I updated to Firefox version 3.6.8 the auto scroll stoped working, I did go back to an earlier version of Firefox and it worked OK.

Does Netflix on Apple TV work on Latam?

I was almost to buy a Roku 3 for streaming but someone told that netflix on Roku doesnt work for Latam, so i was wondering if that same thing happens with the Apple TV.

Not an ATV or Roku issue... contact Netflix and find out if they offer streaming in your country/region.
If they do, it will work on either device.
If they do not, it will not work on either device.

Does urlParams extension really not work in firefox 9, or has it just not been tessted?

Does 1st generation apple tv work with windows 8?

Having trouble getting windows 8 to reconize 1st generation Apple TV. Says nothing about windows 8 in online manuals. Talks about iTunes as being 32 bit system - windows 8 is 64 bit system. Is there a problem?

As long as iTunes is installed on the computer and it is on the same network as the Apple TV, they should simply see one another.
Do you actually have iTunes installed on the computer?

TS1702 How does the updated apple podcast work?

Help! Some of the podcasts I select don't give me the updated episodes, even though it reads updated with the current date. It won't let me delete the podcasts I no longer want. It gave duplicates of some of the podcasts. The are more issues - is there any way to get the old version back?

As far as i am concerned, this is not true. Field Updated by type of User Stamp should only show user's which are there in User's table of MDM console under node Admin-->Users. When we don't have any User of repository with name System, there is no point it will show you user System for field Updated by.
Query 1: Can you please confirm, do you have this User "system" available in your repository under node admin-->Users in MDM console ?
Query 2: Also, After our server migration was done, instead of showing System as the Updated By it now shows the Admin.
I seriously have doubt on this. Can you please check do you have really user System for existing records too? I mean you can do Free-form search for field Updated by with value system. I am sure even for existing records (whether in before server migration or in existing) you will not get single record with field updated by "system" . Can you please confirm on this ?
May be I am wrong, so kindly revert with your findings and confirm above both queries..?

Firefox feedback section does not work in firefox 6 or other browsers with a more sane update schedule

I tried to post this in the feed back section but it does not appear to be working in firefox version 6.
I have been working with computers for 30 Years, used Firefox since version 1.0 recommended it through websites that I develop and for people that I work with - I am afraid that will be coming to an end unless you guys stop the nonsense.
I do not like how you assume I want a new version very 6 weeks.
There is no clear documentation of the changes for each release. I Do not have time for this – it should be simple – it’s not -
There is no way to know why my add-ons are disabled with every update. And I have a basic vanilla system with a Java Console Broken, Kaspersky URL Advisor – Broken – vendors are going to stop supporting the Firefox browser if you break their code every time there is an update – and if I was them I would – this is the second time this has been broken in 6-months.
WTF - Can't you guys just write a patch or fix a security problem without a version change and breaking everything? I want stable and secure - that appears to have stopped with Firefox version 3.6
I know it’s free but there is a ton of free software I choose not to run because it is crap -
