I just know that 32bit dll doesn't work with 64 bit system.

Does the Developer Workplace also run on 64bit systems?

I know that this is not a supported platform, it seems that the developer studio is inly supported on XP 32bit. But I like to make full use of my 4GB RAM and therefore install the whole NW CE 7.1 environment including JEE server and development studio on a 64bit system (Linux or Windows Server 2003). Does this work or won't it even install?
Did anyone try this before? Will there be a new version in the near future that is supported to run on 64bit systems?

thanks for your reply. At least there is some hope now that it will run on 64 bit but from the various OSS notes I still do not get a clear picture. The notes you explicitly mentioned seem to be rather old. Now I found note 953763, which says:
Supported Operating Systems for Development Systems
If you want to install a SAP NetWeaver CE development system, the following operating systems are supported:
Microsoft Windows XP Professional SP2 (or higher) (32-bit)
Microsoft Windows 2003 Server SP1 (or higher) (64-bit)
From that note I guess that also the installation of NetWeaver Developer Studio will work on Windows Server 2003 64-bit.
Is anyone using this particular configuration?

SL500 " this program does not support this system"

I've an SL500 with windows 7 64bit system. It has a fresh system installed. I've installed all the necessary drivers correctly.Now I'm not able to install the followind items with system update utility:
Thinkpad ultranav driver for windows 7
Thinkpad hotkey features integration driver
Thinkpad Ultranav utility
If I try to install manually I receive an error message " this program does not support this system".

I had the same problem with Thinkpad hotkey features integration driver Version 3.84.1500
(and the latest version 3.84.2000)
It is a faulty installation!
2 Files missing.
Solution until Lenovo fixes the installation:
Download and extract latest version.
Download and extract version 3.81.0100.
Copy the files SWI32.sys and SWIX64.sys from version 3.81.0100 to the corresponding folder of the latest version.
Start setup.exe of latest version.
According to the file properties SWI32.sys and SWIX64.sys are used as 'System Information Detector'.
No wonder we get the error message 'this program does not support this system'

Without knowing anything about your computer we can't advise specifically. You can download CS6 versions in CC by checking the "older versions/ other versions" stuff in teh bottom section of the CC app's "Apps" tab, but that may not resolve your issues.

Does OVS2.2.1 support win7-64bit OS

I use OVS2.2.1
And I installed win7 64bit OS VM.
But when create the VM by OVM manager, the drop down list for OS do not have win7 selection.
Then I select windows vista instead.
After win7 OS installed, I installed OVM windows PV Drivers on it.
When I go to storage, the Hard Disk Driver is "Auto", and cannot set it as xvdx.
My question is:
1) Does OVS2.2.1 support win7-64bit OS
2) If not, which patch should I install to support win7.
3) Does xvdx model support win7?

yes this are the release notes of OVS 2.2.2. However I can remember that they looked the same for OVS 2.2.1.
PS: If you look in the server user guide under "What's new", you won't find a new entry for Windows 7 with 2.2.2 - which implies it has been supported before.
If you want to be 100% sure, upgrade to OVS 2.2.2.
No - it only means you are not using xvd* devices but hd* / sd* devices. Which is also valid.
However using xvd* devices (together with the PV drivers) is better for performance (I/O-Performance).

Required information on OAM supported version. I have checked the Access manager certification matrix. I can see two filed "*OS - 32/64 bit"* and *"Oracle Access Manager - 32/64 bit application"*. i was a bit confused and posting it.
Does Access manager support 64bit RHEL 4.x and 5.x (including web components). if not do we have any workaround solution for 64 bit OS

For RedHat 4/5 OAM comes mostly with 32-bit parts: Identity Server, Access Server, WebPass, and Policy Manager. WebGate can be used as 32-bit or 64-bit plugin for OHS 11g and others.

First, it would be a good idea for you to specify what distro of Linux you're using, as not all are supported by Adobe.

In a nutshell, CF expects the 32-bit version of libc.so.6 to be in /lib, but it's probably not. You might be able to modify the installer to point to the correct location for that file, or you might be able to create a symlink to the file - but as the above link describes, creating a symlink might have negative consequences.
As for installing CF 8 64-bit, that's only available with Enterprise, not Standard. If you want CF Standard 64-bit, you need to upgrade to CF 9.

SCCM 2012 - Adding Operating System Installer (The specified path does not contain a valid operating system ..)

I have encountered the dreaded "The specified path does not contain a valid operating system or you do not have permission to access it. Specify a valid path" message that seems to be popular in many forums .... BUT, so far none of the "solutions"
have fixed the problem (of I don't understand the fix)
Configuration
SCCM 2012 SP1 5.0.7804.1000
WADK 8.100.26629.0 < Suggested Fix

SCCM Administrator with UserID = SCCMAdmin
Steps / Fixes I have followed
I have configured a administrative share
\\caleb\sources$ to hold directories (such as Apps, Drivers, and OS) with the following NTFS Permissions
EVERYONE has Read and Execute, List folder, Read permissions<o:p></o:p>
SYSTEM has Full Control
<Suggested Fix
SCCMManagers (our group that has all SCCMManagers) has Full Control<o:p></o:p>
SCCMAdmin (the SCCM Admin account that we are using to import image) has Full Control<o:p></o:p>
Local Administrators (the local machine administrator) has Full Control

Another suggestion I was able to glean was to Specify the Network Access Account
so I configured SCCMAdmin as the Network Access Account.
Another potential fix is that the image ISO file that has been downloaded is corrupt.   So, I downloaded the Win 7 (and Win 8.1) ISO's from MSDN and did a Checksum check.
I then mounted the ISO (on 2008R2 I use VirtualClone Drive) and copied the contents of the image to
E:\Sources\OS\en_windows_7_professional_with_sp1_vl_build_x86_dvd_u_677896 for Windows 7 with SP1
To double check,
I computed the Hash on the Install.WIM located in the Sources directory and compared with
the computed Has Tag for the Install.WIM on the ISO Image ... and the Hash tag of the WIM's matched (extracted vs what is contained within the ISO)<o:p></o:p>
I tried to load the images into SCCM 2012 using the "Operating System Installers" option

Can 23" cinema HD Display support Game systems connectivity

I currently have my display connected to my MacBook but space is a factor at my dorm. Can I use my Apple 23" Cinema HD Display to connect my xbox 360? I bought a DVI to HDMI adapter but i get no picture. i also have a xbox VGA cable if i need to go that route. I figure digital to digital should give me a better picture, the an analog to digital. Can my 23" Cinema HD Display support game system connectivity or these older display were meant for Mac's Only?

followup question... Does the 23" cinema HD Display support HDCP? Could that be the cause for a blank screen. the power light is solid. I when to Display settings and lower resolution on the monitor, still no picture?

How to use VBScript to access a 32bit ODBC System DSN (Excel) on a Windows 7 64bit system?

What is the correct way to connect to a 32bit System DSN (Excel) on a Windows 7 64bit system?
I've recently switched from Windows XP Pro x32 to Windows 7 x64. Now, one of my scripts that uses an ODBC connection will no longer work. After a bit of searching, I discovered that Windows 7 x64 does not currently have 64bit Excel drivers. However, you can set up 32-bit connections by running "C:\Windows\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe". Unfortunately, my script still won't work even though I set up the System DSN exactly like I did on my old computer.  When I run my script, I get the following error:

It seemed to me that wscript.exe will only communicate properly with an identical environment (x32 to x32 or x64 to x64, but not x64 to x32 or x32 to x64). With that in mind, I found a way around the error by running my script via the 32bit version of Windows Script Host. I changed the shortcut path from "X:\XML_CHECK.vbs" to "C:\Windows\SysWOW64\wscript.exe X:\XML_CHECK.vbs" and the script appears to function ok.
What I really want to know is if there is a way to run my script via the 64bit version of wscript.exe yet have it connect to the 32bit ODBC subsystem? Is there a specific connection string I can use or am I just out of luck until Microsoft puts out 64bit Excel drivers?

I faced the same issue recently. There was a 32bit MSOffice installed on the 64bit server and the same visual basic code worked from MS Office script debugger, and did not in the cscript/wscript.
It seems that
- the cscript/wscript used 64bit ODBC driver
- the office used 32bit ODBC driver
Excel drivers are installed for 32bit ODBC (because of 32 bit office the ODBC manager 32bit was a full hand of drivers).
Excel drivers are NOT installed for 64bit ODBC manager (because of 32 bit OFFICE) and can not be installed while the 32bit MS OFFICE is installed.
The SQL drivers are installed for 64bit ODBC (so that is why the SQL connection was established well)
The solution would be to run .js .vbs scripts in 32 bit environment:
\windows\SysWOW64\cscript.exe or \windows\SysWOW64\wscript.exe

I am using MDT 2013 and I am trying to deploy server 2008 in it. I mount my 2008 iso file, import OS, then select full set of source files, and enter D:\ . It says, "The source directory does not contain an identifiable operating system". I am
sure that install.wim file is present in sources folder. What other folders/files does it need while importing OS?
Note: it is an customized OS. It has MS hotfixes and dotnet 4.5 installation package in it.

Does 10.6.8 support DHCPv6?

I saw in the release notes for 10.6.8 that IPv6 support was "improved." Unfortunately, I don't see any specifics as to what these improvements were. Has DHCPv6 support been added?
Anyone who uses OS X with IPv6 on a Cisco router will greatly appreciate not having to manually add their DNS IP address manually.

Kappy I do appreciate you taking the time to respond to my question, and I don't mean to sound rude, but that IPv6 test doesn't have anything to do with DHCPv6. Everything between your AEBS and your Mac was likely configured using stateless address autoconfiguation (SLAAC,) which is not DHCPv6.
Here's an explanation of the difference between DHCPv6 and SLAAC from the DHCPv6 wikipedia entry:
DHCPv6 is the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol for IPv6. Although IPv6's stateless address autoconfiguration can also be used to acquire IPv6 access, DHCPv6 may be a more suitable solution to assign addresses, nameservers and other configuration information as being done today with DHCP for IPv4. A notable case is Domain Name System servers used on a network, albeit other mechanisms exist for this in the Neighbor Discovery Protocol.[1]. At the time of writing, Microsoft Windows does for example only support the method used with DHCPv6 and not RDNSS with stateless address autoconfiguration.
The only reason I ask this question now is because IPv6 enhancements were reported in 10.6.8. From what I have seen in the packet captures I've done here, the "managed config flag" bit is set in the router advertisements, which means my MacBook should be using DHCPv6 for additional configuration, however it is not.
So basically all signs point to 10.6.8 still not supporting DHCPv6, but I was hoping that had changed with 10.6.8's IPv6 "improvements."

I have a PXIe-4112 and four of PXI-4130. When I try to configure my PXIe-4112 with the PowerSupply IVI Step Type, an error occurred.

Surely I disabled the 'OVP Enabled' check box at the Edit IVI Power Supply Step Dialog. My system configuration is,

My PXI-4130s are working well with the IVI Step type. Does IVI Step Type support NI PXIe-4112? Or am I doing something wrong about it?

Hi Joonam,
The PowerSupply IVI step will not currently work with the 4112.
The 4112 does not support OVP. If the NIDCPOWER_ATTR_OVP_ENABLED attribute is set to True, the error that you described is expected. If it is set to False, no error should be generated. However, an error is generated when it is set to false. This is incorrect behavior in the driver and has already been documented under Corrective Action Report (CAR) #437105. This issue will likely be rectified in a future version of NI-DCPower.
The PowerSupply IVI step is hard-coded to set the attribute to true or false, based on the value of the check box in the Limit tab. The workaround to this problem is to replace your PowerSupply IVI step with a step based on a code module that doesn't try to set the OVP_ENABLED attribute at all.
I apologize for any trouble that this has caused you. Let me know if you would like any further clarification.
