Does Dreamweaver MX run on Intel Processor?

Hi, on my old iBook, DW MX worked fine. I moved my files to a
Macintosh WorkBook Pro, a laptop with the new Intel processor. Now
Dreamweaver MX crashes when I try to connect to the server. I've
run the only upgrade patch on Adobe's website, can't think of what
else might help besides going to version 8. Any ideas?

DMX predates the MacTel systems by >3 years. I think you'd
be lucky if it
ran.

  • Does Dreamweaver CS4 run on...

    Hi,
It's just a really simple question - does Dreamweaver CS4 run of windows 7 64 bit, or at all all the adobe programs such as flash etc?
    Thanks,
    Josh

Does Dreamweaver run under Windows 7? No, not very well. Our experience
was that it's broken all over the place. File dialogs are not working correctly, images are not placed correctly and a whole bunch of other issues under Windows 7. Read through the forum here and you will see all kinds of problems. We've had to switch to Microsoft Expression Web because of all the issues. We can't wait another year for Adobe to release CS5 or simply fix all the issues. We're trying to run a business here. We prefer Windows 7 over the choice of keeping Dreamweaver CS3 and CS4. Couldn't deal with all the problems.
    Good luck to you all.
Wow, 2 posts and all you do is complain?  Any business that has an IT department that employs a system-wide OS upgrade to a newly released OS without having the software tested or having backups made and forces the company to switch from one software suite to another costing the company needless time and money needs to have that IT department fired.
BTW, there are a few bugs with having to manually type paths, but Adobe has said they will patch the software for any bugs with the new operating systems ( Snow Leopard or Windows 7).  These things don't happen overnight either.  If you notice a bug the only way it will get fixed is to submit a request ( Adobe - Feature Request/Bug Report Form ).  Otherwise if your company has the time and money to switch over like lillie then you can switch to another application.

  • Does Dreamweaver cc run on 11" mac Air?

I am thinking of buying a Mac Air 11 or 13 inches. I will maintain one static Website ( about 4 releases a year).
    1. Does Dreamweaver run on Mac Air 11" (However, the minimum configuration on the support page says otherwise)?
    2.  How usable will this set up be?
    Thanks for all your help

I use an older(Early 2008 MacBook) 13" laptop as one of my devices and DW_CC runs Ok on it. In fact, it is not upgradable to the latest OS for the past two releases so I still run 10.7.5 and all works OK. I have a Mac Mini running 10.9 Maverick and so far have had no problems with it either.
To answer your question, my vote is, "yes" it will run DW_CC.

  • CS2:: Will CS2 run on intel processors?

Need to upgrade workstation but cannot afford new software.
Need to keep CS2. Will CS2 run on Intel Macs?
In other words, should I get a used G5 or a used MacPro

CS2 will certainly run on Intel Macs, though it runs in Rosetta emulation. This means that it is slower than CS3 - some times a lot slower - especially if you do not have a boat load of RAM. Also, you should stick with Tiger if you run CS2 on an Intel Mac.

  • Does FCE HD run on intel imacs?

There are comments on other forums that FCE HD won't run on intel-based Imacs. Any truth, workarounds? I'm considering an Imac, and they come with FCE installed (not sure if HD) as an option, so I can't understand why this problem would arise. The complainers say it needs AGP card that is not present on the imacs.
    imac 20" Mac OS X (10.4.3)

FCE-HD runs perfectly fine on Intel based Macs. If you are purchasing a new Mac with FCE-HD pre-installed, you will get FCE-HD version 3.5 which is the correct version.
What you heard about is a minor problem that some people had when they tried to run FCEHD version 3.0 on an Intel Mac. They got the AGP error message but you could always ESC from the error message and FCE would run.
FCEHD version 3.5 is the correct version for the Intel Macs.

I am having trouble launching Dreamweaver since upgrading to Yosemite.  It has a Java update message but my Java is up to date.  It directs to a website which does not open.
    Any ideas or solutions?

Fiddled about a bit.  Found it. Installed it. Now Dreamweaver working fine.  Thanks

  • Uninstalling older apps that will not run on Intel processor

Does anyone know of some clean fast soloutions?

Best way would be to use their uninstallers. If not provided go to developers website to see if they are provided. If not then just put them in the trash and empty. Using utilities like CleanMyMac are not recommended. It is to easy to trash essential system files using them.

  • Using Modem MA034Z with MacBook Pro with Intel Processor

I have just bought the MacBook Pro to replace my old PowerBook G4 but find I no longer have an internal modem (Thanks Apple!! - we dont all send all our time in major metropolises)
I have read a couple of reviews stating the MA034Z apple modem does not work with the Intel processor in the MacBook Pro. Any substantiation?
Can anyone guide me to an external modem that works. I just need simple dial up - no faxing

    Welcome to Apple Discussions!
I have the Apple USB Model MA034 external modem which I got when I bought my MBP in September 2007. I have used it for dial up internet ever since, and have had absolutely no issues with it. I use it for dial up both at home and when I travel. It works perfectly.
I find it hard to imagine that Apple would provide a modem that would not work with the MBP. It may be worth reviewing the reviews, and possibly posting a link so that their assertions about the modem can be evaluated.
    Good luck!

  • My older mac wont install os x 10.6 although I have a intel processor. Was using friends disc that came with computer

I have tried to download disc on the computer, get a pop up at end that states cannot use 10.6 even though there is enough memory and running on intel processor. The disc is a grey install disc

Niel is correct. You need a retail disk, if you use a grey disk that came with different computer, especially a different model / year, it won't work.

  • My iphone 4s will not sync on my mac; I'm running 10.4.11 and I do not have the intel processor; iphone does not show up as a device

My iphone 4s will not snyc on my mac at home; I'm running 10.4.11 and do not have the intel processor; on my work computer  my iphone is recognized as a device in itunes, but my music library can only be located on my older mac at home.

The iPhone REQUIRES OS X 10.5.8 or higher. This is clearly stated in the documentation and on the web site. There is no magic that will make it work with 10.4.x.

  • Running Oracle on an non intel processor

I got a AMD K6II-400, whilst running svrmgrl it dumped a core
    file.
file core revealed (don't have the message here) something like
    .... LSB 32-bit .................. Intel 80386 version 1.0
does this mean that ORACLE won't run on this processor or is this
    a Linux problem??
    any responses appreciated.

First anyone that wants to hate on intel or mac, go
someplace else. I run both systems on seperate
computers, frankly both have benefits, but what I'm
really wondering is if there is any compatability on
OSX with non-apple bought intel architechture
systems, or if there will be sometime in the future.
Basically it boils down to I run a small video
production company and my mac is getting on in years
and I don't have the budget to purchase a new
computer and my personal computer blows pretty much
everything else away, so I was wondering if I could
load up OSX and Final Cut on it, even if it runs
slower it will still help with the editing process.
    Thanks.
Just try typing Maxxus in a search engine. this guy has hacked OS X to run on a pc. also, OSx86 site can be found
by running same search. They are hacks and sound a little
    complex.
I would just wait until Apple migrates there. Look at
the new mac-mini intel: integrated graphics. Won't be
    long; more money for Steve.

  • Mini Mac w/Intel processor : does it support  OS9.x

Does the new mini-mac w/Intel processor support OS9.x? I've read that the mini-macs cannot start up in OS9. But I have the impression the mini-macs with Apple cores have an OS9 folder for those applications requiring OS9. Not sure if this is true for the ones with INTEL cores. Or for that matter if other software must be modified for the INTEL processors [Microsoft office, photoshop, printer, scanner, burner utilities] or whether the Tiger Intel version takes care of those issues [assuming I've updated the applications to OS10.4]. In other words, if separate updates are necessary for these applications depending on which core processor is in the computer. The main issue I see is with the Logitech 4000 webcam, which works with OS9.1-9.2.1, 10.1 and 10.2.
    Jim

    Jim,
Depends on the the speed and memory in the Cube. Either Jaguar or Panther will probably be good, if you have enough memory. Jaguar was the first "usable" OSX and I lived with it for a few years, but I like Panther much more.
I found, with enough real memory, Panther runs faster than Jag on my 500MHz PBG4.
Don't give up on your Intel Mac tho'. Keep checking Sheepshaver (in google) to see when it becomes Universal Binary. That might faster than OS9 on the Cube.

  • How do you upgrade OS X 10.4.11 tiger to a higher version of operating system such as OS x 10.5.6 as have tried running the upgrade disc on imac 5,1 with intel processor but only get message saying this cannot be installed with no further explanation ?

    Retail Leopard disc looks like this;
(The disc itself has the same logo). If the one you've got is grey it simply won't work.
Given the retail and second hand prices of Leopard (usually some on Amazon MP), you'll probably find it cheaper to go directly to Snow Leopard, although there could be software updates and printer driver problems that could nullify the difference.

  • Does Logic Studio v.2.1 work with "any" intel processor?

Does Logic Studio v.2.1 work with "any" intel processor?

Any Intel CPU that Apple ships or has shipped. What do you expect? 80286?
If you asked for a recommendation: i7 with 8 cores works great.

Then it either is a pirate clone or you are misinformed.
Apple Computer has never used AMD processors in its products.
However, the Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) is a Radeon unit, which is an AMD subsidiary. Parallels, VMWare, VirtualBox will all work fine with the Intel Core i7 or i5 CPU that powers the Mac, and use the AMD Radeon GPU that drives the displays.
