Does e17 lock up all the time for everyone, or just me?

Every time I install e17 it locks up X on me frequently. It doesn't do it when it's just idling, but I feel like if I click too much or too fast, it'll freeze on me.
It's very frustrating because it's like this every time I install it, which is about once a month, because I really want to use it.
And this happens on the first run, where I haven't even loaded it up with modules. I'll be changing the theme and it'll lock up on me.
A lot of people say that it's been super stable, but not for me.
I do have an Nvidia card with the latest proprietary drivers and I always install e17-svn from the community repos.
What's the deal, E?

This sounds like it is about Window positions.
iChat has Default places for Incoming Invites.
Video is always top Center of your Screen
Audio and Text chats are Upper right with the Audio slightly lower than Text Chats.
Secondary invites are sort of Stacked like when you open multiple files from the same App.
Your outgoing Windows are "Remembered" as to where the last one was when you used it.
This can be an issue if you use your Mac with a second display and turn Off Mirroring.
You windows can get "left" on the other screen.
Go to System Preferences > Displays and turn On Mirroring and the windows should come back to one Screen/display.
If this does not help go to your Home Folder/Library/Preferences and delete (Drag to Trash) com.apple.ichat.plist and restart iChat.
Unfortunately you will need to reset any iChat Preferences you have changed from defaults.

My yahoo email locks up all the time now. I have to force reload every time. I receive and send emails OK. I have the same problems on another Mac with older OS and still same problem. I recently upgraded it to Lion and the problem still exists. It started 4-6 weeks ago and has progressivley gotten worse. I've had yahoo email for years now but am considering dropping this email account if it's not soon fixed. Thanks for any input...

Very possibly your iPod is faulty. Is it new, or has it ever worked correctly?
Before you think about sending it off for service, have you tried restoring it?

You don't tell us what year model MBP you have. Also, there is no such thing as iOS 10.9.5, but there is Mac OS X 10.9.5 Mavericks. In addition to that, tell what you mean exactly by "... locking up all the time..." and What you Did exactly when you "... undid it once before..."

I'm the still happy owner of a almost 3 years old powerbook G4 12". I have been troublefree so far when sudenly things started to go worng last week
1) I had the "privilege" to experience an hard drive "crash" (http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=302411) related to disk utility. It took me 1 day to recover the data, then reformat the drive and reinstall 10.4, and apply update software all the way to 10.4.7 and other seurity update (Whoaaa that was long)
2) NOW: Since then my fan is on all the time. As soon as I start the laptop it's on and it goes off only if I put the laptop to sleep (or shutdow of course).
I did check sensor temperatures and everything is within range (even on the low side)

I have noticed a "2FAN/7/4: Fan for main enclosure" error using Apple Hardware Tool... Does that mean that my main circuit board is not working or that the fan controller is burned !!!
Anyway it's really annoying and I have seen that I'm not the only one suffering "the Fan Always On" syndrome....

Well if you had bought AppleCare, it normally would be free. Though if the machine is older than three years, or out of AppleCare, it may be more expensive. I've found these two places often charge less than AppleCare to fix out of warranty Powerbooks:

Any problem leaving my MacBook on all the time for the new AppleTV?

I now have two new AppleTVs, both of which Home Share with my one MacBook.
Home Sharing only works when my MacBook is powered up and iTunes is running.
Questions are...
Is there a problem with leaving my MacBook plugged in and turned on all the time? Battery health?
Is there any way to make iTunes Home Sharing work with the cover closed?
Suggestions?

I'll clarify my questions. I am using my MacBook the same way you would use a home computer, like a MacPro or a MacMini. I have it hooked to a home TV and I use a bluetooth keyboard and magic pad to operate it. It just sits next to the TV like cable box does.
Issue #1) My MacBook is plugged in and turned on all the time, 24/7. This is not a problem for a MacPro or MacMini since neither one has a battery, so my first questions are: Will this destroy the battery's ability to maintain a charge when I do occasionally use my MacBook as a portable? Also, could this be a fire hazard since laptop batteries tend to get warm?
Issue #2) With the cover closed, the MacBook continues to operate as long as it is receiving periodic input from the keyboard or trackpad. However, once the TV that it is connected to is turned off, the MacBook goes to sleep since it's no longer hooked to a display, either it's own (cover closed) or the TV monitor (turned off). Next question is: Is there any way to keep this MacBook and iTunes operating in this condition (turned on, but cover closed and TV monitor off) so that I can continue to HomeShare with the other AppleTVs in the house?

The "fix" is to get the phone repaired. There's no magic solution for a broken phone.
Bring your phone ant $149 to Apple for an out of warranty replacement, or find a 3rd party repair shop near you.

Saving to SharePoint works only half the time for Windows 7 Users--all the time for Windows XP users

We have a SharePoint 2010 Environment with hardware load balancing, 2 WFEs, 2 Apps Servers and 1 SQL Server. This was built in October 2013. Office Integration and Saving back to SharePoint works all of the time for users on XP. It works sporadically for
users on Windows 7. When Windows 7 users do the following:
Opening an Office Document from computer and saving it to SharePoint
Within a Document Library, using Save As from an opened document
When selecting in a Document Library from the Document Tab> “New” and then the desired content type
Send> Save to SharePoint from within Office Document
They may either be brought to the SharePoint library (correct) or to My Documents (incorrect).
In the case of number 1 (Opening an Office Document from computer and saving it to SharePoint)--using Save and Send will sometimes open the SharePoint library and sometimes open My Documents.

When My Documents is opened I've noted with Fiddler (a web debugger) that we get a 404 on sites:

Some things to double check:
Ensure that you have sticky sessions enabled on your load balancer
Check that your WebDav calls are making it to the server
Ensure that you have a root site collection in all your web apps
Just out of curiosity, what is the http request look like for the 404 error?

Must I keep my computer on at all times to get the time machine to do updates ? If not how do I go about updateing time machine on a regular basis

It depends on how much backing up you want. Time Machine will do backups if you have it turned on (in Time Machine Preferences), and if you have your computer connected to a backup drive (either wired or wirelessly, like a Time Capsule), that is specified in TM Preferences, and is also turned on. So, for example, I keep my two macs turned on all the time, and I keep Time Machine turned off. When I am not using my macs they sleep. I have external USB drives for backup via Time Machine, but I don't keep them on and connected all the time. When I think of it, which is about once a week, I'll hook them up, power them on, and do a manual backup: I turn Time Machine on and tell it to backup. When I have more critical documents, I keep them backed up on Dropbox, or iCloud, so I know that every time I finish using them and close them they are backed up. If you want to have more complete backups, then you would keep your computer always connected to your backup drives, and the drives would always be powered on and time machine would always be turned on. You could either have all of these turned on all the time, or just when you are using them and power them all down when you are not using them, or have them powered on all the time, but set the computer to sleep when you are not using it. It just depends on what you are comfortable with in terms of backups.
