Does E4200 support Sony Remote play?

I have a Sony Vita , PS3, & Cisco ASA 5505 firewall. I can get remote play to work only if the PS3 is powered on. The ASA will kill any Wake-on LAN packet no matter what I do to try to allow it. Apparently it doesn't support directed broadcast.
Has anyone gotten Remote Play to worth with Wake-on LAN through an E4200 or E4200v2 (not sure which one I need)?

You may be mixing up two entirely different Adobe products.
1. Adobe Flash Player. Needed to view web pages designed with Flash. Not needed to view PDF files. Not available for Android (not just Sony).
2. Adobe Reader. Reads PDF files. However, the Android can also read most PDF files without needing Adobe Reader.

The Yendo simply doesn't have a full PC interface, so it's not supported by PC suite/companion, similarly to other phones such as the W395.

Does iMovie support Sony MicroMV video format?

I have one Sony MicroMV HandyCam (Model No. DCR-IP55E) and try to use iMovie to import the video from it. iMovie can recognize this machine (It shows the correct name and format for it!). But it can not import the video. As iMovie only recognize DV or mepg-4 format, what should I do now? Please kindly advice.

I've been covering the photo industry as a journalist for over 14 years and frequently deal with Sony. I never said they don't make some good products, but that they always do things their own way and have NEVER made much of an effort to support the Mac community.
It is very sad that as a new Mac user, it
seems like I have to use the PC to import the clips
and then use Mac to do the editing. So is it possible
that Mac new Operating system will provide certain
software or driver for SONY MicroMV videocam in the

I certainly doubt it based on past experience. BTW, it's up to Sony to supply the necessary drivers to make things work on a Mac (or some third party) - Apple doesn't do this. Since Sony sells PC format computers, they don't seem to have any reason to do so.
I suppose you could buy a new Intel Mac and also install Windows - then you could use the Sony supplied software to get the video into your computer.
There are plenty of great camera choices that DO work with the Mac.

Nokia n8-00 does not support dvr remote H264Midlet

Hello to everybody.
My name is Michael and I own the n8 model which I discover that dvr remote doesn't work in my shop cameras as other and chipper phones do, like androids. The program that the security company gave me is H264Midlet from Symbian(DVRX264) folder and shows me only the first setup camera but not the other three cameras. In addition security company claims that Nokia didn't update the software to accept that program.
Can anyone help me on this or even gives me any other program that works well?

Does LR5 support Sony RX100 raw files?

I'm currently using LR3 and I will upgrade to 5 if it supports the RAW files. I want to try to avoid using the Sony raw file converter if possible. Thank you!

It supports RX100, RX100M2 and RX100M3 with the latest version 5.5, although there needs to be a fix for the RX100 M3 at ISO125 ... it is a little dark.

Aperture does not support SONY's new DSLR A100!!!

Just bought a SONY's new DSLR A100 and found Aperture does not read the camera's RAW file ( *.arw ). Is there any solution for this or I can only wait until Apple issue a software update for this?

The "format" will undoubtedly be the same or very similar: where the numbers representing each pixel are stored within the file, and where the metadata is kept. But what differs is the mapping of the number values to (I'm simplifying here a bit) actual colours. Different camera models from the same manufacturer have different sensors, and these output on different scales.
What Apple (and others) have to do is work out the ratios required for a given camera model, to get the right colours. Whilst you could probably edit the properties file yourself to make Aperture and MacOS recognise the file format, you'd have to do some work to decide the correct numbers (in some cases, you can use others work - there was an explanation on this forum previously about using DCraw source to determine good starting values for an Olympus camera.)
The DSLR-A100 has a different sensor from the 5D. There's another 4MP for starters. (Actually, I just had a glance at the latest DCraw code, and it looks like the A100 raw file is treated differently from other KM and Sony cameras. So perhaps they have got a new format.)

Not under Mac OS X 10.6 for RAW. 10.7 supports it with iPhoto 9.4 or Aperture 3.4. Unfortunately you'll have to kiss your PowerPC software good bye, unless you want to run a special Parallels solution, or a separate partition running 10.6 on your machine, which would require cloning twice to two separate drives, and partitioning for just a 10.7 system with the iPhoto or Aperture version of your choice, leaving enough room for 10.6 and the applications that need it. Does Lync Support Viewer Remote Control of Video Cameras?

I was wondering whether Lync has the following functionality:
1) Does Lync have the ability to allow meeting viewers to control the videocameras that are being used by a presenter? So assuming I have the proper pan tilt zoom camera/hardware, if I was a "presenter" in a meeting, could I allow my "guest"
viewers to control my cameras? (Up, down, left, right, and zoom)
2) Does Lync allow for a single user to transmit multiple videocamera feeds at once?

1) No, not natively, but with third party help possibly.
2) Not really, but there are some specialty devices which might be interesting... Check out the Polycom CX5500

Why does my html widget not play sound in ibooks?

I've designed a widget that plays sound correctly in every other browser. It uses an AAC-MPEG4 with the .m4a file extension on all of the sounds. I know the code is working correctly because as I said, it works in any browser. I've checked to volume controls and speakers of the ipad, they work and are turned all the way up. I just wonder if ibooks somehow does not support the javascript .play() command...

This proves what I believed and that is you are not naming the file correctly. It has got a hidden file extension and if you were using Windows, I would have told you how to reveal the file names properly including hidden extensions of known file names. I know nothing about MACs so you have yto wait until Murray Summers or John Waller comes here. They know about Apple MACs and they have been in the business longer than anybody here.
In windows, if we want Notepad to keep the names as it is we normally name the file as:
"welcome.html" including the quotes so that Notepad will know that it is not the normal text file to be opened in notepad or wordpad (TWO text editors in Windows)
Perhaps you should use my file as a template and then change the text to:

Time Machine is capable of backing up to multiple locations, and can be used to back up to both a local hard drive and a networked drive (provided that that drive is in or connected to a Time Capsule or another Mac that is sharing it over the network). The catch, though, is that you can't specify different things to back up to different destinations. Whatever you exclude from Time Machine backups is excluded from ALL backups, and whatever is included is included on all.
So, get a large enough drive that you can back up everything you want in all locations, or use something else for maintaining the network backup.
