Does Elements 9 Support  New Nikon D7000?

Any News on whether the new Elements 9 software will support the new Nikon D7000?.  I see where it does support Nikon's NEF Raw Format but can find nothing about Supporting the Nikon D7000 due to be released to stores the middle of October.

Help!
I have the new Nikon D7000 and don't want to have to use the Adobe DNG Converter program for every RAW ("NEF") file I shoot.
Q1:  If I buy Adobe PSElements9, and I download the 6.3 Camera Raw plug-in, will I be able to open PSEditor and, using the "Open As" choice on the file menu of the PSEditor, go directly to Camera Raw mode? Or, will I continue to be required to use this more recent CR plug-in-- 6.3-- outside of PSE, then re-open the converted files in Editor?
Q2:  Does PSE10 exist, and, if so, has it addressed this Nikon d7000- camera raw compatibiltity issue?
TIA a quick reply.  I'm going crazy here!

    Not yet. You need to wait for the next update. It's already been added to CS6 and Lightroom 4; so it should follow soon.
    If you can't wait and convert from NEF to DNG you can use PSE10 but always keep your originals as back-up and incase you need to use Nikon software.

    Yes, as long as you update your camera raw plug-in (ACR) to version 8.3 using Help / Updates… in the PSE Editor.

  • Does Elements 12 support 32 bit images in a 64 bit OS?

    Does Elements 12 support 32 bit images in a 64 bit OS?

    Yes.  It makes no difference how your image was created - on 64 bit
    software or 32 bit software.  It is still a document and so it should
    load on any system running any photo-editing software.
    PSE is still a 32 bit software for windows;  Nobody knows when will 64
    bit version come out.

  • Why does elements 11 not recognize nikon nef files

    I have been using Elements 11 for quite a while for Canon Raw files with great success. It really works fine for me.
    I recently bought a Nikon D300. For some reason Elements 11 will not recognize the Nikon NEF raw files.
    W H Y ? ? ?

    Thank you for your reply.
    Answers to your questions:
    I am using Win7 64 bit. Elements 11 has worked just fine until I attempted to process NEF files.
    I always copy files to my HD before trying to process any.
    How do I check to see if my Camera Raw module is current? EVERY time, regardless of day of the week or time of day, when do the Help/Update thing I ALWAYS  get that message block about website is busy, try again. I'll bet I've tried it over a hundred times over the past two weeks or so. I have a feeling that it can't be that busy for that long. Or, maybe I'm just unlucky, or maybe your server is too small to handle the load.
    Needless to say, I am really frustrated with Adobe.
    Again, thank you for your reply, and hopefully my answers will provide a solution.

  • Does camera raw support the Nikon D5300, if not when there will be an update for this camera model?

    Does camera raw support the Nikon D5300, if not when there will be an update for this camera model?

    The asterisk next the model number on the download page linked above means there is preliminary support, which usually means the camera is supported by pretending it is an earlier model with similar sensor.  This can lead to color issues, so while you can convert your NEFs to DNGs with the DNG Converter, and open them with PSE12, now, save your NEFs and be prepared to revisit those pictures once the final release of ACR 8.3 occurs probably in the next few weeks, with finalized support.

  • Does elements 8 support camera raw?

    I am debating whether to upgrade my cs3 photoshop to cs4 or to purchase the less expensive elements 8. My biggest concern is whether or not elements 8 supports camera raw and does it have the same tools within camera raw that cs4 has. I really do not want to break the bank on photoshop cs4 or 5, but don't want to spend the money on elements to later realize that I may want more out of it. I am just a photo enthusiast right now, but plan on expanding my hobby in the near future.

    Hi,
    Yes, you would have Camera RAW in PSE 8 with all basic edits. Some options would not be available which are there in Photoshop howver.
    You can try using a trial version of Elements 8 to decide if the options are of good use to you.

  • Tether support for Nikon D7000

    When will this support be available?

    Yes, this would be very useful to know - it was acknowledged as a gap in LR3.3.  I'm stuck in the middle - my D200 isn't supported, and my D7000 isn't supported.
    I have the choice of spending too darned much money on Nikon Capture 2; I'll do that, but it adds more software in the way, and if I don't need to go that route I'd appreciate not having to - but I can't make that decision without a sense of whether this is a priority for Adobe.
    Can we get some clarity here, please?  It doesn't show up on the RC notes for 3.4, but one can always hope?
    Tom

  • I have Elements 9 and bought a new Nikon D7000 camera.

    I took pictures in Raw and JPeg and the Element reads the JPeg, but won't read the the Raw files so I can process the pictures.  Why oh why is this\?  When I had a D200 camera all was good.  How can I process my RAW pictures without buying something else?

    First try to update your PSE by going to:
    Help >> Updates;
    Now this may or may not fix the problem because there may not be any new updates.  Now second best thing is to use Adobe DNG converter.  The latest version is 8.1 and the relevant links are here:
    Windows:
    <http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=106&platform=Windows>
    You also need to view this video to learn how to use the DNG converter:
    <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0bqGovpuihw>
    The third option is to use the software that must have come with your camera.  I can't help you with this because I know very little about your camera.
