  • Does java card support PIN encryption on APDU Verify Command???

    hello
I want to know if java card allows PIN encryption in the APDU verify command? because such an action necessits that a section key has to be set between the server (SC applet) and the client application.
    thanks a lot

Many Java cards support the GlobalPlatform Open Platform specification
which can be downloaded for free from http://www.globalplatform.org .
This specification contains a mechanism called "secure messaging".
All APDUs sent to applications or the cardmanager and the corresonding
responses can be enrypted when using secure messaging.
In order to use secure messaging a "mutual authentication" is necessary
where the off-card entity authenticates itself to an application,
e.g. the card manager, and the application authenticates itself to the
    off-card entity.
Naturally, this involves static keys on/off-card and session keys.

  • Does java card supports apple OS X ?

    Hi Folk,
I'm trying to test java card on my os x snow leopard . is the current release of java card 3 supports apple ? and if not , are they planing to support mac os x ? was trying netbean's plugin with the emulator but seems that it's not working ..
Any help would be highly appreciated .
    Thanks in advance .

    Hi,
Firstly, you should not be looking for the latest release of the JCDK from the Oracle website. You should be looking for a JCDK that matches cards you have access to. There are no JC3 cards available on the market so a more realistic approach is to go for JC 2.2.1 or 2.2.2. These older versions also have a Java card emulator. This is quite limited though compared to the native version.
As for OS X support, many of the tools will work as they are written in Java. The main one that does not is CREF (the card emulator). There is JCWDE in older releases that should work. You may need to use a real card to test your applet completely as not many tools work with OS X. You will even need to recompile GPShell to get it to work. You will be able to develop an applet and convert it to CAP files. As long as you can get GPShell working you can then load onto a real card.
Also there is at least one issue with the javax.smartcardio.* package on the Apple JDK. CardTerminal.isCardPresent() always returns false regardless of if there is a card or not. The PC/SC layer seems to work fine but the JDK does not. I have filled a bug report with Apple but they don't seem to care or even respond (I filled that within a week of Snow Leopard being released).
Another option is Virtual Box or VMWare Fusion and run Windows or Linux in a VM. VirtualBox + Linux is a free alternative that may work.
    Cheers,
    Shane

  • Does DPT card support normal POS interface.

we have a DPT ring , router is GSR12016, DPT card is 1-Port OC-48c/STM-16c long-reach/OC48/SRP-LR-SC-B=.
recently we want to remove the ring,we want to reuse this DPT card, but we don't have enough DPT card, we have normal POS (SDH)card, can we connect this DPT card to normal POS card(don't support DPT ring).
    Thank you!
    Tom

POS and DPT work in different way so cannot connect a DPT card to POS card which doesnot support DPT.

  • Does NI cards support HP VEE Pro 6.0 interfaces on a HP-UX 10.2 platform.

Is it possible to use a EISA-GPIB card to interface a HP 8753ES network analyzer
with HP/Agilent VEE Pro 6.0 software running on a HP-UX 10.2 platform. If so where can I find the driver..

    Hello,
The EISA-GPIB board is not supported by the GPIB driver for HP-UX platforms; however, the GPIB-HP700-EISA board is. See the National Instruments Online Catalog for more information about this board. Here is a direct link: http://sine.ni.com/apps/we/nioc.vp?lang=US&pc=mn&cid=1248
The GPIB driver for the GPIB-HP700-EISA board is available from the GPIB Support section of the National Instruments site. See the Current GPIB Driver Versions page at http://www.ni.com/support/gpib/versions.htm for a download link.
As for support for this GPIB hardware by HP VEE, check out the VEE Pro 6.0 page on the HP/Agilent site at http://www.hp.com/go/hpvee for more information. I visited that site before writing this, but I could not immediately find a tech note about t
    his topic.
FYI, the National Instruments KnowledgeBase has some articles on using National Instruments GPIB hardware with HP VEE, but they are for earlier versions of the HP VEE software. Still, you may find them helpful. To find them, go to the main KnowledgeBase page at http://www.ni.com/public and do a search with the following keywords: "+vee +gpib" (the plus signs limit the search to only those documents that contain the words "vee" and "gpib").
    I hope this helps,

  • Does Air 350 PC card support WPAPSK??

I've got a Air-PCM352 card on my laptop.
It works great w/ WEP, but when I try to make it work w/ WPAPSK w/ either TKIP or AES, I don't get any option for WPA at all.
I'm using Aironet Client Utility v5.01.
Does this card support WPA? If so, how can I get it to work?
350 series are discontinued and I can't find a driver download site for it.

    AIR-PCM352 supports WPAPSK/TKIP
It may be EOL, but it doesn't mean it is EOS.
You should be able to get latest Rev at:
    http://tools.cisco.com/support/downloads/go/Platform.x?softwareType=Aironet%20Client%20Bundle%20(Firmware,%20Driver,%20Utility)
    For XP Exmaple:
PCM, LMC, PCI Client Adapter firmware 4.25.30, Windows XP NDIS driver 8.2.3, ACU 5.05.001
If you have problems getting the file, I'd suggest opening a TAc case (have your NIC's SN handy).

  • Does Logic 9 Support FCP Capture Cards?

Does Logic 9 support FCP video capture cards for audio in an out?
I have a Blackmagic Decklink Extreme, analog ins/outs as well as digital AES/EBU
Didn't have much luck with Logic 8 and the FCP cards so I used my Line 6 GuitarPort but it only has one 1/4" phono input.
    FutureX

    Hi FutureX,
I would suggest you ask your question on the FCP forum if you don't get any reply here. Maybe you'll find someone there who can be of help. In any event, i doubt that buying an MBox with PT LE will meet your requirement for FCP capture cards, really!
Apple won't respond to you here. That's not the place. This is a user forum. You could also call a production studio in your area and ask politely to a pro who's working with that stuff on a daily basis. I'm sure you can find someone. Good luck...

  • Does ACR1281U-C1 cards support Java Card?

I just got my self an ACS Card reader for ACR1281U-C1 cards, but I don't know how to install my cap file onto the cards. I've read the documentations, but failed to find any hints. Does this cards even support Java Card?

    What about
    - telling if the cards have contacts or not;
    - posting the ATR that the reader gives for the card, in contact and contactless mode as applicable?
The later could be interpreted according to the info in the spec, circa page 33.

  • Does the 27" iMac wireless card support 802.11a and n

does the iMac support the 5 GHz wifi format?  How about the N spec?

    I'm sorry but I don't understand this:
the unit supports 802.11a channels but it doesn't pick up anything.
Are you saying the iMac cannot connect wirelessly? And why would you be concerned that the very old 'a' standard may not be picked up? The latest standard is 802.11n, not a.

So, is the iMac working wirelessly or not?

  • Does orig. Airport card support WPA/WPA2?

Can a Mac equipped with an original Airport card (802.11b) connect to a WPA- or WPA2-protected network via a third-party router? (Any router — my question doesn't concern a particular router, but is more general in nature.) If so, are there minimum OS or other software version requirements for WPA/WPA2 support with the old card? Is there an Apple article that specifies the relevant requirements and procedures? My repeated searches for one have been fruitless, and this question comes up regularly in some forums I monitor daily where I'd like to be able to answer it confidently.

A Mac equipped with an original Airport card supports only WPA, not WPA2.
Verification of the fact that the original Airport card supports WPA is found at:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=107795
A Mac equipped with an Airport Extreme card (or newer) is required for WPA2 support.
I don't know of a Knowledgebase article that specifically states an Airport Extreme card is required for WPA2 support. However, that requirement is clearly stated in the older versions of Airport update software that added WPA2 support to OS X. See for example:

I did this years ago when I had a PM6500 running 8.6 & added a USB PCI card, but know I didn't have the problem you are having.
When I downloaded from the link you provided, I got this file USBCard_Support1.4.1.smi.bin. After using Stuffit Expander, I got this file +USB Card Support 1.4.1.smi+, which is the installer. I don't have a Mac running 8.6, so I can't try the install.
Suggest you do this. Put the smi.bin file in a folder on your desktop & then uncompress using Stuffit. This will yeild the .sim file. Then double click the .sim file. Did you get the message "+Please insert the disc: USB Adapter Card Support+" when you double clicked the .sim file? Or some other file?
When you downloaded the smi.bin file did you use a Mac or a PC & then put on a Zip disc? What computer did you use to uncompress to get the .sim file?

  • Does the WRT310N support jumbo frames?

    Greetings one and all.
Does anyone know if the WRT310N Wireless-N Gigabit Router support jumbo frames?  I have a Buffalo Linkstation Mini NAS that contains a Gigabit Ethernet card.  The NAS can support jumbo frames provided the switch it's connected to has the capability.
    Thanks

I did a live sesion with the tech support desk
The WRT320N does have hardware support for Jumbo Frames.
Only on the Firmware (Software Side) it's not enabled yet what can easy be done by the Linksys/Cisco development team.

Why does the Malaysian Nokia website say that a 6300 supports wma when the uk one says it doesn't?
Nokia Music Manager doesn't have support for WMA. So how then do you copy wma music to the phone?
My version of Nokia Music Manager has an option to search my PC for music, but doesn't find anything! I have some MP3 and mostly WMA. With MP3 selected it still doesn't find anything.
My experience with Nokia Suite over the past 6 years is less than favourable. Any free alternatives out there?
Do I have to get a Micro SD to SD converter and copy the files to the Micro SD card to get it to work?
Software supplied is not exactly slick!

  • Does Premiere Pro support a "self-record" mode?

Does Premiere Pro support a "self-record" mode? It would record a new video with the source being what you are previewing, in terms of "animation" rather than in terms of the quality seen on screen. I often like to make humorous effects by dragging the time indicator back and forth, and have to resort to recording my own screen while in semi-fullscreen mode, then import that video and crop out the chrome. This obviously is not optimal and results in significant quality loss. Does Pr itself have such a feature built in?
I doubt it does, but it would be extremely useful.

Ditto what mark said. The intended purpose of the project manager is basically to do just as you said. It was a great solution for anyone that wanted to store the few usable minutes of their media and were confident in just discarding the rest. The problem is that, as Mark said, it doesn't handle the trimming of all common file types these days. That's because, in video, 'destructive' editing is always a matter of re-exporting edited versions and project manage simply cannot export every format to any format. The original files are never actually being trimmed down, you're just getting new versions to replace the old ones with. This represents another drawback in the form of generational loss. That's why the Project Trimmer many not be the ideal solution for you even if it is able to trim all applicable formats for you.
I tend to agree with Jim and thing that the better way to go is with Prelude. With that app, you can log what you want before hand and then capture (or, more accurately, 'Ingest') just those parts from the start. Still, it might be a good idea to save the original footage on memory card(s), hard drive(s)s (or , dare I say, tape(s_?). That way if you find out later that you didn't capture (or ingest) all of what you wanted, you can always go back and get it. Also you'll have an additional backup which could easily be re-captured from the original source if you've save the prelude project(s).
