Does facetime only use email on ipad mini?

If so, when I put in my email, it doesn't verify.  I have cellular with the ipad. It has a phone number. Do I use that. How do I enter that? All I see is my iphone number and no way to change it.

I use my Apple ID email address and that should work for you as well, do you get an error message when trying to verify the email address?
Turn off FaceTime and sign out of your Apple ID. Restart your iPad, turn FaceTime on again, sign in and then see if you can verify the email address. Your Apple ID email address should be verified with no problems at all.

  • Why does facetime only use a wireless network; isn't 3G the same thing?

I thought buying an iPad2 with wifi+3g would give me constant internet time.  Why does facetime only work with a wifi network?  Shouldn't the 3G "kick in" if there is no WiFi around?
My other problem is in the Photo's section: I've looked at the tutorials and read the sections on photo's in the ipad manual and I still cannot figure out how to label an album?
Any help in both of these areas would be greatly appreciated...Thank You!!
    Paul J.

    Yes.
Photos in the iPad's Camera Roll should be imported by your computer as with any other digital camera. These photos are included with the iPad's backup which is updated by iTunes as the first step during the iTunes sync process, but if these photos aren't imported by your computer and a problem develops with your iPad's backup in regards to this data and you restore your iPad with iTunes if wanted or needed, kiss these photos goodbye. The same if your iPad is lost or stolen and not replaced with another.
As with any other photos on your computer that are organized by events or albums selected to be transferred to your iPad, import these photos with your computer and organize the imported photos in the same way you organize any other photos imported from a digital camera, etc. Select the albums under the Photos tab for your iPad sync preferences followed by a sync.
This way you have the photos available on your computer's hard drive for access there as well along with being organized as you prefer, and which can be included with your computer's backup along with all other data.

  • IMessage will now only use email on iPad

When I got my iPad mini I also had an iPhone 4. I was able to set up the iPad so that I could send and receive text messages (imessage) from my iPhone number with the iPad. I have since upgraded to an iPhone 5C and ever since I can only send and receive iMessages from my iPad with an email address not my mobile number.
Does anyone know how I can fix this?
    Andy.

Sign out of iMessage on both devices. Sign back in on your iPhone. Wait until the activation completes. Then, sign back into iMessage on your iPad using the same Apple ID.

  • Why when I send a picture from my I phone to my email address does it only go to my iPad?

Why when I send a picture from my iPhone to my email address does it only go to my iPad and not my home computer?

Are you using the "Mail" app and not the "iMessage" application?
iMessage as sberman stated is a mac only application. Mail however will send an email and not just a message. Your iPad may have your email attached as your iMessage name, so be careful that you don't get the two applications confused because one is universal and one is not.
    Hope this helps!

You have to set up the email account using IMAP instead of POP.
What type of email address is it? Yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc?

  • Cannot view embedded images in emails with iPad mini

Hi there - I can't view embedded images in emails with iPad mini. Any reason why?
    Can anyone help?

I am having the same problem + I cannot download pdf attachment effectively.
This all happened after I upgraded the iOS to 7.x.  In iOS 6.x, everything was working fine. I was able to see all the images in the email and, when I clicked on the pdf attachment, it would ask me if I want to save the pdf file to iBook.  Right now, I cannot have either ones working.
    I am using iPad 2.

I have just purchased a lightning to 30 pin adaptor to use on an iPad mini and a gen5 iPod touch both devices are running iOS 8.1.3 and come up with The error message "this accessory is not supported by this device "
THis is means they are not charging on a 30 pin cable and the touch won't work in my Apple iPod dock - no audio out or charge. Have re powered both devices to no avail am wondering if the iOS version is the problem
    Help!

If it is a lightning to 30 pin adaptor, and you have a 7th Generation Nano it has to fit the Nano.
This is lightning to 30 pin adapter: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Apple%26%23174%3B---Lightning-to-30-Pin-Adapter/6651 936.p?id=1218803450821&skuId=6651936#tab=overview
    Is this what you bought?
You need to contact Sony and see if they model you have is compatible with the docking adapter. It may not be.

I think it must stand for "made of money" because this 4th generation ipad model 1460 is the most expensive.
