Does Facetime work from USA to Europe

Trying to get Facetime to connect from Ireland to the US on a Mac Book pro.  Both ends are on the internet.

Joe,
Ireland to the US should not be a problem.  Make sure that both devices are setup for the proper time zone that they are in.  If they are not, then Facetime will not connect.  As I've posted before, I think it has something to do with the Facetime routers that are selected to handle the call.

For a Mac running 10.6.8 you must install "FaceTime for iMac" from the App Store. The price is 99cents US.

I downloaded the newest version of firefox today 8/16/11 and now I cannot use Evernote (nor does clipmarks work from before) this is unacceptable. How do I return to the earlier version of firefox? If there is no way to do this, then I will have to use internet explorer so I hope you can help me with this. Thank You, Carol Roberts

Until Evernote updates their add-on to mark it compatible with Firefox 6, you can use the [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/add-on-compatibility-reporter/ Add-on Compatibility Reporter] to try re-enabling it yourself.
You can also downgrade to a previous version of Firefox from [https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/ this archive], but please be warned that some old versions of Firefox have known security bugs that are fixed in later versions. • Error: ELM does not work from UI

    Hello guru´s,
hard to explain this briefly, but here it goes.
We´re trying to upload an ELM from UI, and it doesn´t work. But the thing is, if you just SAVE from UI (not launch), and then you go to CRMD_MKTLIST and you flag required fields, it works. But obviously, we need to do that from UI.
Besides this, we´ve implemented a Badi CRM_MKTLIST_BADI for a specific format but it´s never called from UI; however, if we simulate the execution from SAP GUI, this BADI works correctly.
    Thanks in advance.

SunSudio Express (December 2006 release) introduces some
interesting new features, but there are still problems. For the first time,
I was able to debug Fortran 90 applications in Linux, but debugging is
still very limited. This is good to know that you were able to debug a f90 application
on Linux. What problems do you see? Please, report them, and we
will file them as bugs or RFEs (requests for enhancements).
Furthermore, the Fortran error parser does not work, even when
compiling using Sun's f95 compiler. Yes, you are right, this feature does not work yet.
This is a heavy disadvantage. I assume that Fortran error parsing
is not supported on Linux, although the tutorials don't make this
point clear: Yes, it does not work yet on all platforms.
In the Options window, there are settings concerning C/C++ (and
its parser), but there are no similar options for the Fortran parser,
even in "Advanced Settings" (which are similar to the old Options
window). There will be similar options for Fortran.
My Linux system is Debian 3.1 (Sarge), with JDK 1.5.0.09.JDK 1.5.0.09 is ok.
We do not target Debian system, but we assume everything
should work there (we test on Red Hat and SUSE).
Good to know that our assumption is correct :-)
I don't think that I'm doing something wrong, but I want to ask, just
to be sure: has someone had seen the Fortran error parser working
on Linux? No. It does not work on Linux, and it does not work on other platforms.
What about Fortran word completion? No, this feature is not implemented yet.
Thanks you for trying Sun Studio 12 Express release and for your report.

  • Magic mouse forward backward swiping does not work from time to time

    Hello...
from time to time the forward/backward swiping functionality of my magic mouse does not work (The scrolling works though). Disconnecting and reconnecting does not do the trick. So I guess it might be a software problem. Restarting the iMac does not always help at once. After a couple of times it will work though again.
    Can anyone help?

When you are shopping for your iPod touch, you may want to ask the retailer if he can guarantee that FaceTime will work for you.
    According to info here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4319
FaceTime may not be available in all countries or regions.
Even it FaceTime works in one part of the country, it cannot work where adequate wi-fi coverage does not exist.

  • Everything works fine, my wifi connection but suddenly  in upper left corner sign "no service"appeared.  But connection works to Internet, anyway. (I changed location recently from USA to Europe.

Corner sign  No service appeared. What that's mean?   I am connected , recently changed locations.

Do you have a 3G/4g iPad?
I believe the no service warning is the iPad telling you you are not connected to a cell network.
    Turn off mobile data.

  • From USA to Europe

I buyed an Airport Express in USA to extend my wifi at home in Italy. But selecting countries ITA is not one listed so the base refuse to extend wifi . Where can I get correct software or how to fix the problem?

    Fred,
Keep in mind that besides the voltage, the frequency is also different in Europe -- 50Hz there, 60Hz here in the States. My iMac is newer than yours, but it has the electrical info printed on the back of the display -- check yours to see if it is there too. I believe it's required by international law to have this info visible on all electrical appliances.
I am not sure how computers differ from other appliances in this regard, but I do know that electrical alarm clocks, for example, use the electrical current's frequency to keep the time. My European alarm clock did work in the U.S. on a voltage converter, but the time was WAY off -- like ten minutes every hour. It would stink if that happened with your mac. Please check this too.
That said, if it turns out to be simply a matter of converting the voltage, then I don't think you need a step-down converter with such high wattage (750W). Since converters get more expensive (and bigger) as the wattage goes up, you would be well-advised to not go too much higher than what you actually need. According to the Apple site, the new iMacs have a maximum continuous power of 180W. Getting a 200W converter would be cutting it a little close, but 300W should be more than plenty. Just don't plug your toaster in there too... (Tip: anything that generates serious heat, like coffee makers and toasters, requires a high wattage converter.)
However, if you have peripheral devices (external hard drive or whatever) that you also want to plug in to your power strip, you may need to go higher. And do get the converter before you go; you'll have much more choice at much better prices here. I used www.voltageconverters.com and was happy with their service.
    Hope this helps.

I would strongly suggest that the reports development team's idea to contact Support on this is a flawed one. I had very similar issues with my reports builder except that the Dr. Watson happened every where (even while just invoking reports builder) - opening the layout editor when graphics were involved, running the report, using the chart wizard, etc.
I opened a TAR on this with Support. Their response? We can't reproduce it on our computer so bad luck and good bye.
All I ask is that the reports team give us something to be able to provide some kind of function call trace information when the Dr. Watson does occur.
I use patchset 5a. Also, btw, I tried to run a report with graphics on Solaris from the builder and guess what? It core-dumped. Any way to send you guys trace files from there atleast?
Calling support is not an acceptable solution.
    Thanks,

I would like to purchase the new iLife software and would like to know if there is a difference between what I buy in Europe vs the USA. I know for example that nintendo games are region coded and it makes a difference where the main system is from....is the same true with mac software?
