Does FC Server work with Express?

I work in a high school and we are thinking about using this for our 3 broadcast classes, but I wanted to know if this works with Final Cut Express? Also, I'd run it on a Dual 2 GHz Power PC G5 Tower with 2 Gb of Ram, any major concerns? I know more Ram is always good, but in this configuration what kind of problems would I encounter. We are talking no more then 50 users total and no more then 30 would possibly have access at any one time. Any advice would be greatly appreciated and being we are a school, money is a concern, not sure how much, if any we have to put towards hardware upgrades to make this happen, but we would purchase an external HD.

As far as I know, FCE works well with FCSvr:
I have FCSvr 1.5.1 and FCE 4.0.1. I am able to upload an FCE project and the server automatically uploads all linked media used by the project, creating its browse proxies, as it does with Final Cut Pro. I was also able to successfully check-out, work with, and check-in the FCE project.
The only task that didn't work was Proxy Editing. With Edit Proxies turned on in FCSvr, it generates the edit proxies besides the browse proxies. But once you check the project out using Edit Proxies instead of the original media, FCE will open the project and show the media as offline. I tried changing the Edit Proxy analyze preference to use a codec compatible with FCE, like AIC, but that didn't work too. Probably, FCSvr is not capable of editing the files' links inside an FCE project document, as it does with FCP projects.
Anyway, FCE projects worked for all other tasks. And, as FCE only works with already very compressed formats, as HDV and AVCHD in the HD realm, for example, why would we need to create edit proxies anyway?

I'm very new at this and don't really understand :
if you've enabled SWF verification on the FMS side, and made an exception for the FMLe user-agent,
I haven't done anything as far as setting other verifications, etc. This is just a default install of the FMS 3.5 Developers version.
But I have tried all 3 user agents, still, none can connect. I still keep getting the "Can't publish stream... check credentials/tokens" error message 4020.
Any other thoughts/ideas?

i don't think many people have tested these cards, theortically it should support them, but not at the full speed. Since the ExpressCard slot is 1.0 standard.

Yes, I have both the 1G and 2G ATVs working off a 5 GHz n only network. Since the 2.4 GHz band can be set up to be backwards compatible with b/g networks it will work here too.
I use an Apple Time Capsule to create a dual band network. Running my ATVs and Airport Expresses on the 5 GHz band improved streaming and AirPlay speaker reliability substantially in my location. I suspected interference from my neighbor's networks as well as other 2.4 GHz sources. I had to create the 2.4 GHz network for my 1G touch and an older laptop to work which don't need as reliable of a network connection.

Now with that said, regardless of 2010 vs. 2013, you can NOT mix 32-bit or 64-bit versions of Office.
For example, lets say I installed Office 2010 SP2 64-bit

I then want to install Visio 2013 32-bit, the install will not work.
You cant mix 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Office Products.

Above article is dependent on Full Office being installed... You can also query the DisplayName REG_SZ key as well, it will report back the Office version.
Registry Location:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall
Look for the Office GUID in my example for 2010 64-bit SP2....
Now with the above said, below are notes from one of our desktop support techs in regards to issues we have seen internally running Office 2010 32-bit SP1 and SP2 on Win 7 x64 Enterprise with Visio 2013.....

The first instance today: User sends corporate communications from word using the send to mail recipient feature. After visio 2013 installed, he received a message stating that word could not communicate with outlook, to either repair office or check the
server. Office was repaired, new outlook profile created. After research, discovered the office is sensitive to various versions in regards to interops. Discovered that Visio 2013 was installed around the time user experienced issues. After uninstalling visio,
when launching word it began to configure (like for a first time install), the send mail to recipient feature began working. This probably will affect anyone with visio 2013. Visio 2010 was not reinstalled afterwards, as user barely uses it and was hesitant.
Installation files are still on his machine in the event that he does need it reinstalled. Office version is 14.0.7109.5000 User is on Office 2010 SP2
The second instance today: Teammate stopped working 3 weeks ago according to user. After working through several support groups here and working with the vendor support, the vendor noted that some dll’s from the application were not registered. If that didn’t
fix it they suggested a reimage. After registering the dll’s, issue persisted. After further troubleshooting, determine that the feature that did not work for user consisted of teammate downloading information from a system, parsing it, then outputting it
to a word document. The application provided no error of any sort, it just would never get to the word document portion. Discovered that Visio 2013 was installed around the time that the issue occurred, and that the issue appeared to be related to office interops.
I uninstalled Visio 2013 and it began working as designed. In both cases Visio 2013 had been installed on 11/25/2014 (I didn’t see any corporate communication about an upgrade, but maybe one took place?). Office version is 14.0.7109.5000 User is on Office

I’m not sure if you have much experience with interops, but pretty much anytime you want to communicate with a different office application, that is how it is done. Per my reading through various Microsoft KB’s and support forums, different version interops
do not play well together always. It appears that these applications are trying to communicate to office 2010 (v 14) using 2013 (v15) interops, only after installing visio 2013 professional. Users were both Windows 7 x64. We also had a group of several users
who also ran into issues with sharepoint not working in any browser, turned out the problem was Visio 2013 was well....
Feel free to research more, but my own research comes down with having both 2010 and 2013 interops on the machine. To simplify it, the applications and office apps are being told to communicate using office 2013, and but only listen in 2010, causing problems.
Its not causing problems with every simple interop, or we would see it far more widespread, but we are going to continue to see the “ghost” issues where Visio 2013 is the root cause, but nothing is really going to scream it.

Minimum requirements means that you have to have these as the minimum configuration to install the Adobe Products . You can surely go ahead and install the product on a windows 8 PC and it should work fine.

I have a Phillips tv and there is no hdmi to hdmi connection. But there is a VGA 15 input. Does apple tv work with it? I seem to be getting a black screen.

I tried hard. Four different manufacturers, including Belkin, none of HDMI to VGA works with rMBP. However, all of them work with other sources, like Dell notebook.
HDMI directly from rMBP to HDMI intput works fine.

INNER JOIN syntax is introduced in 9i, it does not exists in 8i. You can rewrite your statement:

Windows 7, 64 bit, Home Premium was clean installed. I had no difficulty reinstalling Dreamweaver CS3, but when I try to open a file I get a message that says." A problem has caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available." Apparently none is. So my question is, does Dreamweaver CS3 work with the 64 bit version of Windows 7? If not, does CS4 work or would I be wasting money by upgrading?

I just installed it and ran it fine. I have Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit
Make sure it is a clean install from a fresh "boot". I ran into problems the first time when I tried to install it right after I installed another program. I simply uninstalled it.....which took a long long time, but after it was removed and I rebooted, everything went fine.
