Does FICO Score matter more than Credit Problems?

 As some of you may know I've been looking to trade-in my six month old Hyundai Accent. My pulled score (FICO Experian Auto 8) is now 649. It will go back up once new credit card balances are reported, right now it's 96%, it will be down to 8-9% by the middle of the month.  I still have one charge-off ($434), one open collection ($407) and a repo (that isn't true but whatever) from 2009. I also have some school loan lates from 2009; but nobody has mentioned that being a problem. One dealer in particular believed that the repo was serious despite it being almost seven years ago and had me write a note to the underwriter explaining what happen. I didn't even have to do this when I bought the Hyundai, I find this bizarre and possibly racial motivated.   I based that on some recent articles and also on Honda's recent fine of $25 Million for predatory lending practices on women and minorities.  Whenever I am face to face with a dealer negotiations start at MSRP. One dealer in-fact begged me to come to his store and he would sell to me way under invoice. When I got there, he claimed to have a problem with his system and could only pull TU which is my second highest score at 589. He demaned I pay MSRP for the car and to put $3,000 down as he couldn't push it through Ford he would have to use CPS or something.  This is on the back of when I bought the Hyundai I was initally told I would be approved by Hyundai but then was told I was approved only by Gateway One, when it turns out Hyundai would have accepted the deal if I could verify some information as I've had problems with my TU (listed as deceased).  I was hoping to take advantage of Hyundai's 90 days no payment (yes I know you still pay interest...) which would have allowed me to start my emergency fund for one thing.  I am almost out of this hole, my repo drops off in July 2016 and I will try to get it to come off sooner sometime after the first of the year. I could also offer First Premier PFD but I heard that it won't be accepted. Midland says it won't PFD when it has for some people.  So basically I am at where I am at. My score will continue to improve as I keep utilization down and keep paying on-time.   Will having a 670 Fico (660 Fico Auto 8) matter more in credit decisions than old negative information? Experian will get there first, I don't know whats holding back TU and EQ, there's less information on there, especially EQ but lower scores.

If they try to roll ANY of your Hyundai into a new loan your Loan To Value ratio will be shot, and don't forget on a more expensive car taxes are higher, and that is not part of your value either, just loan. Once you get to 100% and over LTV, they look for more solid credit profiles.  Point being, it's pretty complex, repos really mess that up (I know from experience). Just wait until it's gone, it will change the game,   Current interest rate is 18.65%  I've made all the payments on-time, of course I am under water. but.... Because my plates/fees and sales tax were not rolled into the loan like it typically is, I owe less than most people do in a similar situation. If I get fair market value for the car, it owe just over $3,000 of negative balance.  Nobody asked for income verification accept on the credit app I did online; I didn't submit pay stubs or anything else.  I know there are tiers to lending, reportedly I was Tier 4 asking for $30,000+. Whenever I asked what sort of downpayment they wanted, one dealer said about $6,000; DING, DING, DING, DING! Further investigation the same dealer said about $26,000 OTD.  So now we're in his life or death struggle -
 I want highest trade value and the lowest price. Most dealers just won't walk the plank for that; maybe if I catch a few at the end of the month as they aren't meeting sales targets, it's possible they'll take that lost but most of the time....  I got a letter from Ford Credit late last week, they denied me but didn't say why. This was interesting, so I called Ford Credit today and they are going to send me a letter stating why. The lady on the phone said usually these types of denials are conditional, IE the deal needs to be constructed a certain way, down or less money/less car, etc. This further cements that Ford feels most comfortable at $26,000.
 Any more than that I have to start putting down money. I am trying to avoid that for various reasons. I know Ford pulls EX which happens to me my highest score, it peaked at 657 (Auto 8 654) at the start of his mess which is a bit complicated. Above I mentioned I wasn't charged taxes or license fees up front. I paid those later, in fact I spent the last month paying those ($1878) including a smog test.  So while most of you pay over time. I paid mine up front....  The byproduct of that was constantly using my credit cards, they are all maxed out now. I will spend the rest of August paying those down to 8-9% not a big deal.  My current LTV is 89%.... I have checked LTV at various times, its under 100%. My payment is about 22% of income and I can easily afford it even with the elevated interest rate.  I don't mind rolling the negative I have other things I wanna do with my cash. I've done the math, I can get what I want and still have roughly the same payment.  WIth all the incentives I can get, even the optional ones, it's knocking another $2,500 off the price and that's if I don't take Ford financing. if I do, that's an additional $750 for $3250  When my credit cards update and depending on what that Ford Credit letter says will determine what and when I try this again. I can really use the 90 day payment delay they are offering right now. 
 My EX Score should hit 660-670 with ease with the balances below 9%   Waiting until it's gone (Repo) won't make much difference, no changes for the 2016 except Sync 3 and Google Auto. The updates come for the '15 model year (suspension tweaks, electric power steering tweaks and minor sheet metal changes with new tail lights). I also won't spend much more than what's being bandied about now.

    A Cloud subscription provides for installing working installations on two machines.  You can have mixed operating systems (both Windows and Apple's OX).

    Hi,
    I upload a video file to a new Asset. I then attempt to create a streaming URL by creating an Access Policy and then a Locator, which I use to generate the URL used for streaming.This works great. Until the 6th time you execute
    that code against the same Asset. Then you receive this error:
    "Server does not support setting more than 5 shared access policy identifiers on a single container."
    So, that's fine. I don't need to create a new AccessPolicy everytime, I can reuse the one I've created previously, build a Locator using that same policy. However, even then, I get the error about 5 shared access policies on a single container.
    Is this the Lmitation of media service? or am I missing something?

    Credit Karma lists my updated TU score at 644 (uses fico 04? or some other scoring model?)My fico report list my updated TU score at 666 (uses fico 08?)And report from TU own webpage lists my score at 724 (which I believe is the vantage score) Which one do you think would be the most accurate?  I know my lender pulled score will be lower so not sure if I should ask him to pull yet or not as I have to be at least 620 on his pull and the end of August pull was only 613 I am good to go on EQ and EX so only waiting for TU to come up before I ask him to do the tri merge pull again.thanks

  • Transunion & Equifax Credit Scores Dropped more than 20 pts!!!

    I check my husbands credit score once a week (Credit Karma updates weekly).  His scores have been between 525 and 540 on both with Transunion being the highest.  For the past 2 weeks they have gone down!  Equifax is now 499 and Transunion is 468!!
    There's nothing new that I can see, does anyone know the reason this can happen??  He has a few collections, nothing new was added.  The collection agencies report monthly. PRA only reported to Transunion for June!

    CK is basically worthless when it comes to gaining an 'accurate' overall snapshot of your credit profile and score. It always shows that one of my new auto loans has been deleted from the report, yet all of my credit reports (including CK report) show it is still there.My TU FICO8 is 757, no baddies at all, and yet CK shows my score to be 617 (no baddies, everything exactly as the TU site and MyFico reports). Also, I almost didn't apply for a LOWEs card because it showed that I had a poor chance of being approved.  I did it anyway and have a $10K SL. It's great for notifications, I get them almost immediately and it's great to review and if anything seems inaccurate, you can pull the actual report, but other wise, Ck is for entertainment, IMHO

  • Apex 4.0 tree does not work with more than 2 levels.

    When I have more than 2 levels in my tree, I only see the root node. The query works fine and returns 132 rows when I run it in SQL. It is just the tree that does not work.

    Thanks for posting your example. You may want to remove your workspace details from the previous posting, or at least update the password on the workspace. I've taken a look at your example and initially couldn't see anything wrong with your tree query. However, when I ran your query in SQL Workshop, it only returned one row, which would explain why you were only seeing one node in your tree! I've updated your query to use a WITH clause, and the tree is now working correctly. I believe you've hit an underlying database bug where the CONNECT BY query is only returning 1 row, when in fact it should return > 1 row. By re-writing the query to use a WITH clause, you can get around the problem.

    Yes i confirmed it is listing correct MP and software scan is working fine. we have around 8500 machines connected to that site buy only 3000 machines are having this issue. anyone has faced this issue ?

    I see that Photoshop cc costs $10 per month more than the photography plan, even though the plan includes photoshop cc.  Are the applications different in the two plans?

    The main difference in price between them is because Photoshop CC plan comes with 20GB of online storage space and inclusion Behance ProSite.

    I just wanted to share my discovery
    It seems that X-FI ExtremeGamer does not support more that 32 channels in World of Warcraft, when hardware acceleration is on. (32 cahnnels is one tick up).
    Any higher than that, and i will get no sound at all.
    My old card supported 28 cahnnels (Audigy 2).

    The problem isn't with ALchemy. It's with WoW. We're working with Blizzard on the problem, but it happens in Vista with ALchemy or in Windows XP. Here's the fix:
    . in the audio options, make sure the "Hardware Acceleration" box is checked
    2. move the "hardware voices" slider to one of the first 3 positions from the left and restart the game.
    my suggestion is to start at the third spot from the left and work back.
    Again, we're working with Blizzard on this issue. Thanks for posting about it and hopefully that slider will be working properly soon.

  • Does MacBook Pro need more than 4gb ram to run osx lion?

    Machine is mid 2009, 4gb ram, 2.26 ghz processor.   Since installing the operating system update and updates to iPhoto, most programs take a longer to load than originally.  I have plenty of hard drive space available for virtual memory. 
    I have priced up adding ram, but want to be sure before I spend the money. 

    I think it is safe to say, yes Lion requires more RAM to run and maintain the OS compared to your previous Snow Leopard or Tiger.  But still 2 GB of RAM is advertised as the minimum requirement.

    RAM is considered your best bang for the buck,  if you do decide to upgrade.

  • More than one problem with messages app

    I'm trying to get this Messages app to work properly on my iphone and macbook pro.  I have a few problems that are just very annoying and I can't seem to figure out what I am doing wrong.  I'm sure it is some stupid setting I am overlooking, but I have exhausted my brain for the day. 
    1st problem - I can send and recieve messages on my mac and iphone.  That works fine, but there are no notifications on my mac when I send a message from my iphone.  The message shows up in the app, but it doesn't give me a notification or a badge that there are new messages.  I have it turned on in the settings, but it just won't work...
    2nd problem - My phone is the only one that is working.  My whife has been sending me imessages from the other room for the past hour testing out the app and I get the messages on my phone, but none are showing up on my mac.  I thought they were supposed to go to both?
    I really hope someone can help me here.  I am very frustrated with the whole thing.

    On the iPhone in Settings > Messages > Received At > Caller ID there should be two "IDs"
    One is the iPhone's own number and the other should be the Apple ID.
    If the Apple ID is ticked then iMessages sent from the Phone should sync to the Messages app.
    However incoming iMessages to the iPhone via it's Number will not sync to the Messages app.
    This is apparently coming with the iOS 6 release.
    For the Messages App check System Preferences > Notification and the app name and check if it supposed to be using the Dock badge, make sound or display Notifications (Alerts or Banners)

  • I have more than one problem with my new ThinkPad Twist

    I posted a little over a week ago about the LED indicator on the back of the lid no longer working. Lenovo Customer Service sent me a box in the mail, but I need to find some time off for me to send it in.
    I discovered earlier this afternoon that when I turn the computer screen around and fold it back, the sensor that detects when it is folded back no longer registers this signal to the computer for it to activate autorotate mode. This seems like it's more likely to be a software issue, but I don't have the knowledge to really troubleshoot, so after rebooting and checking for Lenovo updates, I thought I would see if it would resolve itself after a few days.
    Then I found that the volume rocker below the screen doesn't work. But it gets better than that: you can turn the volume up perfectly, but you can't turn it down. Everything about the buttons feels and sounds normal, but it simply doesn't receive that signal. I just don't get it.
    I've had this computer for only a month and a half. I had heard that ThinkPads were pretty decent computers, but for owning it after 4-6 weeks of light-medium duty and having the nifty LED indicator to go out, the automatic auto-rotate trigger to mysteriously stop working, and for this volume button to stop........this looks like a mediocre product to me.
    I've determined that the dysfunctional LED is, in fact, definitively a hardware issue. Is there some way to check on the other two?

    One thought that comes to mind is that XP by default, I think, has the settings for the USB ports to power down when not in use. By "in use" they mean data being transferred, not charging something.
    So first thing to try is go into your control panels, system, hardware, device manager, then open the USB section. Highlight and then right click and each and every USB Root Hub listing you see. Pick properties and go to the Power management tab. Uncheck the box the turns off the USB port power when not in use.
    Now plug you iPod in and see if it charges properly now. If it is very low in power it may not turn on at all for a while (minutes to a half hour) while it trickle charges up to a safe level before powering up again.

    What kind of "extra" VMs are you considering?  Remember that any runs where you change the workload mix will be non-compliant and cannot be used for public disclosure.
