i need to access a government website that requires 128-bit secure sockets layer encryption in my browser. Does firefox 3.6.3 have that feature?

Card company checked browser and did not continue to make the change to paperless, due to the fact that 128 bit security encryption was not found; also read that: you need to update your browser.

There is usually a link on the page to continue anyway and ignore the check for the encryption check.
If websites complain about 128 bit encryption not available then that can be caused by the "U;" that is no longer present in the user agent of Firefox 4+ versions.

In trying to set up an online account, a diagnostic informed me that I should update my browser to accept 128 bit security encryption. How do I accomplish this? I already have Firefox 4.

I can't understand why my browser would not be compatible with 128 bit security encryption. Have set up several other accts with no issues. What are possible problems related to this non-compatibility?

hello, i am planning on getting a new laptop and im very picky as to what i buy.
the MSI CX61 20D-011 pretty much ticks almost all my boxes for it performance to price ratio.
now i need to know what vertion of NVIDIA GeForce GT 740M graphics it has.

as you can see the 740M has 2 different chips a 128 bit one and a 64 bit one.
for me it would be desirable to have the wider bandwidth of the 128 bit one.

2. It's quite normal to use that kind of GDDR3 with entry level gpus and it is meant by Nvidia to be used that way. Using GDDR5 instead is optional and not quite attractive for notebooks of the CX61 price range which aren't meant for gaming.

Firefox 4 is a 32 bit application but it works on 64 bit Windows.

BB Browser Cipher RC4 128 bit Security Concerns

When you check Browserspy from your BlackBerry browser via this link:

Is there a way to change the cipher strength or order for the BlackBerry browser?
(Just as a side note - because BlackBerry uses WebKit for the browser (Apple uses WebKit) a lot of the browser tester sites pick it up as Safari. I woder if browser testing to determine market share doesn't flag some of Blackberry as Apple due to this "confusion.")

Firefox won't open, have run Microsoft Security Essentials & Malwarebytes, nothing coming up.

I have Firefox 18 installed. This is the third time Firefox has stopped opening.
I have run Malwarebytes & Microsoft Security Essentials all three times and each time neither has found any issues. The only thing that has worked has been uninstalling (using Revo Uninstaller) and reinstalling.
It has been working fine for about three weeks, and stopped opening again last night.
Oh, and trying to use the mozilla help screens in Internet Explorer is a nightmare ...
And I tried to use the Troubleshooter below, IE won't let that happen either.

Why does Firefox for Mobile v33+ have admob?

My Android phone's security software keeps blocking updates and uninstalling Firefox becase it detects the admob library. I want to know why Mozilla has been including admob since version 33.0, how it is being used, and wether it will remain part of Firefox in the future.

Why does firefox not shutdown or have so many problems finding google start page

An error notice states (firefox is still running and not responding) on shutdown. Sometimes when I go home I get a message stating

On one laptop I run Vista Home Premium 32 bit and on the netbook I run XP.
When upgrading to Firefox 5, I have found (as I fgound when I upgraded to 3.something from 3.5 - I think - that was the first time I noticed any porbelms at all) that certain websites won't function any more; On the laptop with Vista, Firefox hangs up and won't load any of the Mastercard Secure or Verified by Visa pages nor will it allow me to sign in to my National Lottery account.
Yet I can do all this - using the same broadband connection - on my netbook running XP.
Is there a solution to this apparent conflict with Vista?

Make sure your system software is up to date.
Click the Apple  menu (top left in your screen) then click: Software Update ...
Safari / Preferences - Autofill. Click the Edit button next to: Other forms. Click: Remove All / Done.
Check Safari / Preferences - Extensions. If you have any installed, turn that off, quit then relaunch Safari.
