Does Firefox have a run option to download and install a new Program?

Can I install new program from the Internet onto my PC without having to down load it first to my hard drive and the running the install program? With IE I can just choose run to install a download without having to save it first to my PC like with Firefox.

opendownload does not work with 4.0.1.
do any other add-ons exist that do?

Try updating it on your computer. If you get a message that your iPhone is up to date then you actually have an iPhone 4, not a 4s.
Settings > General > About > Model number. What does it show?

Tap the image and you can select "Save Image" or "Copy".

I have a second hand HP Scanjet 3770 scanner.
After downloading and installing driver there is only 1 icon on my desktop - Image Zone.
There is not icon of HP Director software, neither on desktop nor in C:\Program files\HP folder
Windows XP SP 3 does not recognize HP Scanjet 3770 after downloading and installing driver (Image Zone software)
There is another scanning HP device installed on the same computer - all-in-one HP Photosmart C 4280

Some things that pop in my head- your CD/DVD drive may need cleaning (laser eye). There are discs to do this or you can use a cotton swab sometimes to wipe the laser. OR- the last recovery may have been the last fatal strain on the CD/DVD drive and it is now not functioning. Maybe you could borrow the drive from the other Dv4 and try it- or borrow/buy a USB CD/DVD drive to try.

My updates are failing. Adobe application manager may be damaged. I have downloaded and installed a new copy and the problem persists.   Please help.

I am trying to update Photoshop CS6 in order to read my camera's RAW files. It is a camera that is supported by Adobe Photoshop CS6. So, I have gone to the forums and took the recommended step to update my software manually - getting the update Photoshop_CS6_13_0_6upd-2.dmg. However, this update also fails stating that my Adobe Application Manager may be damages. Download and install a new copy of Adobe Application Manager. Which puts me right back where I started.
I have also taken the step of completely reinstalling Photoshop CS6. This did not solve the problems outlined above.

if that fails, uninstall ps, clean (Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6) and reinstall. then use the manual updates.

The activation servers are probably overloaded with everyone trying to update to iOS 7 today. You might need to wait and try again later.

This morning when I tried to open my CC2014 Photoshop, it started to open, then quit suddenly. Same with Dreamweaver and InDesign. I am a professional and do not have the time to screw around with this. When I tried to run CC app, I get an error that says "Adobe creative cloud is needed to resolve this problem. However, it is missing or damaged. Please download and install a new copy of the Creative Cloud from 'http://www.adobe.com/go/adobecreativecloudapp'." I did so and tried to run the app and got the same error. I tried the cleaner and it removed all of my apps, then I tried to install again, and got the same error. How do I start Firefox 4 from KMenu when I downloaded and installed Firefox4.0.tar.bz2 (only launches from terminal), and 'apt-get' installs Firefox 3.6.15 even though I tried to "--purge" it from Linux?

I downloaded and installed Firefox 4 RC using tar.bz2 so that I could still use Firefox 3.6.15 as per normal, having to start Firefox 4 using the terminal which worked great (except for many videos on different websites). When Firefox 4 was released, I suppose I was in a hurry to get it to work normal from my menu, but it kept saying that 3.6.15 was the latest version (I'll be quite embarrassed if it wasn't available for Linux users - I do love Firefox!). I did something silly, like purge Firefox from my operating system (Kubuntu 10.10) and when I reinstalled it was still 3.6.15 (it wasn't really downloading, but unpacking). Am I in too much of a hurry or is there a fix-it? I can use Firefox 4, but only through the terminal and I suspect it is slower than it should be. I would like only one version now.

First, that cannot be an iBook G4 as that machine cannot run Snow Leopard let alone Mountain Lion. To run Snow Leopard it has to be an Intel processor, not a G4. What does it show as the Model Identifier in About This Mac, More Info, System Report, Hardware, Model Identifier?
Second, if you have erased the hard drive there should not be remnants of any prior content. Even though Disk Warrior is saying nothing is wrong with the hard drive, it sounds as though there are problems. You may want to consider simply replacing the hard drive so there are no questions about faults. A good source is OWC, http://www.macsales.com where they also have on-line videos showing how to do the replacement.
Third, you could also try again to restart using the Snow Leopard DVD/CD and use Disk Utility on that install disk to erase again, and do it a couple times, then try to install. If it continues to refuse, then it sounds as though there is a fault with the hard drive.
