Does Firefox portable (4.0.1) fully support HTML5?

Hello,
I want to create a firefox-based program. For a good look this would require HTML5. Does the newest Version of Firefox support HTML5? To what extent? Is there any good information resource for this?
Thanks!
Markus

Yes, Firefox supports HTML5. See this article for more details: [http://www.h-online.com/open/features/What-s-new-in-Firefox-4-0-1212755.html?page=2 What's new in Firefox 4.0]

  • Does  Mac mini with intel processor fully supports VTX......??

    i think so...

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
The title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select
SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ All Messages
from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
              View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar at the top of the screen. Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Then take one of the actions that you're having trouble with. Select any messages that appear in the Console window. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.
The log contains a vast amount of information, almost all of which is irrelevant to solving any particular problem. When posting a log extract, be selective. A few dozen lines are almost always more than enough.
Please don't indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Please don't post screenshots of log messages—post the text.
Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.

  • Will iOS ever fully support HTML5?

Specifically in terms of audio and video support.
    Autoplay, Looping, Preload...
I've heard rumors that Apple is purposely crippling HTML5 in iOS so that purchased apps will always have an advantage.  I know that the official line is that they don't want to overload users' data usage, but as more and more devices (ie. iPads) are connected exclusively via WiFi, the data usage argument gets weaker and weaker.  How hard would it be for Apple to simply add a preference to Mobile Safari that allows the user to specify whether or not they want AutoPlay (and other media features) enabled?
The ability of HTML5 to deliver "Flash-like" content on an iPad will only be attainable if Apple actually builds a browser that doesn't pick and choose which media features are supported.  Apple is supposed to be one of the great champions of HTML5, but their ongoing denial of key features in HTML5 is beginning to look suspicious.
A standard is supposed to be a standard.
There's a wonderful program for creating HTML5 compliant content call "Hype".  It is a fantastic tool, and I can't wait to see how it evolves.  But I'm primarily interested in using Hype to develop content for iOS devices, and it's frustrating to see the usefulness of Hype significantly diminished simply because of a stubborn and artificial limit imposed by Apple.
End of rant.  Thanks for listening.

Know that HTML5 is, like iOS, a work in progress. As well, know that iOS sits on WebKit for that particular support, so you may be looking in the wrong corner for gremlins.
And finally, know that iOS 5 brings an entirely new WebKit version to the table, meaning that HTML5 is more supported than ever, to the point that Apple may have lessened the need for native apps in the store outright.
Building an up-do-date HTML5 equipped web site means having content ready for iOS and Android, without ever going neer a complicated IDE at all.
    Isn't Apple great

  • Does Firefox fully support Windows 8.1 64-bit?

It appears from the web that the current Firefox browser does not fully support Windows 8.1 64-bit. Is an updated version planned that will fully support Windows 8.1 64-bit, and if so when is the expected release?

the current version is firefox 26 - 27 is going to be released this week. if you download either of those, you'll just get the normal firefox browser on desktop as you're used to. firefox 28 which is also going to be released as beta this week will include a (minimalist) touch-optimized version of firefox for the windows metro ui...

  • Does Firefox 4 support remote Javascript debugger?

I have used ChromeDevTools Eclipse plugin and V8 debugger protocol for remote Javascript debugging with Chrome browser.
Does Firefox 4 support remote Javascript debugger?
If then, is there a client tool like ChromeDevTools plugin?
    Thanks in advance.

Symantec have made an update for their add-ons to work in Firefox 4, but they only listed them as compatible with Firefox 4.0, they need to update them to let them work in Firefox 4.0.1. • Does Firefox 7.o have a supported 64-bit version for Windows 7?

On the system requirements page for Firefox 7.0, I found the following statement: "Please note that while the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows Vista and Windows 7 can be used to run Firefox 6, only 32-bit builds of Firefox 6 are supported. at this time."
I do not understand why Firefox 6 is mentioned on the Firefox 7 system requirements page. I have Windows 7, 64 bit version.
Does Firefox 7.0 have a supported 64 bit version that runs on Windows 7--64 bit version?

Not yet. The web page text is incorrect.

You can open the image file in Firefox via File > Open file or by dragging the file in a Firefox tab, possibly on empty space on the tab bar or the new tab (+) button.
Then you can click the star on the Navigation Toolbar to bookmark the link if that is what you want to achieve.
Click the star a second time to move it to another folder.

  • Does firefox support database storage in javascript

in html5 i can store data in sql lite
    like this
    openDatabase("database name");
    does firefox support this functionality?

I'm not seeing any evidence that device-width is a supported value for the width property, so it is likely that that is the cause of the error message.

  • Does firefox support direct torrent downloads

does firefox support direct torrent downloads? If so what's the secret? If not what's the solution?

Firefox is a web browser not a BitTorrent client.
There are various BitTorrent extensions at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/search/?q=BiTtorrent that works with say a BiiTorrent client or searches for example.

  • Does Firefox for Android Tablet support Flash Player?

I have a Samsung Tablet. I like to play Call of Gods. It requires Flash Player in order to play it. I have found Flash media readers, video players, but not anything to play browser games.
Does Firefox have the Flash Player that I can use to play online games on my Samsung Tablet?

SrazZz is incorrect and also did not give a reason why Flash will would not work.
As of Android 4.1+ one needs Firefox 27.0 or newer in order to run the old Flash 11.1 plugin from Adobe. Mozilla nor the Firefox browser does not make or supply Flash.
There is no guarantee it will work properly or at all on some hardware and cpus. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-watch-flash-videos-firefox-android
