Does Firefox support Shockwave flash add-ons in its android version. If not, then when the same will be made available ?

On android tablet, I need to visit certain websites which require Shockwave flash plug-in to receive web contents created in Adobe Doctor. So, when the same will be made available for your Firefox android version ?

The pre-release version of Firefox on the Aurora channel supports Flash on Android 2.2 and 2.3 devices. (Support for Flash on Android 3 and Android 4 devices is coming in a later release.)
This is a brand new version of Firefox for Android that has many features re-written from scratch. Some things are not working yet. For some details, see this blog post.

• Why does Firefox regularly lose my add-ons and I have to reset and re-install (Download helper, Status-4-evar, Google Lite)

I lose the add-ons when Firefox automatically upgrades to the latest version but this is not the only time. It may work for 5-10 days without a problem then without warning or error, it just losess the add-ons, upgrade or no upgrade. This is most annoying as they will not re-download and re-install and all I can do is reset Firefox then re-customise the browser again to my look and feel, then have to download and re-install these add-ons again. It seems like I am doing this continually over and over again.

Thanks Cor-el but I am with azgirl7 that trying to follow the instructions is not easy. I have had some success by copying all my profiles from C:\Users\Brendan (my name) \AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\profiles to a spare folder I have created. When Firefox updates or changes, I delete the profiles and copy them back from the spare folder. But this does not work every time. All in all, it is very time consuming and one that Mozilla should have an easier method to protect as well restore.

• Firefox removes my adblocker add-ons on its own.

On a roughly-weekly basis, I find that Firefox (ver 33.0.2) has both restarted itself and removed the add-ons AdBlock, AdBlock Plus, and NoScript. While I'd rather it not be restarting itself like that, it's the adblocker removal that I really hate. Is there some way to prevent this? Thanks.

No; I've never heard of avast.

• Why does Firefox check compatiblity of add-ons every time I open it? Why am I then directed to Mozilla home page? Why did you not answer this question the last time I asked it?

This is annoying. Iwant to start using a less troublesome browser but I like Firefox otherwise.

• Why does Firefox 5 open links in a new tab or new window rather than within the same tab? Previous versions opened links in the same tab allowing use of the "back" button on the mouse. Having to close so many tabs and windows is really irritating.

Vista Ultimate SP2

The problem is just with the name of the tab, not with the contents of the page -- the page looks normal??
I ask about the page because Firefox 23 seems to have introduced a problem with Firefox's "fast back-forward cache" on the Google search results page. It is related to the "instant prediction results" feature interacting with Firefox is some different way. Might be related. Not sure.

• Problem installing exchange add-ons... reports "extension package is invalid. The extension will not be installed."

I have downloaded some extensions, for DW CS5, t be installed via Exchange Manager. They are downloaded as Adobe zip files with the *.zxp extension but, everytime I try and install one I get the above error dialog. Any ideas anyone please?
Thanks

Hi Bob.
For "Free PHP Gallery" that is developed by me ...
If Adobe gave you the extension as a .zip file, then you can unpack this (separately from Dreamweaver) and put the files in a folder of your site, upload the files on your serer with Dreamweaver and access the gallery folder (index page). e.g: www.example.com/gallery/
For the Free PHP Gallery also look at the readme.txt file inside the zip file.

• I have disable all Add-ons - I've reinstalled FireFox 6 three time and it repeatedly locks up and slide shows fail to load. I have all of the proper Flash and Shockwave type Add-ons. I just can't resolve the problem.

I have tried disabling all Add-ons.
I've reinstalled FireFox 6 three time.
Slide show pics fail to load.
I have all of the proper Flash and Shockwave type Add-ons.
I just can't resolve the problem.
Yet my browser repeatedly locks up

Sending a solution that I have already tried is of no help, but I tried them all again, reloading works sometimes, I have seen in the past that others have had this problem also, of pages not completely loading. So I don't see how you can say I am the only one. When I first started using Firefox it worked great but now it doesn't, one of the updates caused this problem. I guess it's back to IE as it works fine now.

• Does firefox support or is there an extension for firefox that adds "internal" QoS?

I would like to add QoS rules to firefox to fulfill a simulation such as the following:
1. 200 kbytes/s down 20 kbytes/s up guaranteed for MLB.tv
2. 150 kbytes/s down 10 kytpes/s up guaranteed for youtube.com
3. All other web pages use the rest of the available bandwidth.
Does firefox support such a feature or is there an extension out there that does? Thank you in advance.

Firefox Throttle, Adblock Plus, XMarks, Split Browser, Download Statusbar, Java Quick Starter

You can open the image file in Firefox via File > Open file or by dragging the file in a Firefox tab, possibly on empty space on the tab bar or the new tab (+) button.
Then you can click the star on the Navigation Toolbar to bookmark the link if that is what you want to achieve.
Click the star a second time to move it to another folder.

EDIT: Sorry I meant the "Save Complete" add-on, not Download Helper.

Be sure "Add-on Bar" is checked (click on "Add-on Bar" to check or un-check)

• Shockwave Flash add on.

I have Shockwave Flash add on (latest update). I have it set to "always activate" - but on a Firefox restart, it reverts to "never activate" and no videos can be played. I can rest it to "always activate" and it works fine until - I stop Firefox then start - the add on once again reverts to disabled.
For some reason Firefox does not remember it's setting and I have to set it every time Firefox starts.
Any clues?

If you find a <b>user.js</b> file, delete it. If you find a <b>prefs.js</b> file, delete that as that will remove any set prefs by user.js
You should also try Safe Mode to see if any of your extensons are causing htis
Start Firefox in <b> Safe Mode</b> to check if one of the extensions (orange Firefox button, top left corner ( for v29+)/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: orange Firefox button, top left corner ( for v29+)/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
*Do not click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.
*Windows/Mac: Go to Help > Restart with add-ons disabled
*Linux: Run firefox -safe-mode in the Terminal/Konsole

• Does Firefox support sites that use captcha codes? Captcha's come blank for me.

Several sites that I use require the use of "Captchas", coded words that prove you are a human and not a computer answering a question. I am unable to take advantage of these sites, or offers, because it seems that Firefox does not allow the use of Captcha's, or at least I have not found out how to enable it yet. A good example is that the SF Giants use Captcha's in special circumstances and when that happens, I am unable to participate in whatever is offered and lose out. I am hopeful that someone out there can help me solve this issue. Thank you.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

• After updating to v. 24.0 (and restarting) ALL add-ons (regardless whether they work or not) are marked "(disabled)", and clicking Enable button does nothing

After updating to v. 24.0 (and restarting, several times) ALL add-ons (regardless whether they work or not) are marked "(disabled)". I tried clicking "Enable" button for each add-on and nothing happened. There is only one add-on which is marked as incompatible with this version (but it was also incompatible with previous version, and so marked).
Clicking "Update Add-ons", gives a short list of add-ons but "Install Updates" button is pale and doesn't work. I can only sort list by name or last update.
Also, I disabled Ask Toolbar and that went well. When I click "Enable" button (button works ONLY for this add-on) it takes forever to get note: “Ask Toolbar will be enabled after you restart Firefox”, I used to get this info in seconds time before this update. (I do not really want Ask Toolbar, I just used it to see whether if I disable and then enable an add-on might do the trick.)
Bottom line – I can not tell if add-on works (i.e. if it is enabled or disabled) unless I try using it.
Even when I posted this question and installed Troubleshooter, it's also marked as "(disabled)"

You're welcome

• I didn't finish the 8.01 upgrade, but firefox turned off some add-ons anyway. How do I know if I'm running 8.01?

I chose the apps/add-ons I wanted to keep, clicked next, and when I found out Norton security wouldn't work, I clicked the X (close button), thinking the update would NOT finish. But now I've lost my centurylink add-on, and I suspect my norton security. How do I get the pre-update version back?
