Does firmware update delete call log?
Hi !
I'm almost new about updating Firmware. On this regard I have a question. I have a Nokia C5 device. I want to update it to fix the restarting Problem.
The question is-
Does Firmware Update delete all the recent call Logs?

Looking at their on-line "manual", there appears to be no way to copy a log back to the iPhone except as a Note. Unless you have a Mac - your profile says you have a Windows system - then Megaphone wouldn't work for you anyway.

Do NOT install AirPort 802.11n Firmware 7.1
This Firmware 7.1 update for AirPort Extreme Base Station with 802.11n should definitely NOT be installed.
Here was my problem:
I used AirPort Utility 5.1 to install the update. It is automatic - launch the utility and it asks if you want to install the update. I said yes because I had problems getting two AirPort n base stations networking together to extend my range (I gave up finally and just used an AirPort Express to extend the range).
After the firmware update, some sites would not load at all (www.nytimes.com) and others took forever to load. And worse, I could not send any email from any of my IMAP accounts. It seemed to be a DNS problem.
I have two 802.11n AirPorts, so I finally went back to the other one (7.0) and everything worked fine. The Apple tech support guy offered to replace my broken (7.1) AirPort.
Foolishly, I wanted to make sure the problem was actually with the 7.1 update and not the AirPort itself. So I updated my second 802.11n base station with 7.1. And it casued the exact same problem (some sites not loading, no outgoing email).
The Apple tech (at this point I was speaking with a wireless specialist) put me on hold to test a few of his AirPorts to see if he could revert back to firmware 7.0 or (ii) install a clean version of 7.1 (in case the version on my drive was corrupted).
Unfotunately neither option was possible, which is a design flaw in AirPort Utility.
Apple is sending me two new AirPorts in 1-2 days, which is great service, but I will not be installing firmware update 7.1 again. Fool me once...

AirPort Extreme Base StationTurns out that the firmware 7.1 does not render the AEBS useless.
My problem was resolved when I turned off my DSL modem, the AEBS and the computer. Then restarted in same order going to the next one after the first is compeletly up and running. I had no problems whatsoever after that.
Seems that the firmware update makes the IPs 'stick' somehow. I would think that even a reset of AEBS might have done it but I never got to that stage.
All my computers came alive in no time.
I suggest Smith tries this. Simply reset the whole network. Ah yes, my cable modem has an internal battery, I needed to disconnect this too. Only then did the modem go into the 'acquiring' or 'distribution' mode. -

If for example a call was received on a sony experia mobile phone at a certain time, then when looked at the call log was deleted how would I
1. Recover the deflated call log ?
2.it was said that the call was received from a viber account . But the number was 5++4 then obviously 7 and the rest of the number.. Now I know that you remove the plus 44 and add 07 to make the number a valid callable number.. . If the call was from a viber account is this the correct number to call back , if they had made a new number on viber would the new number still ring the original telephone number.. I.e is the made up number synced to the correct number.?..
3. So is there any way I can retreive this deleted call log from either the phone, or from the viber account somehow?
Also when I went into viber this particular number and contact information was not down as a contact that was actually using viber

I suggest do a google search on blackberry memory leaks and fix`s . One nice little app that helps alot is Soft Reset , its free and best to download OTA from your blackberry browser , use it once or twice a week and save alot of headaches no more battery pulls . Secondly go to options , security options , memory cleaning , enabled = yes , show icon on home screen = yes and save these settings . Now in your apps icons there will be a new icon looks like a paper shredder , click once and it will clean your memory , do this once or twice a week as well .

IPhone 6 Random Reset and deleting call log and texts?
Anyone else have an issue where their carrier setting were updated, and afterwards their phone randomly reset? I updated my carrier setting, (My phone prompted me to). After that, it did a reset, and when it came back, all my texts and call logs were deleted. I'm curious if it was just a glitch? Or if anyone else is having these issues.

I do not know your experience level, so if you know this I'm sorry but please read and let me
know if this applies.
Most people close the applications by pressing the escape or red key. This does not close the applications.
Each application has a CLOSE option. For instance if you are in the calendar hit the menu key (spotted key) and scroll down to the bottom CLOSE is listed. Go through each application and press close. Go into the browser press menu and options select cache operations clear all categories and hit escape it will say cleaning memory.
Go to options - security - memory cleaning - enable it. The BB will now clean memory when idle for 5 minutes. (if you have that option)
Use the steps in this article by JSANDERS for reclaiming memory. Contained in the article is JCLARS OPTIMIZE YOUR MEMORY GUIDE.

My call log folder is missing from my folder lineup. I can still see recent calls and can delete them one by one but with the call log folder i had the ability to delete them all at once. Is there a way that I can get the folder back?. Or without the folder bieng present how can I delete my call logs all at once?

I accidentally deleted a call log. Is there a way to reinstate the call logs so that calls made within the last few days can be viewed?

When you press the dial button on your 9320
At the top of the screen you should see three tabs, the dial pad, the call log and the contacts tab.
click on the middle Call Log tab. Is your call history there?

Nokia X3-00 : Can not delete Call Log
I am unable to delete 2 Entries in the call log on my Nokia X3-00. When I select delete.. first it displays..'Delete entry from list?' but when I select 'Yes', it shows 'Invalid Selection'..
If I call to these numbers..the details change to the latest call details (i.e. the date, time, duration,etc..) but when I try to delete them again shows the earlier details.
Actally there were almost 15-20 entries in the call log when I performed the delet action.. All but these 2 got deleted..
I have tried Re-booting and Factory Reset..without success..

Nokia C3 - unable to delete call log and some mess...
Hi,
I wonder if you can help me, I have tried to delete my call log from my phone however I get an "invalid selection" error message. The logs do not have any time and date next to the names and I am unable to delete.
Also I have tried to delete some of my messages but all that has happened is the messages appear to be blank and I get the error "Error Occurred, Deletion not completed".
I have spoke to phones 4 u who I got my phone through and they have said they will have a look and it may need to go away to be sorted. I have tried a soft and hard reset but this has not worked. I was wondering if there was anything else I could try before I take it in.

AnnI have managed to fix the problem with the messages, I backed up messages and restored them but I am still having issues with my call log.
Can anyone please help, I really dont want to hand my phone over to phones 4 u for 10 days.

I have my call log det to 30days, but every 24 hours it deletes itself.

Can't Delete Call Log numbers on 8300
I can no longer highlight and delete all numbers in the call log. I am able to select all numbers, but nothing happens when i hit "delete."
Now the track-ball is complete frozen in call log application only.
I previously had no problem with this feature. Suggestions?

Go to Solution.Try resetting the device, with the phone turn on, take out the battery for 30 seconds and reinstall it again.

Does ota update delete apps? Do i have to install all apps again?
I Want to update to ios 8 but i don't want to delete my apps and all data.
A successful OTA update does not delete anything. However, occasionally a glitch occurs and you have to connect to iTunes and restore your iPod. Thus, make sure you backup before each iOS update.

What does firmware update 7.1 fix?!?!
Specifically, does it fix the wake from sleep issue. It's been stated MANY times here some fix suggestion seem to work, others don't.
When my iMac wakes from sleep, Airport doesn't connect. I have to turn off Airport and then back on again for it to connect. I NEVER had this issue with my previous wireless router (NETGEAR).
So, does anyone know if this new firmware addresses this issue and what else it does?

The solution for me is to go into System Preferences/Network and double-click Airport. Change 'By deafult, join' to show 'Preferred Networks' in the drop-down box, then click on + and find your network. Enter your WEP or WPA key and click 'Apply Now'. You should find that you will not have a prroblem auto-connecting after sleep mode.
You can add further networks as you need.
Aplogies if this has been posted before, it hasn't been an isue I've been following, just noticed it under the new firmware thread. -
I have an iPod with some apps and songs and pics an I was wondering of you update your iPod or iPhone if it deletes your data.
Standard Operating Procedure(SOP) for ANY computer...and the iPhone is a mini computer...you backup EVERYTHING before any OS update. You make sure all of your data is backed up & accessible BEFORE you attempt to update your phone. You do that, & you have nothing to worry about.
